There are various methods to improve health such as mindfulness and massage-aromatherapy. This study aimed to compare the e ff ec ti veness of mindfulness training and massage-aromatherapy on psychological health of elderly women with chronic pain. Materials and Methods: Present study was a Quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design. Research popula ti on was elderly women with chronic pain referring to clinics of rehabilita ti on, orthopedic and physiotherapy of west Tehran in 2017. 45 people were selected by available sampling method and randomly assigned into three group. Experimental groups trained 8 sessions of 90 minutes by methods of mindfulness and massage-aromatherapy, respec ti vely and the control group was placed on the wai ti ng list for training. The research instruments were the ques ti onnaires of perceived stress, geriatric depression, quality of life and percep ti on of pain. Data were analyzed by mul ti variate analysis of covariance and Bonferroni post hoc test methods. Results: The fi ndings showed that both methods of mindfulness training and massage-aromatherapy led to signi fi cant decrease the perceived stress and depression of elderly women with chronic pain, but didn’t have a signi fi cant e ff ect on their quality of life and percep ti on of pain. Also, there was no signi fi cant di ff erence between two methods of mindfulness training and massage-aromatherapy (P<0/05). Conclusion: The results indicated the e ff ec ti veness of mindfulness training and massage-aromatherapy on perceived stress and depression of elderly women with chronic pain. Therefore, these methods can be used along with other methods to improve some characteris ti cs associated with psychological health.","PeriodicalId":33500,"journal":{"name":"amwzsh bhdsht w rtq slmt yrn","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47408048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials and Methods: This randomized controlled fi eld trial study was done on 78 female high school students in Aq-Qala, Golestan province. Using mul ti -stage sampling, two high schools in the interven ti onal group and two high schools in the control group were selected, then two classes selected from each high school, data were collected before and a ft er of interven ti on by using a ques ti onnaire based on HBM. Data were analyzed using SPSS.17 so ft ware and Chi-square, Fisher exact test, T-paired test, Wilcoxon, Independent T-test, and ANCOVA. Results: Before training, there was not a signi fi cant di ff erence in the mean scores of the health belief model constructs and in terms of demographic characteris ti cs between two groups except in knowledge construct. A ft er the educa ti onal interven ti on, the T-paired test showed that the mean of knowledge and perceived suscep ti bility were increased signi fi cantly, and the mean of perceived barriers was decreased signi fi cantly in the experimental group (P<0.05). Materials and Methods:The research method was semi-experimental using pretest-posttest and comparing with the control group. The study population consisted of all members of Shirvan city multiple sclerosis association (N=50) in 2017. The sample consisted of 26 volunteers who were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups (for each group 10 subject). Data gathering instrument was Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life-54 (MSQOL-54) questionnaire completed by the both groups before and after the intervention. Experiment group participated in 8 sessions of ACT and the control group did not receive any intervention. Covariance analysis method was used to analyze data. All analyzes were performed using SPSS-24. Results: ACT had a significant effect on improving the quality of life and dimensions of physical and mental health in the experimental group (p<0.001). Based on the rules and regulations of workers in different occupations, each year they must undergo certain medical tests and examinations to ensure they have sufficient health to perform their duties. This study aimed to predict the results of examinations, extraction of knowledge and identifying patterns and agents that affect workers' health. Materials and Methods:This was a descriptive-analytic study conducted in Tehran among 1267 employees of various occupations who participated in annual examinations of labor medicine in 2017 and 80 variables related to their health and occupational and family background were collected during the examinations. Due to the size and type of data, the C5.0 decision tree method was used to perform data mining and discovery process. Results: Using the C5.0 decision tree, a model with accuracy of 99.05% was introduced. According to this model, variables with the greatest impact on the health of the employees were identified. Hearing status, especially hearing loss at frequencies of 6000 and 4000 Hz, had the greatest impact on the results of employee health examinations. Conclusion: According to the extracted patterns and identification of determinants that had the greatest impact on the result of medical examinations, it is possible to control the specified factors to improve the health of workers.","PeriodicalId":33500,"journal":{"name":"amwzsh bhdsht w rtq slmt yrn","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43499577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
