This evaluation may include a review and analysis of the textbooks, used in working with gifted students and provide a reliable source of information about the quality of the content of the educational materials.\u0000Expert assessment can reflect which topics and concepts meet the needs of gifted students, which methods and approaches can be effective for teaching this category of students, and which resources can be useful for developing their abilities. This data can be used by administrators and educators to improve the preparation of gifted students.\u0000In addition, expert assessment of textbooks can be an important quality management tool when it comes to selecting textbooks and other instructional materials for gifted students. According to the results of the assessment, decisions can be made regarding the selection of the most suitable textbooks and teaching aids, which will help to ensure high-quality and effective training of gifted students.\u0000However, expert assessment of textbooks has its limitations. It can be very expensive and time-consuming. In addition, its results may be limited and not consider students’ individual needs.\u0000It is important to note, that the expert assessment of textbooks is significant not only for gifted students but for the entire education system as a whole. Quality textbooks develop students’ skills and knowledge, allowing them to successfully adapt to the demands of the modern world. It was established, that the intensification of the educational process requires the search and use of new forms, methods and technologies of teaching and learning, means of supporting students' interest in the material and activation of their cognitive activity. Thus, one of the urgent problems of modern methods of teaching foreign languages ​​is the organization of the teaching process for students of different age groups with the help of a communicative approach. The article mentions various types and subtypes of conditionally communicative and fully communicative activities, which are most commonly used to teach students speaking foreign language. The article also defines the features and the means of using certain types of speech activities, in particular, reproductive exercises, which include: 1) retelling, 2) abbreviated and selective retelling, 3) retelling-translation, 4) dramatization, 5) creative retelling. As for responsive activities, they include: 1) question-and-answer exercises, 2) replica exercises, 3) free conversation. Among the productive activities, we highlight the following: situational activities that combine 1) solving problem situations, 2) imaginary situations, 3) role-playing. Descriptive activities include various types of descriptions. The article also talks about the advantages of discussion activities, mainly 1) educational discussion, 2) commenting, 3) situational discussions, as well as compositional activities and press conferences. The family not only lays the foundation, but also surrounds the person, living forever and consistently acquiring strong spiritual values, which expands the possibilities for spiritual upbringing and education, the formation of worldviews and enrichment of the inner world. It is here that the student first enters social life, studies his/her values, norms of behavior, way of thinking and language. In other words, the family is a school of education, the transfer of life experience, worldly wisdom. \u0000The main goal of the study is to determine the role and importance of the family in the formation of students as individuals. \u0000Awareness and realization of the needs and possibilities of forming a person’s moral principles in the family is one of the conditions for the comprehensive development of the individual. Roma","doi":"10.15587/2519-4984.2023.275023","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15587/2519-4984.2023.275023","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyzes the results of a study that reveals characteristics of preschool children play activities in the conditions of the war in Ukraine, which were collected in two regions of the country significantly different in the scope of military operations carried out, life activities of the population (in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and territories under Ukrainian control), as well as peculiarities of preschool education itself. The objectives of the research were: to find and highlight changes in the content, types and organizational forms of play activities of preschool children in the conditions of war based on the results of observations by preschool teachers; to identify the level of awareness of preschool teachers regarding play resources as an effective tool for psychosocial support of children in war conditions; to determine the need for preschool teachers to develop their skills in facilitating children's play activities in war conditions for the introduction of appropriate measures in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education; to approve a set of diagnostic tools for further research. The results of the research proved that: 1) the war in Ukraine significantly changed a nature of play activities of preschool children compared to the pre-war period, which is reflected in: the dominance of various plots of military actions in the content of a play, while children play new roles (of a positive nature – military, rescuers, firefighters, volunteers, doctors, construction workers, etc.), conditioned by the new military reality; children's active use of toy weapons and toy substitutes for modern weapons; increased time, spent on computer games, including war-themed games; reduced time, spent on play in general and free play in particular; refusal of children from noisy, active games in favor of quiet, quiet play alone; growing need of children for greater attention of adults during the play; emotional excitement of children, dominance of negative emotions in the play; increased weight of creative activities in children's daily routine, including play. The specified changes are found both in play activities of boys and girls of preschool age; 2) preschool teachers are aware of the importance of play for supporting the child's well-being in wartime conditions. There is much experience in using distance learning technologies by university teachers when working with students, which needs to be rethought. \u0000The purpose of this study was to show how an educational platform, such as the S. Kuznets KNEU Personal Learning Systems, can be used to provide educational services in the face of unpredictable barriers in the current circumstances in Ukraine to substantiate the importance and feasibility of developing and implementing distance learning courses on this platform to increase the efficiency of distance learning. \u0000The study reveals the importance of using distance learning technologies in the educational process. Distance learning offers many advantages, such as geographical diversity, efficiency, continuity, individual approach and personalized program. The article analyzes the experience of using distance learning technologies on the example of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics. The existing difficulties of using distance learning technologies are specified. The algorithm for using the Moodle distance learning system as a tool environment for developing online courses by teachers, distinguished by its functionality, flexibility, reliability and ease of use, is prescribed. \u0000However, Ukraine's education system must catch up with the fundamentals underlying distance learning courses. The purpose of the study is to conduct an analysis of theoretical and methodological foundations of the use of digital technologies in the formation of environmental competence of applicants for education in order to create methodological recommendations for teachers to carry out distance and blended learning. Peculiarities of the use of digital technologies in the formation of environmental competence of applicants for education are analyzed (intensification of learning due to the use of attractive and rapidly changing forms of information presentation, promotion of learning individualization; interrelation of portions of information and tests; strict logical sequence, structural and logical schemes; doing tests and solving tasks; having several attempts, learning the material anew or reperforming tasks). Characteristics of online platforms for use in the process of forming environmental competence of applicants for education according to their features, advantages and disadvantages, including Google Apps Education Edition, Google Classroom, Google Meets, Teams, Moodle, Zoom, Classtools, LearningApps, Edmodo, etc., were studied. Features of the use of modern digital tools and technology for creating electronic materials for the organization of distance learning are considered. A description of the use of video conferencing systems in distance learning is provided, examples of creating video materials for conducting distance classes are described. These surveys raise issues worthy of consideration particularly by institutions that might be interested in using survey data to develop their curriculum and to help their students succeed. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the significant role of student engagement surveys in the development of mechanisms to understand and effectively respond to the needs of first-year students entering university. Drawing from Astin’s involvement theory (1984) and the Inputs-Environments-Outcomes (I-E-O) framework (1991), we argue that a thoughtful and innovative use of student engagement survey data to predict readiness for university has a tremendous potential to improve success through data-informed interventions. The study utilised data on first-time entering students who participated in the Beginning University Survey of Student Engagement (BUSSE). This study used a quantitative research approach. The major findings reveal differences in the frequencies of student-staff interactionand how students’ experiences and expected academic difficulties varied across their gender, social class, and first-generation status. The frequencies of the nine subscales or engagement indicators of the BUSSE provide information regarding high school experiences with quantitative reasoning and learning strategies as well as students’ expectations of a university. Anxiety is considered as a property of the personality, which is manifested in the cognitive aspect, emotional reaction, physical reaction and behavior of the individual. The general purpose of the study was to identify the metacognitive beliefs of adolescents with a high level of personal anxiety and was realized thanks to the implementation of such tasks as: identifying adolescents with a high level of personal anxiety, studying personal attitudes towards symptoms, determining and comparing the metacognitive beliefs of adolescents with different levels of personal anxiety, determining predictive power of metacognitions of young people with a high level of personal anxiety. \u0000 The results of a study of the prevalence of reactive and personal anxiety among adolescents are presented, a comparative analysis of one's own opinion regarding the presence of symptoms and test results of adolescents with a high level of personal anxiety is carried out. A new approach to the study of personal anxiety from the perspective of metacognitive beliefs is proposed, which is built on the principles of cognitive-behavioral psychology. Metacognition is defined as the basis of automatic thoughts, emotional and physical reactions, and the role of metacognitive processes in the interpretation of information about the level of security, the formation of judgments, assessments. The article proves that the metacognitions of adolescents with a high level of personal anxiety deprive them of flexibility in behavior, limiting the variability of life experience. The metacognitive portrait of young people with a high level of personal anxiety is characterized, in particular: the belief that anxiety is a protection against difficult emotions in anticipation of negative events; a positive attitude towards one's own anxious experiences is reinforced by a desire to prevent negative outcomes. The article considers the internal and external factors of formation of the information culture of teachers of military institutions of higher education. The article emphasizes that the information culture of the teacher, as a systematized set of knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure the optimal implementation of individual information activities, aimed at meeting both professional and non-professional needs, is a multilevel system that develops over time. The essence of information needs of teachers in the conditions of military institutions of higher education is considered in the work. Particular attention in this study is focused on the fact that today in Ukraine there is no state concept of information culture. The components of the model of the information culture of a teacher in the conditions of military institutions of higher education are analyzed and considered in detail in the work. The article presents the essence of the concept of pedagogical conditions, which are necessary for designing the learning process in the conditions of military institutions of higher education and which contribute to the development of the information culture of teachers. The basic factors which are necessary for revealing of pedagogical conditions of development of the information culture in the conditions of military establishments of higher education are offered. The main didactic requirements for information technologies of teaching for the formation of the information culture of teachers are considered. The list of criteria for an estimation of a level of formation of the information culture of the teacher in the conditions of military establishments of higher education is offered. The list of organizational and pedagogical conditions in the military institution of higher education, which are necessary for the formation of the information culture of the teacher, is presented. The article presents the key stages of technologies for the formation of the information culture of the teacher. The specifics of the project-reflective approach to the formation of the information culture of teachers and cadets in military institutions of higher education are considered.
