This can be a challenge for the Indonesian people to choose between maintaining or eliminating the existing environmental culture. Therefore, an approach is needed, namely ethnoscience in the learning process. This study aims to describe the ethnoscience of Sedekah Bumi in Bangsri Jepara Village in elementary science material. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenology research design. The subject of this research was village heads and village officials. The data was obtained by observation, interview, and documentation. Data validation was conducted through triangulation. Based on the research results, it is known that ethnoscience learning can be integrated into elementary science learning, as evidenced in every series of almsgiving activities in Bangsri Jepara Village, including <em>ingkang damar murup</em>, colossal dance, shadow puppets, buffalo slaughter, and the <em>penjor </em> festival. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that science content is integrated into grade III, IV, and V SD materials. Grade III material that is integrated with the alms of the earth is a change in the form of objects and the benefits of plants for humans. Grade IV material is the style of motion, the relationship between form and function of animal and plant body parts, and light. Grade V materials are heat transfer, human organs, and the classification of animals based on the type of food they eat. Then, in addition to SD material, namely the emulsion in coconut milk and nutrients in the soil in plants. Delhi classrooms are mirror of this diversity. The researcher being in the capacity of teacher educators got regular feedback from trainee teachers regarding the classroom environment of secondary schools of Delhi. During those feedback sessions and submitted reports on reflections, there were frequent entries on cultural alienation and cultural clashes. These entries forced the researcher to study the status of cultural sensitivity in secondary classrooms of Delhi. The study endeavours to put forward the perceptions of students regarding their own cultural identity, their peers’ cultural identity and shared experiences of any cultural alienation, bullying or clash in their classrooms. The study also put into light, students’ expectations from their teachers in creating culturally sensitive classrooms. It was a descriptive study. Expost-facto survey design was chosen for the study-sensitive classrooms. The sample consists of 445 students in 12(5 public and 7 private) schools of Delhi. The self-prepared questionnaire for students called The Cultural Sensitivity Questionnaire for Students (CSQS) with CVR 0.68 was used as the tool. The study concluded that, cultural alienation, bullying and clashes come out to be the result of ignorance towards each other’s culture.","PeriodicalId":33194,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Educative Journal of Educational Studies","volume":"52 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87631497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study involved students from the Agriculture Faculty of the Riau State Islamic University. This is a quantitative research that employs a survey design. The examination of the data reveals that students had a good assessment of teachers who were either native or non-native speakers. On the other hand, students encountered difficulties when learning with native and non-native professors. Students believe that NEST and NNEST will be more effective if native speakers also study and understand their original language and culture. Instructors who are not natural English speakers should pursue additional education in countries where English is the primary language to hone their abilities. The ideal non-native teachers are those who have reached a level of English proficiency comparable to that of a native speaker. Assuming the talents of the non-native English instructor are optimal, the majority of students believe that as long as instructors display a high level of competence and professionalism, there should be no discrimination between native speakers and non-native English teachers. However, when properly prepared and competent, both native and non-native English teachers can increase the enthusiasm for the student's English skill development. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, and they should collaborate to aid students in becoming successful English learners.","PeriodicalId":33194,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Educative Journal of Educational Studies","volume":"32 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86181557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The demoralization and dehumanization that occurs in student life is attributed, among other things, to lack of honesty, distrust, lack of sense of responsibility, lack of discipline, and lack of self-integrity. This study aims to describe the PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam - Islamic Education) learning process in the PPKn (Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan - Pancasila and Civics Education) Study Program at the Bung Hatta University. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. The research subjects are PAI lecturers, Kebunghataan (Bung Hatta inspired ideals) lecturers and all of the students in the PPKn study program. Techniques of data collection used include observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the PAI learning process in the PPKn Study Program at Bung Hatta University was carried out by referring to the curriculum that applies at Bung Hatta University and the study program. In writing, it has not been integrated with the idea of Kebunghataan. The implications of the above is that students who graduate from this program embody the qualities of Bung Hatta University’s ideals, namely, politeness, honesty, thrifty, and dignity.","PeriodicalId":33194,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Educative Journal of Educational Studies","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73610342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of digital technology has encouraged students to improve their academic performance or learning achievements. Several problems, however, can arise, from the gap in the ability of students to master digital technology, the ability to provide technological infrastructure, the competence of top-level management and the ability of the IT department to determine the success of digitalization. One learning model that can be utilized in physical distancing policy is Web-Based Learning (WBL). WBL is a learning model that can be used without limitation of time, space, and learning resources. WBL was developed by using the Research and Development (RnD) with a 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) approach. To develop WBL products, we used the unified modeling language (UML), flowcharts, and context diagrams. The product was tested which included product validity testing, practicality testing, and product effectiveness testing. The testing results showed that the product was valid, practical, and effective to be used as a guide for developing and implementing WBL in order to improve students' academic performance.","PeriodicalId":33194,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Educative Journal of Educational Studies","volume":"96 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86289454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Their hands always move to write, color and draw. Based on the field observation, it is concluded that good motoric skills for children aged 5-6 years are still in the early creative classification. Thus, it is important to provide activities to strengthen the ability of the child's motor system with drawing exercises. The function of the children's drawing activity is to see whether drawing exercises affect the fine motoric performance of children aged 5-6 years. This research was conducted at the Bintang Cendekia Kindergarten in Pekanbaru. The technique used in exploration is a quantitative expressive examination via mathematical information. Given the information obtained from the results of this examination, it is found that the drawing exercises produce significant influence on the performance of the young children between pre-treatment and after-treatment phases. The results obtained from this study are that drawing exercises when carried out with confidence and the subsequent development of a creative and innovative imagination greatly impacts fine motor skills. These results can be seen from similar tests in the combined test sample table which shows alpha tally = 0.000 and alpha test = 0.05, such that alpha tally <alpha test.","PeriodicalId":33194,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Educative Journal of Educational Studies","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79715976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The National Examination in Indonesia has been abolished since 2020. Hence, the Indonesian Junior High School (SMP) makes its final examination items for the 9th-grade, and from the results, the school determines success in the course. The final examination has an important role and significant value in making decisions about students' graduation. Therefore, this study is aimed to analyze the Online Final Examination items in one of the public junior high schools in Bandung. The sample was 234 students in grade 9 using their mathematics examination tests, comprising 20 multiple-choice items with 4 options (A-D), while the data processing used Winsteps software with the Rasch modeling technique. Subsequently, the Rasch model results showed an acceptable people separation statistic of 1.54 and poor person reliability at 0.7<0.8. The item separation statistics was in a good category at 2.21, while the reliability at 0.83 was excellent. Although 4 online final examination items were in the fit category, 16 were good and capable of dividing students according to their abilities. They also provided very detailed data about the quality of the items and the ability of each grade 9 student. Since each test item is included in the fit category, this study contributes information on preparing and analyzing the Online Final Examination to teachers.","PeriodicalId":33194,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Educative Journal of Educational Studies","volume":"40 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85997871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
