There is a paucity of documented studies concerning the factors predisposing to these ADRs in the English medical literature. Objective: To evaluate the role played by socio-demographic factors in predisposition to ADRs in patients on cancer chemotherapy. Material and Methods: In this prospective and observational study, outcome of relationship between socio-demographic factors and ADRs occurring in patients receiving cancer chemotherapy in a regional oncology center in Jammu and Kashmir, India over a period of one year was studied. Results: Overall, 90% of the 102 cancer patients expressed ADRs to chemotherapy. As many as 268 ADRs were reported in the study participants. The most common adverse effects were alopecia, nausea, constipation and vomiting. The mean age of the participants was 46.84 ± 15.18 years. Abstract Squamous cell carcinoma constitutes approximately 95% of penile cancer. Sarcomas of penis are rarer among them. Leiomyosarcoma is one of the extremely rare sarcoma of penis. To best of our knowledge and literature review, only few cases have been reported world-wide so far. We are presenting this uncommon case of recurrent leiomyosarcoma of penis in a 37 year male patient which was diagnosed with microscopy with its characteristic immunohistochemistry along with a concise review.","PeriodicalId":325896,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Cancer Therapy and Research","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134646808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Primary CNS neoplasm’s are a challenging group of tumors to treat given their varied patterns of behavior and subsequent varied clinical outcomes. This chapter will focus on the treatment of both adult low-grade gliomas (LGGs) and adult high-grade gliomas (HGGs), with an emphasis on radiation therapy techniques, Signs and symptoms of intracranial tumors depends upon types and histology as well as grade of tumors, Some tumors causes problems by their intracranial extension only for example Glioms, Menangiomas, Pituitary tumors other brain tumors like Primary CNS Lymphomas, Germ cell tumors as well as Primitive Neuroendocrine tumors (PNET ) have strong prediction of leptomeningeal spread, among all primary brain tumor Gioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common primary brain tumor and one of the most lethal in nature due to its infiltrative nature because of this GBM overall survival with surgical resection alone is 3 to 6 month only but if we add adjuvant radiotherapy after surgery its overall survival extends up to 1 year furthermore if we add alkalizing agents chemotherapy its overall survival goes up to 1.5 years.","PeriodicalId":325896,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Cancer Therapy and Research","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123170542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Day by day the rate of this disease is increasing because of the risk factors related to lifestyle. Chemotherapy is a common treatment for breast cancer patients. Chemotherapy treatment depends on stage of cancer, patient’s age, menopausal stage, hormone receptor status and lymph node involvement as a patient has the chance to face some complications to take this treatment. In this treatment, drugs are used to treat cancerous cells. And because of these anticancer drugs patients experience many complications. Though there have some complication patient should be aware about those before going to take breast cancer chemotherapy treatment which will help them to follow proper diagnosis and treatment guidelines.","PeriodicalId":325896,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Cancer Therapy and Research","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132592009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A subset of mucosal-infective HPVs, also known as ‘high risk’ (HR) HPVs, causes cervical disease and could be classified as low or high grade. The HR-HPVs related infection can affect at any stage of life, or several individuals may experience during their lifetime. Our robust immune system plays a crucial role in recognizing and clearing the virus, but sometimes we need potent therapy to eliminate or prevent it. This review deals with the prevention of HPV from attacking host cells, and the methods may include vaccination or acute treatment. The short overview also enlightens the pathogenesis, mode of infection, and evidence-based prevention strategies of the HPV and associated cancer.","PeriodicalId":325896,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Cancer Therapy and Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130743054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, its adverse effect on the human heart is of major concern and limits its full clinical utilization. The present study was undertaken to alleviate the doxorubicin-induced myocardial toxicity by oltipraz an Nrf-2 inducer in albino rats. The albino rats were orally administered with 10 mg/kg body weight of oltipraz daily for three days before treatment with 15 mg/kg body weight of doxorubicin. The doxorubicin-induced myocardial stress indicated by an increase in the CK-MB activity, and lipid peroxidation accompanied by a reduction in the glutathione, glutathione-s-transferase, catalase and superoxide dismutase in the rat heart. The administration of 10 mg/kg oltipraz for three days before doxorubicin treatment reduced the CK-MB activity and lipid peroxidation significantly followed by the significant elevation in the activities of glutathione-s-transferase, catalase and superoxide dismutase and glutathione in the rat heart. Our study demonstrates that oltipraz an Nrf-2 inducer reduced doxorubicin-induced myocardial stress in the rats.","PeriodicalId":325896,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Cancer Therapy and Research","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130409592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These women have a large magnitude of symptom burden right from diagnosis until completion of treatment and beyond. While oncological treatment modalities remain predominantly disease-centric, palliative care (PC) plays a multidimensional role involving communication, management of physical, psychological, social, spiritual issues and end-of-life care. In order to improve the patient’s satisfaction, treatment compliance and quality of life, PC must be commenced early and integrated within the framework of multi-modality management of carcinoma cervix. Patients with advanced cervical cancer who become terminally ill require intensification of PC and a gradual transition into hospice care. Oncology teams must thus, work in tandem with palliative care teams to ensure holistic management of women suffering from cervical cancer.","PeriodicalId":325896,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Cancer Therapy and Research","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133341240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
