This study aims to describe the EFL teachers’ perception towards classroom interaction during Covid-19 pandemic especially on how the interaction between teacher-student, student-teacher, and student-student synchronously which is assisted by Google Meet. The research method used in this study is descriptive case study and taking data by conducting observation, interview, and documentation. Practice teachers should adapt online learning to convey teaching and learning activities. This study aimed at finding out the internet device (wi-fi) available at schools in Pekanbaru municipality and learning media used by practicum teachers with the stable internet connectivity at schools in Pekanbaru municipality. There were 47 out of 51 English Education Students of Universitas Lancang Kuning involved in this research. They filled in 27 items of close-ended questions in the Likert scale. The findings revealed that most schools (83%) had wi-fi devices accessed by practicum teachers for teaching activities. With this device, practice teachers used more diverse applications (Google Classroom, Google Form, and Zoom video conference) more frequently (often), shown in the mean score of 4.0, to convey learning materials and tasks delivery. In schools with unstable internet connectivity, they chose the Whattsapp application to convey learning activities, including the delivery of the tasks. In conclusion, the availability of a wi-fi device with stable internet connectivity supports practice teachers in conducting online teaching activities during the pandemic. It involved 25 students of a state junior high school in Indonesia and the participants were the eighth grade students. Observation and questionnaire were used to collect the data. Many researchers had been exploring students’ perceptions of native and non-native English teachers worldwide in formal education institutions. This study aimed to explore students’ perceptions of native and non-native English teachers in a non-formal education institution. This was a qualitative study based on a descriptive approach conducted using three instruments: close-ended questionnaire, semi-structured interview, and documentation. The study revealed that native and non-native English teachers had their own specific roles in the Indonesian context. Students needed native more than non-native teachers because the latter were bilingual having the same mother tongue as them, and they enabled a successful learning process because of the effective learning strategies they shared. Collaborative writing is one of method that used in writing learning practice. Studies about collaborative writing reveal that online collaborative writing is effective to promote students’ writing quality. There are many previous studies have explored the students’ perception, effectiveness, and benefits of collaborative writing. However, the study about students’ emotional engagement in collaborative writing is limited. This study aims to explore students’ emotional engagement during online collaborative writing through Google Docs. The exploration of students’ emotional engagement is beneficial to understand students’ feelings and emotions during the learning process. Classroom Action Research is used as the research design of the study. Participant of the research is four eleven grade high school students. The research was conducted at the SMA Negeri 1 Cikarang Barat in three weeks. Semi-structured interview and documentation were used for collecting the data. The result of the study showed that online collaborative writing through Google Docs involves students to learn writing enthusiastically. The subjects are the second and fourth semester students of English department, Language and Culture Faculty, UNTAG Semarang. The research was held during the even semester of the academic year 2020/2021. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data was based on the interview and the questionnaires filled by the students. Some technical issues came up in the online class such as internet connection which mostly became the hottest issue and also the device being used which was sometimes not compatible to the program used in the teaching and learning process. Those issues somehow have affected the online teaching and learning process. The other issues affected in online learning are students’ contribution and students’ condition. For those, it is hoped that the research will give a clearer explanation especially for the teachers who are struggling on teaching the online class and face a similar situation. This study used qualitative research and it was conducted from September until January in 12 meetings of distance learning using online applications. The questionnaires were given to 42 first-semester students of social faculty of IKIP PGRI Jember. The result showed that almost all students had good preparation before joining English online learning. However, students faced some main problem during online learning: unstable internet connection, losing their concentration starring at the screen of hand-phone or computer, and spending more money to buy internet quota. Besides, educational values can create good characters of human beings. This study aims : 1) to find out educational values in English Islamic song lyrics of Sami Yusuf album and 2) to analyze educational values in English Islamic song lyrics of Sami Yusuf album. This research is a content analysis study that includes descriptive analysis. The data collecting techniques used by researchers were observation and documentation. The result shows the educational values that are found in Sami Yusuf’s song lyrics deal with honesty, courage, peace, self-reliance & potential, self-discipline & moderation, loyalty & dependability, respect, love, sensitive & unselfishness, kindness & friendliness, and justice & mercy. The highest educational value that is found is honesty which is 19%, while the least are peace, respect, and love that are only found once with a percentage of 3% each of them. Therefore, it is recommended for English teacher to use English Islamic song lyrics in Sami Yusuf album as a medium in teaching and learning. The qualitative method is chosen to see the researcher's question responses, the observation in the classroom, and some questions toward the educators. As the findings implied, the two teachers required prompting, changing cognitive demand levels, and providing additional information in display type more dominant than others questions strategies and effective communication. The teacher at the private school repeated the questions and translated them into Indonesia or mixed the questions to relieve the learners' understanding about inquiries and responses effectively. Nevertheless, the totality of English was engaged by the teacher at the state school. The students were easier to understand simpler after the teacher explores many questions and applied much longer time toward the wait time method. The study presented the helpful results of the questions used when the teachers operated in the teaching and learning process and upgraded learners' responses in participating in the learning process.
