In consequence, leadership development and change management tend to be top priorities for many human resource development (HRD) professionals today. Despite this, much academic and practitioner literature suggests that 70% of all change programs fail. Through analyzing 200 organizational change case studies, this chapter examines this high failure rate, investigates leadership styles and their relationship to change, and explores the key factors that either enable or hinder successful change. The key findings of this examination were that the majority of the 200 studied change initiatives were considered successful and that using Kotter's change model, which has been long established, does not necessarily mean success; nor does the use of a democratic/participative leadership style. The most significant hindering factors and the key critical success factors are also acknowledged.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132298614","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Being end-users and software companies those who have direct contact with accessibility problems, other stakeholders are committed to defining methods and change mentalities in Web accessibility implementation. In addition to a conceptual definition, this chapter presents entities views with responsibilities in the area, taking into account their work done in the past and the prospects for future. The understanding of the interaction between all these perspectives will help to realize the way it will go, which carries with it great challenges and opportunities, widely explored in this work.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122515615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article extends capability-based perspective of traditional CRM by integrating it with social media technologies and to assess empirically their significant impact on firm performance. It also examines the mediating role of co-created customer experience. The developed hypothesis and proposed model were tested through structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that co-created customer experiences play a role of mediator between social CRM capabilities and performance outcomes. Sales/marketing centric technology resources significantly influence four dimensions and customer centric technology resources influence two dimensions of relational information processing capability. The findings also depict that there is an influence of Sales/marketing and customer centric technology resources on customer linking, market sensing and social CRM capabilities.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126131817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Studies on maturity concentrate on identifying the components that determine an organization's maturity, the levels in which this maturity can be expressed, and the effects of maturity. However, the process of changing from one level to another level is hardly or not addressed. By taking an organizational change perspective on developing maturity, this chapter develops a framework that provides guidance for the development of maturity. For every transition, from one level to another, a set of interventions is provided that addresses both the hard and the soft dimensions of organizational change. Successful project management maturity development requires that equal attention is being paid to both the hard and the soft dimensions of organizational change. The framework developed in this chapter provide guidance for this.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114780201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the need to overcome difficulties in resource management, the Portuguese Air Force still uses a method centered in hierarchical structure and career progress. Competencies within job positions are not yet typified, meaning that the individual that occupies a certain job position may not be the most capable. To solve this problem, this article studies an online organization model that represents the concepts of organizational entities, job positions, resource management and human resource management through competency management. The model describes each concept individually and the relationships between components. If validated and implemented, the model will allow an improvement in human resource management effectiveness, and efficiency.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121892508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This process involves the differentiation of the activities, processes, structure, and targets of the organization. It is significant for an organization to decide where it is supposed to be in the future and to comprehend how to get to that new status-quo. Increasing globalization, fast technological changes, necessity of a well-trained labor force, changing social and demographic structures have intensified the competition and organizational change has become inevitable. The elements of an effective change process are openness to change, willingness of the personnel, flexibility, adjustment capacity of the business, optimism, and effective planning of change. The change process affects the organizations at structural, managerial, and individual basis as a result of the success of the change process.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133337530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, most organizations often fail to utilize and explore the new information system's functionalities to achieve their expected objectives as promised. This brutal fact reveals implicitly that there is an urgent need to improve the knowledge of understanding why and how employees accept and use new information systems. Particularly, in many cases, the reasons for the new information system's failure are neglecting social factors and a lack of change management. In view of such, the main aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between workplace social support and employee's attitude toward enterprise resource planning system from the perspective of organizational change. Results from a sample of 334 respondents in Taiwan revealed that workplace social support not only influences employee's attitude towards enterprise resource planning system directly, but also exerts its influences indirectly via affective commitment to organization and affective commitment to change.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131530562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Findings in 2015 suggested that leadership style and virtual team effectiveness did predict project quality, and specific leadership styles had a negative relationship with virtual team effectiveness. After summarizing the results of the studies purpose, methodology, and findings, the chapter concludes with a literature review of virtual team's leadership research between 2015 and present. It provides a discussion on the relationship between the previous studies' findings and what has been found since with recommendations on future research on shared leadership and relationship building in virtual teams.","PeriodicalId":325408,"journal":{"name":"Research Anthology on Digital Transformation, Organizational Change, and the Impact of Remote Work","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114118247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
