The population included all athlete employees at Tehran Province Gas Company (TPGC) from which 187 were selected with simple random method. The applied instruments were reliable and valid. Data analysis was performed using AMOS-20 software. From the findings, it was deduced that that some modifications were needed by the proposed model and after applying these modifications, the model’s fitness parameters were optimized. According to the data of this research, it can be concluded that one of the mechanisms of the impact of exercise on perceived stress of employees is first, it improves physical perceptions and then, physical perceptions have an influence on perceived stress both directly and through increasing work-family conflict components. Theoretical explanations and future directions are outlined.","PeriodicalId":333187,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychology (IPA)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117163077","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has selected the servant leadership structure as an antecedent variable, the job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior structures as the consequent variables, and the perceived organizational support and leader-member exchange structures as the mediator variables. The research method was descriptive correlational. Therefore, a total of 230 employees from an industrial company were selected through simple random sampling. The research tools included the servant leadership, perceived organizational support, leader-member exchange, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior questionnaires. The data was analyzed through structural equation modeling (SEM) and mediator analysis. The analysis of structural equation modeling supported the proposed model fit with data.The results indicated a direct positive effect of servant leadership on all dependent variables in the model, and a direct positive effect of perceived organizational support on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, and a positive indirect effect of servant leadership on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior through perceived organizational support and leader-member exchange.","PeriodicalId":333187,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychology (IPA)","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127983672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The role of communication in maintaining healthy and prolonged marital relationships is important. One of the internal psychological factors that play a role in marital satisfaction and the relationships of couples is early maladaptive schemas. Hence, this study investigated the effects of early maladaptive schemas and the communication styles of couples in predicting marital satisfaction among married students of Zanjan Azad University. A sample of 93 individuals was selected by convenience sampling method and evaluated by Enrich marital satisfaction scale questionnaire (EMS) (Olson, 1989), Young early maladaptive schemas short-form (YSQ-SF) (Young, 1998), and couple’s communication styles questionnaire (CPQ) (Christensen and Sullaway, 1984). The information obtained from the samples was analysed by SPSS 22 software. Independent T test, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis were also used. The results showed a significant and negative correlation between subjugation schema (r = -0.68), failure schema (r = -0.52), and the total score of early maladaptive schema with marital satisfaction (r = -0.55). There was a significant and positive correlation between the mutual constructivist pattern (r = 0.91), negative and significant correlation between avoidance pattern (r = -0.78), and demand/withdraw pattern with marital satisfaction (r = -0.66). The total score of maladaptive schemas (p","PeriodicalId":333187,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychology (IPA)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126226687","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study is to compare mindfulness, body consciousness and stress in obese and normal-weight people. The population of the study included all obese people who visited diet and weight loss centers in Rasht city and normal-weight people. Two hundred individuals (100 obese and 100 normal-weight people) were selected using convenience sampling method. Research data was collected using mindfulness questionnaire by Baer et al (2006), body consciousness questionnaire by Miller et al (1981), and depression, anxiety, and stress questionnaire by Lovibond & Lovibond (1995), and was analyzed using independent t-test. The results revealed significant difference in mindfulness scores between two groups, that is, obese people have lower mindfulness and more stress than normal-weight people. However, no significant difference was observed between two groups in terms of body consciousness. Increase mindfulness and managing stress, as two influential factors on obese patients, can improve their physical and mental health, and reduce their weight.","PeriodicalId":333187,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychology (IPA)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125282130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The statistical population of this study included all undergraduate female students of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of medical sciences. In a pre-posttest experimental design with control group, 32 female students with the diagnosis of social anxiety disorder were selected by cluster random sampling. Then, all of the subjects were randomly allocated  into two groups: experimental and control groups (16 students each). Research tools used in this study were Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN), Behavioral Activation/Behavioral Inhibition Scales (BIS/BIS) and Anxiety Sensitivity Inventory (ASI-R). Prior to commencement of the intervention, a pretest was performed on each group; then, the experimental group was exposed to transdiagnostic intervention, while the control group received no intervention. At the end of the intervention, a post-test was administrated to each group. The result of covariance analysis showed that the unified transdiagnostic intervention decreased behavioral inhibition and anxiety sensitivity, and increased behavioral activity. With regards to effectiveness of unified transdiagnostic intervention on social anxiety symptoms, utilization of this therapeutic method is suggested to psychologists and advisors.","PeriodicalId":333187,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Psychology (IPA)","volume":"200 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116151789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
