It has also been wildly used in many applications. In this paper, we present the conventional MFCC feature extraction method and propose two novel versions of MFCC method that will combine the PCA technique and conventional MFCC feature extraction method. Finally, these three different MFCC methods will be tested in terms of recognition accuracy and the execution time of the HMM training process. From these two measures (i.e. recognition accuracy and time complexity of HMM training process), the developers can choose the appropriate MFCC method for the speech recognition application.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123124229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the increasing energy cost in operational costs demands effective tools to identify energy efficiency indicators (EEIs) and predict the evolution of energy efficiency performance (EEP). The energy efficiency (EE) improvement of any segment in the communication networks (CNs) can help lower energy cost and protect environment of network operators. The spread of users in overall areas results in the increasing number of base stations (BSs), which are main components of CN. As a supporting function of management tools, predicting EEP is a requested function of energy management system (EMS) by network operators. In this context, this paper presents the demand of EMS for integrating prediction of EEP deterioration. In addition, the energy efficiency function block to modelling the BSs with numerous of indicators is proposed. By prognostic approaches (PA) and suitable aggregation methods, network operators can handle their situations. An EEP degradation demonstration has been conducted by using PA and EE model of BS. An additional benefit can also be seen as increasing reliability of energy backup units in various scenarios of power source disturbance. Finally, the requirement of sensor networks in acquiring technical data of BS deterioration states is mentioned.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117217524","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The usage of difficult problems provide signature protocol with security improvement, because the probability to break the protocol has been reduced significant. This can be achieved due to the appearance of breakthrough solutions in the area of the factoring problem and the discrete logarithm modulo a prime problem. One of the features of the protocol is using the non-cyclic finite group. After selecting appropriate parameters which provide 80-bit security, the size of the proposed collectively signature is 240 bits and is not dependent on the number of signers.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125872009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose an algorithm to gather sensory data based on sensor neighborhoods in such networks for further energy saving purposes. The CS measurements created from random neighborhoods are sent to the base-station (BS). The BS implements a CS reconstruction algorithm to recover all raw sensor readings precisely based on a certain number of measurements. Both one-hop and multi-hop transmissions to forward CS measurements from each sensor neighborhood to the BS are considered. All consumed power elements with data collection are formulated and compared in simulation.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125397509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effectiveness of detection depends on the kind of signature. In this paper, we propose a signature generation method using Discrete Fourier Transform. Our method regards payload between client and server as discrete waveform. Regarding normal communication spectrum as noise, we can clarify the characteristics of attack sessions. From the viewpoint of spectrum analysis, our method detects attack sessions. Furthermore, it has dynamic analysis features like anomaly type of IDS and will be able to detect unknown attack session. Our proposal method simulated using a Kyoto2006+ data set which is currently used as an intrusion detection evaluation. In order to effectively do the analysis and evaluation, we firstly derive to develop a three-dimensional electromagnetic (EM) propagation model which can characterize at any point in free space the far-field scattered by a scenario. The far-field at a given point includes the amplitude and the phase. The proposed scenario in the paper comprises of a metallic wall and a canonical object placed behind the wall in a way that there is no issue of direct line-of-sight (LOS). We configure two UWB radars, as transmitter and receiver, in bistatic mode working at high frequencies (i.e. Ka-band). Then, we apply this model to compare with some experimental results in the anechoic chamber with regard to explain and evaluate the diffraction effect in target detection and localization.","PeriodicalId":333572,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC 2014)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132542356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
