The CPUE trend that continues to decline every year is feared to have a negative impact on fish resource stocks and even the tendency of overfishing. Therefore, to overcome the existing problems, an integrated approach to fisheries management is needed through the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM). This study aims to assess the status and formulate management actions for tuna fisheries based in the Pasongsongan Coastal Fishing Port (PPP), Sumenep Regency. Methods: The types and sources of data used in this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through survey and observation methods. Interviews were conducted with 40 randomly selected purse seine fishermen respondents, as well as 1 employee of the Sumenep District Fisheries Office. Secondary data were collected through existing data such as tuna catch, number of trips, number of purse seine fleets, fish prices. Analysis was conducted through an indicator approach using the Multi Criteria Analysis (MCA) approach. Results: The results of the analysis show that the institutional domain shows a very good status, while for the domains of fish resources, fishing techniques, and social with good status, then the economic domain has a moderate status. Conclusion: Based on these indicators, the management status of tuna resources based in the Pasongsongan Coastal Fishing Port is generally in good condition.","PeriodicalId":34057,"journal":{"name":"AGROMIX","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139334097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The source of risk is predicted to continue to grow which greatly affects the total agricultural yield. Farming risk consists of production risk and price. Production risk is related to production uncertainty. Price risk is related to price fluctuations that cause losses to farmers because prices are difficult to predict. Indonesia is known for its diversity with nearly 300 ethnicities. Each ethnic group has different characteristics in behavior, language and customs. This difference is possible to influence decisions in managing a business, including in dealing with farming risks. This study attempts to analyze the behavior of rice farmers on the risk of farming among various ethnic groups in East Java and factors that influence farmer behavior towards farming risk. Methods: This research was conducted in Pamekasan, Ngawi and Pasuruan, where these three districts represent Javanese, Madurese, and Madura-Javanese ethnic assimilation. The data used are primary data collected from 49 respondents in Pamekasan Regency, 72 in Ngawi Regency and 65 in Pasuruan Regency so that a total of 186 respondents using the cluster sampling approach. Farmers' behavior towards farm risk was analyzed using the Just and Pope risk function model with the utility function approach, while the analysis of factors that influenced behavior towards farm risk was carried out using multiple regression. Results: The results of the analysis show that the behavior of rice farmers in Pamekasan District with Madura ethnic risk seekers, in Pasuruan Regency is a risk averse and in Ngawi Regency is a risk seeker. On the other hand, increasing financial literacy is the government's focus in realizing people's welfare. The purpose of this study was analyzed the level of financial literacy of farmer households, as well as its effect on the farmer household welfare in Gorontalo Province. Method: Sample was selected based on purposive sampling technique with a total of 120 farmer households. The data analysis technique uses a linear regression model with a dummy variable technique and adds a variable social support of the farmer's household in estimating the effect of financial literacy on the farmer's household welfare. Result: The results of this study indicate that financial literacy which consists of variable knowledge of financial institutions and ownership of savings account, has a positive and significant effect on the farmer household welfare. Farmers who have literacy and access to capital at financial institutions are predicted to be 46.57% more likely to prosper than those who do not. Likewise, farmers who have savings accounts at financial institutions are estimated to be 44.1% more likely to prosper than farmers who do not have savings account. The variable of social support of farmer households, such as: household heads’ age, number household members, and number of employed household, also affected the farmer households welfare in Gorontalo Province. Conclusion: Financial literacy determines the level of welfare of farmer households in Gorontalo Province. Efforts to increase the level of financial literacy of farmers in Gorontalo Province need to be realized in the form of financial education programs in order to support Government programs. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":34057,"journal":{"name":"AGROMIX","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47045286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The quality of nutmeg seed rapidly declines so that it can affect the productivity of both the seed and its production. This study aims to determine the effect of the storage period and the type of packaging for the storage of nutmeg seeds. Method: This study used a factorial complete block design with the type of packaging factor in several storage periods. Treatment Types of Packaging (K) consisted of four types, namely plastic standing pouch packaging with a size of 14 x 20 cm with a thickness of 0.10 mm (K1), plastic sack packaging which was converted to a size of 17 x 21 cm with a thickness of 0.10 mm (K2), a burlap sack packaging which was converted to a size of 14.5 x 20 cm thickness 0,20 mm (K3), and a rectangular jar measuring 12 x 19 cm thickness 0,20 mm (K4). The storage period was carried out for 12 days (P1), 18 days (P2) and 24 days (P3). The experiment was carried out in room conditions with an average temperature of 28.910C and RH 61.17%. Result: The results showed that storage of nutmeg seeds for 12 days in plastic standing pouch packaging was able to maintain the viability of nutmeg seeds. Storage like this produces seeds with germination capacity (56.25%), moisture content (48.42%), respiration rate (32.35 mmCO2/kg/hour), growth speed (10.5%/etmal), vigor index (9.73) and seed germination capacity. 55.00.
