With the advancement of high-quality integration in the Yangtze River Delta, it is particularly important to clarify the coupling and coordination process and spatial differentiation between population urbanization and economic development for the future integration and sustainable development of the Yangtze River Delta region. Given this, we establish a comprehensive evaluation index system of population urbanization and economic development based on the period of 2009–2020. Taking the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration as the research object, the entropy method and the coupling coordination model are used to carry out Spatio-temporal coupling analysis. The results show that (1) the level of population urbanization and economic development of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is continuously rising, while economic development lags behind population urbanization development, and the economic development level needs to be further improved. The degree of coupling coordination of population urbanization and economic development has continued to increase, and the synergistic development effect of the two has been improved, (2) the comprehensive level of population urbanization and economic development of each city in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration shows an obvious inter-regional unbalanced development trend, and (3) there is an obvious polarization in the coupling coordination level between population urbanization and economic development in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130338957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Studying the effects of these two quinolones on the growth of common microalgae in water is valuable for understanding the ecological effects of quinolones in the aquatic environment. Therefore, the effects of different concentrations of enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin hydrochloride on the population growth of four species of planktonic microalgae (Chlorella vulgaris, Tetradesmus obliquus, Scenedesmus quadricauda, and Microcystis aeruginosa) were studied. The results showed that there was a significant effect-dose regression relationship between the concentration of nofantibiotic and the growth inhibitory rate of the algae population. The 96h half maximal inhibitory concentration (96h-IC50) of enrofloxacin on T. obliquus, S. quadricauda, M.aeruginosaI and C. vulgaris were 195.6, 88.8, 56.1, and 22.6 mg/L respectively, and the order of sensitivity of the four microalgae to enrofloxacin was T. obliquus<S. quadricauda<M. aeruginosa<C. vulgaris. Another 96h-IC50 of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride to S. quadricauda, T. obliquus, M. aeruginosa, and C. vulgaris were 588.6, 546.3, 49.8, and 44.7 mg/L respectively. The sensitivity of the four microalgae to ciprofloxacin hydrochloride was ranked as follows: S. quadricauda<T. obliquus<M. aeruginosa<C. vulgaris. Among the four species of planktonic microalgae, two species of Scenedesmus were less sensitive to the quinolone antibiotics. Therefore, these two species of Scenedesmus were more resistant to the two quinolone antibiotics, while C. vulgaris was the most sensitive to them. According to the data of IC50, the toxicity of enrofloxacin to three green microalgae was higher than that of ciprofloxacin, while the toxicity of enrofloxacin to M. aeruginosa was lower than that of ciprofloxacin. The population growth of the four planktonic microalgae was inhibited in the first 4 days after being treated by these two quinolone antibiotics, but the microalgae could gradually detoxify and restore their population growth after 96 h. Moreover, the toxicity of enrofloxacin to the four algae increased with time. The toxicity of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride to T. obliquus and S. quadricauda increased, and the toxicity to M. aeruginosa and C. vulgaris decreased. The recovery degree of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride was at least 39% higher than that of enrofloxacin. Low concentrations of enrofloxacin (<36mg/L) provoked a higher density of M. aeruginosa than that of the control group after 10 days of exposure. In this case, the algal density of M. aeruginosa could be more than 107 cells/L when the concentration of enrofloxacin was below 36mg/L.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128786269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The overall level of high-tech industry development in Jingzhou is not high. After experiencing high growth in recent years, it gradually enters a difficult period of industrial development due to the macroeconomic environment and lacks a large contiguous land, adjustment of new city planning, and generalization of policies, compared to similar development zones. We selected 24 representative indicators for the industrial and spatial development of the Jingzhou industry and High-tech Zone to construct an evaluation system for industrial development in Jingzhou. SPSS principal component analysis method was used for validating the system. We analyzed several factors affecting the industrial clustering of enterprises in the Jingzhou high-tech zone by referring to the existing analysis method of industrial spatial aggregation to construct a calculation model for the industrial spatial aggregation of the Jingzhou high-tech zone. The industrial spatial aggregation of 49 enterprises in the Jingzhou high-tech zone was calculated, too. The results of principal component analysis and the calculation results of the industrial aggregation degree of 49 enterprises showed that the industrial development of Jingzhou was positive in time and space, and six items, such as industrial turnover of movable assets, industrial debt rate, industrial loss rate, industrial secondary industry fixed investment, industrial employment population, and sewage treatment rate affected the zone’s industrial development.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130429093","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, coal-using cities are facing the dual pressure of the ecological environment and resource depletion due to the concentration of population and resources, and environmental contradictions. Thus, exploring the relationship between the supply and demand of ecosystem services and their evolution help promote scientific ecological management. By using multi-source data from Huainan City in 2010 and 2020 and the ecosystem service supply and demand matrix and ArcGIS quantitative measurement of the supply, the demand and supply of ecosystem services in Huainan City were investigated. The result implies the following. (1) During 2010‒2020, the supply of ecosystem services in Huainan has decreased year by year. In terms of spatial distribution, the ecosystem service supply in Huainan City was high in the south and low in the north, and there is a significant regional differentiation, (2) Between 2010 and 2020, the demand for ecosystem services in Huainan City increased year by year, and its spatial distribution was similar to the distribution of ecosystem service supply. (3) Due to the decline in the supply of ecosystem services between 2010 and 2020, the demand for ecosystem services has increased, which leads to changes in the matching degree of supply and demand of ecosystem services in Huainan City.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123851138","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biopesticides are biodegradable, environment-friendly, and non-destructive insecticides that are safe for creatures. They leave no harmful residues in food or feed. Botanical, microbiological, and biochemical biopesticides are the three types of biopesticides. 3,000 tons of biopesticides are produced every year, accounting for around 2.5% of the overall pesticide market. Biopesticides are currently accessible in a variety of forms, including dust, granules, powders, emulsions, suspension concentrates, and so on. The Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) in India requires data on chemistry, bioefficacy, toxicity, packaging, and labeling to register biopesticides. Although India has registered 970 biopesticide products, lesser effectiveness, shorter shelf-life, lack of knowledge, and lengthy registration process remain hurdles. New and improved formulation methods might improve biopesticide efficacies, self-lives, and climate resiliency while lowering prices and making them economically competitive with synthetic chemicals. The main types of biopesticides, their benefits and downsides, worldwide and Indian market scenarios, formulations, registration procedures, and current advancements for users and environment-friendly applications and sustainable agriculture are all covered in this review article.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115123468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It includes organic and inorganic components, heavy metals, salts, other dissolved substances, and others due to indiscriminate disposal of untreated domestic and industrial effluents, urban and/or agricultural runoff which exists in the form of micro or nano level in nature. Higher TDS levels in water severely impact health and the environment. For instance, it causes gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, genotoxic, respiratory, skin, and hepatic effects in humans. High TDS level (> 500 ppm) results in excessive scaling in household appliances (e.g., pipes, heaters, and boilers) thereby reducing their efficiency. Therefore, the removal of TDS from various water matrices is taking paramount importance to minimize its impact on health and the environment. Various TDS removal technologies based on the membrane, ion, and temperature gradient are employed to treat water. In this review paper, several TDS removal technologies for instance reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, distillation, ultrafiltration, forward osmosis, precipitation, desalination, ion exchange, electrochemical techniques, electrodialysis, electrolysis, electrocoagulation, and adsorption are discussed in detail.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114200307","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, we carried out a statistical analysis of the questionnaire survey result which was obtained from residents of the high-density areas in Xuzhou, China. From the literature review, we defined 9 landscape elements including the density of buildings in residential areas, duration of sunshine acceptable to residents, the skyline of sight opening, the proportion of the sky in the picture, a sense of closeness between buildings, the sense of distance between buildings, open area, area proportion of green vegetation, and types of green vegetation analysis. We analyzed the correlation and linear relationship of the elements with the spatial oppression of the respondents. The results show that there is no significant positive correlation between the proportion of the sky in the picture and space oppression, but the other 8 elements are significantly correlated with spatial oppression. Especially, the density of buildings in the residential area, the time that residents can accept sunshine, the openness of the skyline of sight, the sense of closure between buildings, the sense of distance between buildings, the open area, the area ratio of green vegetation, the types of green vegetation and spatial oppression are more significant factors to affect spatial oppression.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126646007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For reducing construction waste, the prefabricated house can use recycled materials from construction sites. For using renewable energy, the solar water heater is proposed to be included in the design of the houses. For large temperature variations in seasons, appropriate design of façade, planting on buildings, and sunshades need to be installed with the harmonization of the house design. The development of modern technologies needs to be reflected in the design of new rural houses in various design elements as the proposed prefabricated house. The new design helps farmers improve their quality of living, recognize environmental problems, and finally adopt new measures for saving energy and environmental protection. The new design of rural houses is expected to promote the sustainable development of the rural community.","PeriodicalId":340622,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Environmental Sustainability and Protection","volume":"340 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133929433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
