The author analyzes performance budget, its objectives and characteristics, stressing that the Polish legal system there is a need to develop the scope of the liability for violation of public finance discipline. In the current state of the law difficult, and sometimes impossible is to punish those responsible for non-compliance related to making public spending included in the relevant performance budget. The study used different research methods: a comparative legal, dogmatic, analytical, which has been used in relation to the relevant substantive laws, judgments adjudicating bodies in cases of violation of public finance discipline and administrative courts, as well as literature. How can the experience of startups benefit established companies whose culture is fundamentally different due to the organizational inertia? The development of corporate entrepreneurship could be aided by accelerated learning by iterations that constitute the key startup-specific practice. Strategic corporate entrepreneurship offers limited possibilities of implementing learning practices of startups and building a lean enterprise, whereas better conditions in this respect are created by corporate venturing. The negative consequences of these changes are visible especially in the labour market. For these reasons, it is necessary to undertake efforts aimed at improving working conditions, retraining employees, as well as introducing flexible working hours in order to increase employment among older people. These activities support the implementation of the concept of age management which is becoming increasingly popular among European countries. This idea aims to allow workers, and particularly the elderly, a fuller use of their abilities, thereby increasing their motivation to work. The article is divided into two parts. Section 1 presents the statistical perspective of the public finance deficit in the years 2007–2015, while Section 2 mentions the domestic and international (EU) regulations regarding the maintenance of the equilibrium in the public sector. It seems that those regulations constitute a solid base for pursuing the budgetary policy in Poland, which ought to prevent excessive deficits and be co-ordinated with economic development programmes. If one assumes that fiscal policy reflects political and socio-economicpriorities, then following those rules and meeting those criteria, for political reasons, limit the freedom of decision-making in the scope of this policy. Based on an extensive implication in the Connecting Africa and OLPC Projects, Airtel Telecom Group (a Canadian company) partners decided to go one step further in their quest to revamp state owned telcos and postal service providers who were on the brink of collapse. Unlike low-cost models developed by well-known heavyweights like SFR, Ryanair, Blue Jet, Easyjet, Walmart, etc., a frugal and sustainable business model like the one discussed in this paper has a lot more to do with Jugaad Innovation frameworks which led to many affordable and responsible breakthroughs in healthcare, education, housing, broadband, transportation, alternative energies, etc.; therefore, our main goal is to (a) distinguish between frugal and costkilling models, (b) explain the characteristics of jugaad-based framework and philosophy versus revenue-driven business models, (c) explain the importance of sustainable and organic business models in developing markets versus imported plug & play recipes. However, they are essential in determining the value of Ireland’s ocean economy, so as to realise its full potential. SEMRU began the extensive task of data collection and analysis of Ireland’s ocean economy in 2009. This resulted in the publication of a series of bi-annual ocean economy reports, to which, this report is the latest addition. The report provides a quantification and realistic monitoring of Ireland’s ocean economy over time and presents a complete and comparable sectoral profile across the ocean economy, which allows us to observe progress on the targets set out in the Government’s Integrated Marine Plan for Ireland - Harnessing Our Ocean Wealth (2012). The reference year for this report is 2014. The report includes a set of economic projections that forecast Ireland’s ocean economy up to 2016. The qualitative study examines the impact of the determinants, such as technology, market, regulation and firm specific factors, on the development of eco-innovative solutions of analysed companies. Based on the in-depth interviews conducted with forty selected companies, it is possible to specify the determinants of firms’ eco-innovative activity and motivation factors for creating product eco-innovations in Poland. These are mainly market- and technology-related factors. The aim of the study was to analyze changes in the level of nurses wages in Poland in 2010–2014 based on available statistical data. In the analyzed period, the nurses salaries growth rate was the lowest, both in comparison with the average wages of people working in entities employing more than 9 persons and with wages of employees of other medical professions. After taking into account the inflation rate, 2.3% of decline in real nurses wages was observed in 2010–2014. Data from different sources show significant differences in the level of average nurses gross wages.
