This is due to its properties which are similar to cocoa butter so it is widely used as Cocoa Butter Substitutes (CBS) on various cocoa fat products, one of which is lipstick. Manufacturing and analysis of the performance of tengkawang fat-based lipstick has been done. However, to ensure a cosmetic product is safe to use, it is necessary to use safety and irritation tests. This study aims to analyze the safety level of the tengkawang fat-based lipstick through an organoleptic test, microbial contamination, and simple irritation test. There are four lipstick formulations used in this activity, the two best formulations (m3 and m5) from the previous year's research, two modification formulas of the previous formula (m3i and m5i) and commercial lipstick as a comparison (control). Organoleptic tests will be carried out on four types of lipstick formulas which include texture, gloss, odor, color and spreadability of the lipstick. This test uses a scoring system. panelists for the organoleptic test were 34 people with an age range of 17-45 years. Another analysis is the microbial contamination and simple irritation tests following the procedures of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 16-4769-1998 concerning lipstick. The microbial contamination test was carried out in two stages, the first for fresh lipstick (finished production) and the second for lipstick that had been stored for four months. A simple irritation test analysis was carried out by applying lipstick to the mice's skin. The results showed that from an organoleptic point of view, the lipstick with the formula m5 was the most preferred by the panelists. In terms of safety for use, the microbial contamination test showed no presence of microbes in the lipstick preparation. One of the bees that is often bred is Apis mellifera (A. mellifera). Consumer considerations in choosing honey are largely determined by the quality and their preferences for the honey. This paper evaluates: 1) the quality of honey from A. mellifera and A. dorsata bees according to the standard of SNI 8664-2018, 2) the comparison of consumer preferences for the two types of honey. Honey samples were taken from harvesters in Sungai Rawa Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, and packaged in sealed bottles. The honey quality testing method is guided by SNI 8664-2018. The comparison of consumer preferences was carried out using the hedonic method using 50 panelists. The comparison of the quality of each type of honey in accordance to the SNI was descriptively analyzed. Consumer preferences were compared using a two-sample t-test. The results showed that only ash content and water-insoluble solids in A. mellifera honey met the requirements of SNI 8664-2018. Meanwhile, acidity, ash content, and water-insoluble solids of A. dorsata honey met the quality requirements of the standard. Consumer preference was higher for A. mellifera honey for color and viscosity, but for aroma, A.dorsata honey had a higher preference. The effect of contact times between the feed and catalyst was studied by experimenting with WHSV in the range of 6 h-1 to 25 h-1, and the effect of catalytic reaction temperatures was observed at 490 °C, 510 °C, and 530 °C. The results show that yields of gasoline fraction tend to decrease with the decrease of WHSV, due to “over-cracking” of gasoline fraction into gaseous products. A four-lump kinetic model consisting of gasoline fraction, gaseous products, and coke was applied to derive sets of reaction rate equations. Farmers often use synthetic fungicides to control the disease, while the continuous use of synthetic fungicides can cause negative impact to environment. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of plant disease control by using coconut shell liquid smoke. Inluded rejuvenation of isolates, characterization of tested isolates, and liquid smoke antifungal tests using the well diffusion method, and data analysis. Five formula concentrations were applied namely 0% (negative control), 10%, 20%, and 30% concentration, and antracol as positive control. The measurement of inhibition (mm) was carried out after 7 days of incubation. The selected filtration mechanism is a multi-stage filtration system. The filter material used is lontar shell activated charcoal, coconut fiber, sand, and zeolite. The purpose of this study is to test the performance of the tool (effectiveness and efficiency) filled with the four materials above. The implementation stages of this research are divided into two, namely fabricating the BorazSiLab Filter tool and testing the reliability of tool. To facilitate tool fabrication, it is necessary to design tools in the form of working drawings of 2D shapes and 3D geometry so that they are easy to understand. The reliability test was carried out on the dimensions of the filter box, the surface area and volume of the material, the filtration discharge, and the water quality (pH, temperature, odor, and colors). The results showed that the tool was made of a glass box measuring 20×20×20 cm. The filtration time is fixed at 45 minutes. The measured filtration efficiency and effectiveness of the filter material surface area, filter media volume, filtration discharge before (Qin) and after (Qout) filtration are 0,0022 m2 (one tea bag) to 0,0044 m2 (two tea bag); 3,3×105 m3 (one tea bag) to 5,81×105 m3 (two tea bag); 1,1423 L/s; and 0,00046 L/s. Preliminary tests for water quality before and after for the parameters of odor, pH, and temperature values, respectively, are odor to odorless; colored to colorless pH = 7; temperature = 26,1 ± 3 °C to 27,9 ± 3 °C. Pierre) menyisakan limbah kulit buah yang belum dimanfaatkan. Salah satu pemanfaatan kulit buah malapari adalah bahan baku karbon aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah kulit buah malapari sebagai bahan baku arang aktif yang menggunakan cara kimia dan fisika. Kondisi optimum pembuatan arang aktif dihasilkan dari bahan baku yang dikarbonisasi pada suhu 400°C, diaktivasi dengan asam fosfat 2% dan pemanasan pada suhu 750°C sambil dialiri uap air selama 60 menit. Proses tersebut merupakan kondisi optimum yang menghasilkan rendemen arang aktif sebesar 54%, kadar air 8,6%, zat terbang 11,85%, abu 24,73%, karbon terikat 63,42%, daya jerap benzena 10,15%, daya jerap biru metilena 93,89 mg/g, dan daya jerap iod 648,62 mg/g serta luas permukaan spesifik 348,11 m2/g. Pemanfaatan limbah batang kenaf dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku berbagai produk, salah satunya adalah untuk bahan baku pembuatan arang aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu dan bahan kimia aktivasi terhadap sifat-sifat arang aktif dan daya jerap polutan. Bahan baku berupa arang hidro direndam dengan bahan kimia H3PO4 dan K2CO3 selama 24 jam, kemudian diaktivasi fisik pada suhu 600°C, 700°C, dan 800°C. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua arang aktif memenuhi syarat mutu arang aktif teknis yang ditetapkan standar SNI 06-3730-1995 untuk parameter kadar air dan kadar zat terbang, namun hanya sebagian arang aktif yang dapat memenuhi syarat untuk kadar abu, karbon terikat dan daya jerap yodium. Daya jerap arang aktif terhadap formaldehida, amonia, kloroform dan benzena cenderung meningkat seiring meningkatnya suhu aktivasi. Besarnya kekuatan tekan dan tarik bambu sudah dimanfaatkan dalam desain konstruksi, namun masih terbatas, seperti untuk kolom atau penguat beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan sifat mekanis bambu betung (Dendrocalamus asper Backer ex K.Heyne,) umur empat tahun, yaitu kekuatan tekan sejajar serat, tarik sejajar serat, dan tarik tegak lurus serat, serta nilai 5% batas bawah. Ukuran contoh uji dan pengujian sifat mekanis bambu betung mengacu pada ISO 22157-2019. Pengujian tekan sejajar serat dan tarik tegak lurus serat menggunakan UTM SATEC/Baldwin, sedangkan pengujian tarik sejajar serat menggunakan UTM Chun Yen. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi Easyfit 5,5 untuk mendapatkan nilai 5% batas bawah tiap pengujian. Rata-rata kuat tekan sejajar serat yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 52,97 N/mm², sedangkan nilai rata-rata kuat tarik sejajar serat sebesar 109,03 N/mm². Rata-rata kuat tarik tegak lurus serat dengan ukuran lubang uji 25 dan 40 mm sebesar 2,53 dan 1,19 N/mm², sedangkan nilai rata-rata MOE tekan dan MOE tarik sejajar serat sebesar 2.674 dan 9.542 N/mm². Nilai 5% batas bawah untuk kuat tekan sejajar serat sebesar 38,10 N/mm², tarik sejajar serat sebesar 61,78 N/mm², sedangkan untuk kuat tarik tegak lurus serat sebesar 0,60 N/mm². Agar kayu ini dapat dimanfaatkan lebih berdaya-guna, maka rekayasa pembuatan glued-laminated timber (glulam) dapat diaplikasikan, sehingga diperoleh batang kayu berukuran lebih besar dan ketahanannya terhadap serangan organisme perusak kayu dapat ditingkatkan. Saat ini, jenis kayu hutan tanaman yang telah dipelajari untuk dibuat menjadi adalah jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba), karet (Hevea brasiliensis), mahoni (Swietenia sp.), mangium (Acacia mangium), manii (Maesopsis eminii), mindi (Melia azedarach), pinus (Pinus merkusii), sengon (Falcataria moluccana), dan sungkai (Peronema canescens), sedangkan kayu dari hutan alam untuk kombinasinya yaitu kayu kempas (Koompassia malaccensis) dan merbau (Instia sp.). Sementara perekat yang digunakan dalam pembuatan glulam yaitu perekat nabati tanin mangium, tanin mahoni, dan tanin merbau, serta perekat sintetis yaitu isosianat dan phenol resorcinol formaldehyde (PRF). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa glulam yang dibuat dengan perekat berbasis tanin mempunyai sifat fisis dan mekanis sebanding dengan kayu solidnya maupun dengan menggunakan perekat PRF. Demikian pula sifat fisis-mekanis glulam dengan perekat isosianat tidak berbeda dengan kayu solidnya, kecuali keteguhan geser glulam lebih rendah dari kayu solidnya, selain itu glulam tersebut tahan terhadap delaminasi baik pada perendaman air dingin maupun air mendidih, serta berhasil memenuhi standar JAS 1152-2007. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik fisis dan mekanis papan partikel dari campuran serbuk gergajian kayu sengon dan kulit buah kopi menggunakan perekat dekstrin dari pati tepung onggok. Pembuatan dekstrin dilakukan dengan cara menyemprotkan asam klorida (HCl) dengan konsentrasi 5% sebanyak 5 mL terhadap 80 g pati tepung onggok, kemudian dioven pada suhu 130°C selama 3 jam. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pembuatan papan partikel dengan target kerapatan 0,6 g/cm3. Untuk mengetahui komposisi campuran bahan yang optimal, papan partikel dibuat dengan empat komposisi bahan campuran antara serbuk gergajian kayu sengon dengan kulit buah kopi dengan perbandingan berat: 100%:0%, 75%:25%, 50%:50% dan 25%:75%. Perekat dekstrin yang digunakan dalam pembuatan papan partikel sebanyak 20% dari berat kering tanur partikel dan dilakukan pengempaan pada suhu 185°C serta tekanan 20 kg/cm2 selama 10 menit. Hasil pengujian sifat fisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai kerapatan 0,49-0,64 g/cm3, kadar air 7,89-9,01%, daya serap air 92,41-167,65% dan pengembangan tebal 11,91-59,90%. Papan partikel dengan komposisi campuran serbuk gergajian kayu sengon dan kulit buah kopi sebanyak 25%:75% telah memenuhi standar pengujian sifat fisis, meliputi: kerapatan, kadar air dan pengembangan tebal, sedangkan nilai daya serap air tidak dipersyaratkan di dalam Standar JIS A 5908: 2003. Hasil pengujian sifat mekanis menunjukkan bahwa nilai internal bond 0,02-0,03 N/mm2 dan nilai kuat tarik pegang sekrup 46,4-144 N.
