The channel model is based on the spatial channel model (SCM) approach, proposed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) organization. The symbol error rate (SER) of MIMO systems in multipath propagation environment depends on the spatial correlation function of the channel particularly, dependent on antenna element distance in base station (BS) and mobile station (MS) sides. Based on an algorithm of Vertical Bell Laboratories Layered Space Time (V-BLAST), a successive cancellation method applied to the receiver, we obtain the high signal-noise rate (SNR) in correlation channel. The number of users when using SFBC with VBLAST is also calculated in the system, the more of the users the lower of the SERs. Our results are simulated on the SCM in three environments such as suburban-macro, urban-macro and urban-micro cell based on long term evolution (LTE) down link standard for 2×2 MIMO OFDMA system. The simulation results show that the combined SFBC code scheme with VBLAST-ZF has better performance than that obtained by using only detection when the same distance of antenna elements (correlation ratio) is used.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126020045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the considered system, precoding at base stations (BS) and postcoding at users are jointly determined to manage both inter-user interference (IUI) and ICI under mean square error (MSE) criterion. Unlike zero-forcing based precoding, the proposed MSE-based precoding scheme still work as the number of transmit antennas at each BS is smaller than the total number of receive antennas at all users.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129467872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As for a RCS estimation object, a scale down model is often employed for the ease of measurements. Recently, electromagnetic simulations of RCS become very convenient because of developments of high speed calculation methods such as MLFMM and HOBF in electromagnetic simulators employing MoM algorithm. As for measurements, high resolution measurements by time domain analysis are employed. In this paper, important characteristics with a scale model are briefly explained. As for calculation, comparisons between actual calculation abilities of MoM, MLFMM and HOBF are made at 18 GHz for 1/48 scale model. As for measurement, a high resolution measurement system employing a compact range and time domain analysis that is used in this study is explained. Next, calculated and measured results are compared in order to show the accuracies of obtained results. Moreover, the effective calculation method in increasing frequency is also investigated in order to estimate the actual RCS value.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129893727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This potential is achieved based on its capacity to combine missing information from different input low-resolution frames. Although there have been many studies in recent decades, super-resolution problems for real-world video processing still have many challenges. This is dues to two problems of: how to address the affecting factors: motion, sampling and noise explicitly and how to solve them exactly and efficiently. This paper introduces an efficient approach for video super-resolution by addressing real motion, sampling and noise models. Based on that, we proposed a model for receiving a practical video and an efficient framework to estimate adaptively the motion and noise to reconstruct the original high-resolution frames. Our system achieves promising results when compare with other state-of-the-art in quality and processing time.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121968610","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

OR exploits the broadcast nature of wireless transmission medium and opportunistically selects a relay path to deliver a packet to its receiver. In this paper, we explore the gain of adopting OR in wireless multicast. The main challenge is to efficiently share opportunistic relay paths between multiple receivers. We proposed a scheme in [1] named Minimum Steiner Tree with Opportunistic Routing (MSTOR). In MSTOR, the source and receivers are connected by a Steiner tree. Packets are transmitted using Unicast OR on each link of the tree. MSTOR does not exploit opportunistic receptions cross different links in the tree. In this paper, we propose a Multicast OR (MOR) algorithm follow another approach. Starting from the source, MOR opportunistically employs a set of forwarders to push a packet closer to all receivers round-by-round. Each forwarder is responsible for sending the packet to a subset of receivers, and transmits the packet once each round. Based on packet receptions at the end of each round, a new forwarder set is constructed to maximize the Expect Transmission Advancement (ETA) towards all receivers. We study the performance improvement of MSTOR and MOR using numerical simulations. Our results demonstrate that both MOR and MSTOR can achieve a much higher multicast efficiency than the original Unicast OR and the traditional minimum multicast-tree based schemes. MOR constantly achieves significant transmission cost savings in all studied cases.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125237393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results with analog input signal are presented in spectrum domain for the evaluation of link performance. A novel simple time-domain linearization scheme results in 44.5 dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) improvement and allows optical modulation depths approaching π/2 radian. The peak-to-peak voltage of the modulated signal could then reach to Vπ with negligible impact of MZM distortion. The work presented here demonstrates that the performance of the analog-optical link increases significantly thanks to the proposed technique.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126528304","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, we consider two scenarios in terms of dissimilar fading channel arrangements: the legal/illegal channels are subject to Rayleigh/Rician fading, respectively; and the legal/illegal channels are subject to Rician/Rayleigh fading, respectively. Specifically, analytical expressions for the probability of the existence of a non-zero secrecy capacity and the secrecy outage probability are derived by using statistical characteristics of the signal-to-noise ratio. Numerical results are provided for selected scenarios to illustrate applications of the developed analytical expressions.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"163 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127376176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thereby, the proposed algorithm can allow selected routes corresponding to minimum energy possible between source and destination nodes in cognitive radio networks. The contribution of this paper is achieved through energy utilized in the network.
