And Random Walk is a promising approach for semi-supervised learning problems of learning from labeled and unlabeled data. Given a set of points, some of them are labeled, and the remaining points are unlabeled, the goal is to predict the labels of the unlabeled points. Since labeling often requires expensive human labor, whereas unlabelled data is easier to obtain, semi-supervised learning is very useful in many real-world problems, such as text classification. Here we proposed an approach for Chinese question Classification using Multilevel Random Walk (MRK), which is an improvement of random walk. In this paper, we selected four kinds of features (words, pos, named entity, semantic) to present Chinese questions, and carried out experiments to validate the method on a large-scale real-world dataset.","PeriodicalId":339711,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Intelligent Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126562008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the corresponding mathematical model of multicast is introduced. By modifying PSO, the proposed algorithm, both solving the problem's NP-completeness and adapting to the network inaccurate status description, can find the QoS-satisfied multicast tree. Simulated implementations and performance evaluations have been done over some actual and virtual network topologies, showing that the proposed algorithm is both feasible and effective.","PeriodicalId":339711,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Intelligent Systems","volume":"177 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126023462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our previous work, we investigated the PAM for a typical real-world complex network—citation network by considering the dynamic citation properties in nodes' in-degree. And the short-term preferential attachment mechanism (SMPAM) is proposed to explore the reason for forming the scale-free topology of citation network. Basing on SMPAM, we further proposed a scale-free network model for citation network. The model just considers the citations that papers obtained in the recent one-year period to determine the attachment rate. Taking the mean field method, we deduced the degree distribution of citation network and found that the model evolving into a scale-free network with the power-law exponent r=2. The results by simulation also show a good power-law distribution of citation network, which exhibits the validity of the model proposed.","PeriodicalId":339711,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Intelligent Systems","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121125439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem of recognizing human actions in video have proven to be a difficult challenge for computer vision. A common trend is to combine shape and motion feature in Bag-of-word (BoW) framework. The BoW framework needs read the whole video for once recognition. It could not be applicable in real-time system. For solving this problem, this paper proposes a real-time processing human action method. Firstly, the motion information is used to locate the region of interesting area. And then the effective shape and motion description is found for the area. Finally, the SVM classifier is trained for the event recognition. And the recognition results on KTH human action datasets including a variety of person and action show that the accuracy and recall of our method is better than Jhuang and Dollar's; and the process time is superior to Jhuang's system.","PeriodicalId":339711,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Intelligent Systems","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116587897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the traditional workflow management systems are designed to handle the static business processes. How to model dynamic changes of workflow is one of hotspots of current research. The unified modeling language (UML) and polychromatic sets (PS) theory are introduced and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed, and a composite approach to modeling dynamic changes of workflow is proposed. Based on this composite approach, the UML activity diagram models and PS contour matrix models of the most common dynamic workflow changes, such as addition, deletion and structural transform of nodes, are established and described formally. Research results show that the proposed modeling approach of dynamic workflow changes has an easy-to-understand graphical feature and a well-defined mathematical foundation. Furthermore, it can provide a significant progress and advantage in problem formalization for running instances migration.","PeriodicalId":339711,"journal":{"name":"2010 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Intelligent Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125078610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
