Galvíncio","doi":"10.29150/2237-2202.2022.251975","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29150/2237-2202.2022.251975","url":null,"abstract":"This article aims the analyze NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), NDWI (Normalized Difference Water Index), and NDBI (Normalized Difference Built-up Index) radiometric indices for TM and OLI sensor scenes aboard the LANDSAT satellite. The study area is the Tatu-Bola Wildlife Refuge, created in March 2015 through State Decree number 41,546, and its surroundings. The study aimed to monitor the spatial and temporal evolution of land use and land cover in a period before and after the implementation of the Armadillo-Bola Wildlife Refuge, using indices of vegetation (NDVI), moisture (NDWI), and exposed soil (NDBI) and its relationship with the surroundings. TM and OLI images (orbit and point 217-066) were used on board the LANDSAT satellite 5 (23-05-1987, 15-05-1996, and 01-02-2005) and 8 (28-01-2015 and 17- 03-2021), radiometrically and geometrically corrected and obtained by accessing EarthExplorer, with the calculation of radiance and reflectance being performed, and the indices applied. In order to better identify the area with vegetation and exposed soil, the RGB composition was performed, with NDBI, NDVI, and NDWI indices for Landsat images and fusion of multispectral and panchromatic bands in WPM sensor images from the CBERS-4A satellite from 23- 08-2020 (orbit and point 198-124) and 18-09-2020 (199-124). Digital numbers of cloud and shadow pixels were excluded through supervised classification. Between 1987 and 2021, it was possible to observe a decrease in vegetation cover, especially around the RVS Armadillo-balla, and an increase in area, with NDVI values lower than 0.40. The Refuge area in Petrolina has the largest amount of deforested area. Thus, this study aimed to carry out a morphometric characterization of the Alto of Ipojuca Basin addressing the management and integrated planning of water resources. The present study included the Pernambuco municipalities of Alagoinha, Arcoverde, Belo Jardim, Cachoeirinha, Capoeiras, Pesqueira, Poção, Sanharó, São Bento do Una, Sertânia, Taca imbó and Venturosa, a region corresponding to the Upper Ipojuca region. For morphometric characterization, the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) was used. The delimitation of the hydrographic basin was carr ied out using the hydrological model SWAT 1.9, through the QSWAT interface, coupled with the free QGIS software. The geometric parameters obtained use the drainage area, perimeter, compactness coefficient, form factor, elongation ratio and circularity inde x. The length of the main river, the concentration time, the fluvial hierarchy, the frequency of channels, the drainage density, the hydrographic density, the sinuosity of the main course, the maximum altimetric amplitude of the basin, the mean slope were determined, as well as the roughness index and the relief ratio were also estimated. The basin has an elongated shape, thus favoring flow along the basin and low possibility of flash and sharp floods. In general, the basin has a good trend towards conservation. Holanda","doi":"10.29150/2237-2202.2022.252879","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29150/2237-2202.2022.252879","url":null,"abstract":"The objective was to evaluate the Mata da Pimenteira State Park (Parque Estadual da Mata da Pimenteira - PEMP) in the rainy and dry periods, based on Sentinel-2 satellite images. The study area belongs to the municipality of Serra Talhada, Pernambuco. The sets of remote sensing techniques and satellite orbital images were used in Google Earth Engine to obtain a composition of the rainy and dry periods; then, in the QGIS software version 3.4, the vegetation indices (NDVI and VCI) were determined. With the vegetation indices, it was possible to obtain the descriptive statistics and count the vegetation classes, classified from the r.recode tool, in which the map for the analyses and diagnosis of the study area. The spectral response of NDVI in the Caatinga vegetation averaged near 0.7 in the rainy period and 0.3 in the dry period. The severe level of the vegetation condition index predominates for the dry period and is very mild for the rainy period. The PEMP presents, in the rainy period, 75% of the area as a very light drought class of vegetation cover. On the order hand, the dry period presents 90% of the area in the severe drought condition. Finally, remote sensing indices made it possible to identify the evolution in the vegetation cover of the area, identifying the most critical zones.  Diagnóstico ambiental por índices de vegetação no Parque Estadual Mata da Pimenteira no período chuvoso e seco R E S U M OO objetivo era avaliar o Parque Estadual da Mata da Pimenteira (PEMP) nos períodos de chuva e seca, com base em imagens de satélite Sentinel-2. A área de estudo pertence ao município de Serra Talhada, Pernambuco. Os conjuntos de técnicas de detecção remota e imagens orbitais de satélite foram utilizados no Google Earth Engine para obter uma composição dos períodos chuvoso e seco, em seguida, no software QGIS versão 3.4, foram determinados os índices de vegetação (NDVI e VCI). Com os índices de vegetação, foi possível obter a estatística descritiva e contar as classes de vegetação, classificadas a partir da ferramenta r.recode, na qual o mapa para as análises e diagnóstico da área de estudo foram realizados. A resposta espectral da NDVI na vegetação da Caatinga foi em média perto de 0,7 no período chuvoso e 0,3 no período seco. O nível severo do índice do estado da vegetação predomina para o período seco e é muito suave para o período chuvoso. O PEMP apresenta, no período chuvoso, 75% da área como uma classe de cobertura vegetal muito ligeira no período de seca. Na ordem, o período seco apresenta 90% da área no estado de seca severa.
