The equation of motion of the nth orbit of revolution is derived, revealing\u0000that an excited particle revolves in an unclosed elliptic orbit, with emission of radiation at the frequency of revolution, before\u0000settling down, after many cycles of ψ, in a stable circular orbit. In unipolar revolution, a radiating particle settles in a circular\u0000orbit of radius nr1 round a positively charged nucleus. In bipolar revolution, two radiating particles of the same mass nm and\u0000charges e and –e, settle in a circular stable orbit of radius ns1 round a common center of mass, where s1 is the radius of the first\u0000orbit. Discrete masses nm and angular momenta nL lead to quantization of the orbits outside Bohr’s quantum mechanics. The\u0000frequency of radiation in the bipolar revolution is found to be in conformity with the Balmer-Rydberg formula for the spectral\u0000lines of radiation from the atom hydrogen gas. There is a spread in frequency of emitted radiation, the frequency in the final\u0000circle being the highest, which might explain hydrogen fine structure, as observed with a diffraction grating of high resolution.\u0000The unipolar revolution is identified with the solid or liquid state of hydrogen and bipolar revolution with the gas state.

The nuclear model consists of N coplanar orbits\u0000each with a particle having the electronic charge -e and a multiple nm of the electronic mass m, revolving in the nth orbit round\u0000a heavy nucleus of charge +Ne and mass N(N + 1)m/2, where n = 1, 2, 3…..N. The non-nuclear model consists of N orbits each\u0000with two particles of the same mass nm but opposite charges +e and -e, revolving in the nth orbit round a common center of\u0000mass. In the stable state a particle revolves with constant angular momentum nL, in a circle of radius nr1 at speed v1/n, where\u0000r1 is the radius, v1 the speed and L the angular momentum in the first orbit. If a particle is dislodged from the circular orbit, it\u0000revolves in an unclosed elliptic orbit, with emission of radiation at the frequency of revolution, in many cycles, before reverting\u0000into the circular orbit. The radiation frequency is nearly equal to that of revolution in the circular orbit. It is shown that the wave\u0000numbers of radiation from the non-nuclear model are in conformity with the Balmer-Rydberg formula for the lines in the emission\u0000spectra of hydrogen gas. Radiation is shown to be due a charged particle having a component of its velocity in the direction of\u0000an electric field, as in an elliptic orbit. A charged particle moving perpendicular to an electric field, as in Rutherford’s nuclear\u0000model, does not radiate and there is no need for Bohr’s quantum mechanics to stabilize the atom. The non-nuclear model is\u0000identified with the atom of hydrogen gas and the nuclear model with the liquid or solid state.

Recent investigations have demonstrated the physics of gyroscopic effects is more complex. On any spinning objects\u0000are acting the system of interrelated internal torques generated by their rotating mass elements and center mass. The inertial\u0000torque is produced by the centrifugal, common inertial and Coriolis forces, as well as the change in the angular momentum.\u0000These inertial torqueses represent the fundamental principle of gyroscope theory. The new inertial torques enables deriving\u0000mathematical models for the motions of any rotating objects that were impossible for a long time. The aim of this work is to\u0000represent mathematical models for the motions of the well-balanced top on the flat horizontal surface.
