Quality measurement methods provide foundation for software design and improvement. However, effective quality measurement methods for component models are still lacked. Software quality model ISO-IEC9126 is extended and a suit of novel performance indicators suitable for feature space-based component model are proposed in this paper. Thus, a systemic suit of performance indicators for measuring quality of component model is established. Because of the fuzzy nature of the performance indicators, a fuzzy integrated evaluation method for measuring quality of feature space-based component model is proposed based on the fuzzy integrated evaluation theory. Finally, a case is given to verify the effectiveness of both the proposed performance indicators and the proposed evaluation method.","PeriodicalId":333889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Internet Computing in Science and Engineering","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116614949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Interoperability test sequence generation is an important issue in this field. During interoperability testing, a minimal number of test sequences are expected to reduce the size of system state space and obtain more practical test case. This paper focuses on the interoperability test sequences generation optimization to avoid the well- known state space explosion problem. Compare with the conventional methods, our method can produce more effective test sequences in terms of both test size and coverage.","PeriodicalId":333889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Internet Computing in Science and Engineering","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122213140","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The adaptive mechanism and similarity control of assignment candidates function together to impulse persistent resource scheduling in changing program environment. Simulation results show that ARS achieves much improvement both in throughput and fairness metric. Meanings and settings of important ARS parameters are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":333889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Internet Computing in Science and Engineering","volume":"138 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125742316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we describe the performance tuning work in the process of enabling full virtualization on Xen. Firstly, we briefly summarize our extensions on performance tuning tools. Then, through data analysis collected by the performance tuning toolkits, we observe that system performance bottlenecks are mainly introduced by memory and I/O virtualization overheads. Finally, we describe our optimizations and possible proposals to address these bottlenecks for resolving performance bugs in Xen/VT architecture. In that process, more specifically, we improved the virtual platform performance by 10% for compute-intensive benchmarks, by moving virtual PIC to hypervisor. In the meantime, we enhanced virtual IDE disk DMA operation performance through concurrent processing and increased virtual network interface card performance more than ten times by reconstruction using an event-driven mechanism. In addition, to achieve higher quality in system X, we also optimized a virtual video graphic card, and several times we got performance gain through our shared virtual video memory approach.","PeriodicalId":333889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Internet Computing in Science and Engineering","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131874689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The intuition of condensed cube is to compress semantically redundant tuples into their representative base single tuples (BSTs). However, previous studies showed that a minimal condensed cube is expensive to compute, and thus mainly concentrated on alternative computation methods for non-minimal condensed cube, which does not guarantee to find and compress all BSTs. In this paper, we focus on the minimal condensed cube and address several practical issues, including physical organization, fast computation, and incremental update. Design of rule library is discussed after introducing syntax and semantics of the rules. The system named SCDB (software component database) is developed.
