However, since WMSN is heterogeneous and the energy distribution is not uniform, many existing routing protocols do not take energy consumption into account while ensuring QoS. Therefore, how to make energy distributed more efficiently while ensuring QoS has become a challenge. This paper proposes an energy-efficient distributed adaptive cooperative routing to guarantee QoS and balance energy consumption in WMSN. By adaptively selecting some nodes for reinforcement learning to acquire their performance knowledge of reliability and delay, an optimal alternative path can be created to ensure both the QoS and balanced energy distribution. The simulation results show that the energy consumption is reduced by 20% while ensuring QoS compared with the traditional cooperative protocol and the distributed adaptive cooperative routing protocol.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129248659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a powerful data reduction and data representation technique having its linear and non-linear counterparts. It is a statistical technique used to transform high dimensional data into low dimensional representation without losing much of the information. PCA is a widely-used algorithm in the field of pattern recognition, face recognition, image fusion, data compression, and machine vision. Over the period, many PCA based algorithms have been proposed to effectively extract important features from images and to reconstruct images using minimum feature set. In this paper, we compared four widely used PCA based algorithms in terms of their capability of representing images using reduced feature set.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129820392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the complexity of large-scale network topology and dynamic of mobile nodes, vehicular communication is difficult to be established in an ultra-reliable and low-latency way. Existing efforts of vehicular communications mainly focused on historical trajectories and perform experiments on simulated road networks with free moving vehicles, or just analyze a limited scope of traffic pattern over public vehicles. However, previous studies ignored the traffic pattern of urban private vehicles, leading to a narrow perception for data transmission. To make up for this blind spot, we propose a data-driven method for vehicular communications by analyzing the traffic pattern of urban vehicles. We model the urban vehicles traffic pattern by deep neural networks and clustering technique is applied to enhance the ability of collecting data for vehicles. Additionally, to deal with the unbalanced traffic load in road networks, we devise a novel method to detect the appropriate location for deploying auxiliary WiFi-spots to help data transmission in low traffic load area. Therefore, our solution enables the data packets to be transmitted in an optimal way thus comprehensive and valuable information is collected for guiding the transmission. Our proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art vehicular communication methods in terms of diffusion speed and range in urban vehicular networks.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124486643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most important and meaningful nature of traffic characteristics, causation analysis, and associations between different causal factors have been ignored. Moreover, the traffic accident data is only used to conduct a rudimentary statistical analysis and data mining efforts which results only in patterns and statistics. The main targets of this road accident data classification are to identify the major and key factors that cause the road traffic accident and form policies and preventive actions that would reduce the accident severity level. Machine learning algorithms are used to analyze the data, extract hidden patterns, predict the severity level of the accidents and summarize the information in a useful format. In this work, we have applied different machine learning classification algorithms and discussed here the six algorithms with high accuracy and best classification performances such as Fuzzy-FARCHD, Random Forest, Hierarchal LVQ, RBF Network (Radial Basis Function Network), Multilayer Perceptron, and Naïve Bayes on road traffic accident data set obtained from UK road traffic accident of the year 2016. The data set contains information on all road accident casualties across Calderdale. The results from our analysis show that Fuzzy-FARCHD algorithm is effective to classify the dataset and achieves an accuracy of 85.94%. In this work, we have revealed that Lighting Conditions, 1st Road Class & No., Number of vehicles are the key features in selecting the attributes.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124498665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The IoT devices constantly forward a large amount of data towards sink nodes which requires extensive routing. Thus, routing is an important aspect of the IoT. This paper presents a performance analysis of two well-known routing protocols: (a) Destination Sequenced Distance Vector routing (DSDV), and (b) Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector routing (AODV) in the Vehicular Ad hoc network (VANET) based IoT environment. Here, we propose a new scenario in which Constant Bit Rate (CBR) sources increases incrementally and reaches half out of the total nodes whereas the other nodes which are kept stationary decreases exponentially. The total number of nodes in the topology remains constant. The CBR source nodes move with variable speed to different waypoints as destinations at different times. The performance of above- mentioned protocols has been analyzed in our new proposed scenario, keeping in view the TCP Reno and UDP. The comparison among these two routing protocols has been done on the basis of delay, jitter, packet dropped ratio, throughput transferred and generated throughput.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121382901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose a joint AF beamforming and artificial noise (AB-AN) covariance matrix design with PS strategy to maximize the secrecy rate under harvesting energy constraints at the relay We assume that there is a PS device which splits the received signal power at relay for harvesting energy and receiving information. Since such a problem is nonconvex and hard to tackle, we propose a two-level optimization approach via the one-Dimension search and the semidefinite relaxation (SDR) technique. The proposed scheme is compared with AB scheme. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the AB scheme.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115586965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the characteristics of water medium, acoustic communication is regard as the best choice for UWSNs. However, some marine mammals also communicate bu using acoustic signal and the frequencies of the natural acoustic systems are heavily overlapped with the frequencies used by underwater acoustic networks (UAN). As an improvement of our previous work VMOPR (a virtual void-based marine organism protection routing protocol), in this paper, we propose an environment friendly protection routing protocol with channel allocation for UWSNs aming to avoid the harmful interference with marine mammals. Considering the restriction of noise and practical link capacity, a channel allocation algorithm is designed to achieve the maximum utilization of limited frequencies. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the counterparts EEIAR and VBF protocol in terms of throughput and energy efficiency when taking marine mammals and transmission constraints into account.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127228681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper also proposes a wireless business optimization algorithm that enables the CDN edge server to help the core network to divert pressure of user's access best. Firstly, a probability model of the daily volume of access is defined, based on video's score and video's online time. Further, a function relationship between the parameter of the model and the joint conditions above is established to accurately reflect the average value of the daily volume of access. On this basis, the predicted value of the daily volume of access to any video under a certain guarantee probability is obtained. Then, an optimization model for distribution and download of videos is built for the edge server of CDN with limited storage space. A distribution and download scheme of videos based on 0–1 knapsack algorithm is proposed. The simulation results verify the correctness of the model of volume of access and the effectiveness of the optimization algorithm.","PeriodicalId":330766,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 11th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125388540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
