The purpose of the algorithm is to modify the vehicle charging price according to office hours, through incentives based on the current demand for time and photovoltaic generation at the charging station. In this way, it is possible to encourage charging behavior at times convenient for the company, relating the times of lower demand for electricity in the consumer unit and encouraging the use of the electric vehicle fleet.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123444706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents our power measurement laboratory and include as an application example the comparison between FPGA and CPU running an image segmentation algorithm. The FPGA implementation targets AlveoU50 board and was developed using Vitis HLS, the CPU uses OpenCV library and runs in an Intel Xeon 4208. The FPGA version is 20x more energy efficient than the CPU for 4K images and 38x for 8K images.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"25 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129861864","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, a feedback linearisation law in conjunction with a Generalized Proportional Integral (GPI) controller is used. The GPI controller was designed to compensate for drag and lift forces, variables that cannot be measured and unmodeled dynamics present in this vehicle. Disturbances are analyzed considering the interaction of drag and lift forces with the effective angle of attack. Also, the analysis of the error dynamics is carried out, which guarantees the convergence of the error to zero in finite time. Therefore, the control scheme is robust to disturbances that usually appear when modifying the traditional design of a quadrotor. The GPI and PID control algorithms were compared using numerical simulations to demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm. The work was carried out using the following methodology: the aerodynamic effects and non-linear characteristics present in the SUAVI were analyzed, which are included in the mathematical model and the controllers were designed based on the obtained model. Finally, the proposed controllers were simulated.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128209284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DNP is an open-loop frequency response design method with an embedded capability of allocating a complex pole pair of the closed loop system. The PSS tuning is performed on a two–bus synthetic power system model whose results are validated against detailed multigenerator power plant models, thus emphasizing the advantages of using the DNP method together with the synthetic system to perform a PSS tuning in practice.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"168 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128614236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a disease in which cells in the breast grow and multiply out of control. Fortunately, it can be treated and cured if it is early detected. The most widely used screening method for this disease is mammography, which has a reporting standard, called “Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System” (BIRADS), which classifies the lesions in categories numbered from 0 to 6. The aim of this research seeks to design and implement a computer-assisted diagnosis algorithm, in order to identify and classify breast lesions using image processing techniques, as a diagnostic aid for radiologists. For this purpose, five stages were done: Image pre-processing, image segmentation (including pectoral muscle and lesions in the area) by using region-growing technique, texture and morphological features extraction and classification of the lesions. To classify the lesions, a multilayer perceptron (MLP) was used, obtaining an 74.6% of accuracy, fulfilling the objective of exceeding the accuracy of a specialized observer.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128935140","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The large number of variables in these systems results in a huge state space. Thus, computing an explicit representation of the cost function over said space, which is at the heart of most current optimization methods, becomes infeasible. The strategies presented here aim at solving the aforementioned problem by learning an implicit representation of the cost function over the state space. Another key idea is to keep the complexity of the representation at a minimum, in order to obtain a solution which captures the most relevant characteristics of the cost-to-go of the system, with the least possible parameters.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130656814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, its prohibitive cost may limit the wide installation of this device in the networks. For this reason, in this paper, the problem of optimal PMU placement was solved using Integer Linear Programming and some metaheuristic techniques, such as, the Genetic Algorithms, Particle Swarm Optimization and Cuckoo Search. In addition, the test feeders were modeled as graphs, in order to introduce the domination concepts of graph theory in this problem formulation and, using the upper and lower bounds of the domination number, evaluate the optimization algorithms results. The proposed methodology was performed using the IEEE 13, 34, 37 and 123 node test feeders, and it can be generalized for feeders with higher dimensions. Based on the results, it is possible to conclude that the Integer Linear Programming is the most suitable for this application, presenting the lowest number of PMUs and the fastest convergence.","PeriodicalId":337257,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE URUCON","volume":"216 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132857729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
