{"title":"주거비 부담이 출산에 미치는 영향: 2000년 이후 혼인가구를 중심으로","authors":"배호중, 한창근","doi":"10.16999/KASWS.2019.50.1.35","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.16999/KASWS.2019.50.1.35","url":null,"abstract":"본 연구는 한국노동패널(KLIPS) 자료를 이용하여 저출산의 원인을 짚어보기 위한 접근방식의 하나로 `출산시점`에 초점을 맞추어 실증분석을 실시하였다. 저출산 문제가 심각해진 2000년 이후 혼인한 가구를 대상으로 그들의 혼인당시 상황이 이후 출산에 이르기까지의 기간에 대해 면밀히 살펴보고자 하였으며 `자산`, 그 중에서도 대부분의 신혼가구에서 가장 중요한 자산을 이루고 있는 신혼초기의 주택자산을 중심으로 `결혼~첫째아 출생일`까지의 기간에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 혼인 당시 남편과 아내의 연령이 높을수록 빨리 자녀를 출산하였으며, 혼인 당시 남편의 높은 소득수준은 출산을 촉진시키는 요인이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 아내의 소득수준이 높을수록 출산을 늦게 하는 것으로 분석되어 자녀 출산에 따른 기회비용에 대해 성별 간(부부 간) 상이한 인식의 가능성을 엿볼 수 있었다. 본 연구의 주된 관심사인 혼인 당시의 주택자산과 관련해서는 자가주택을 보유한 상태로 신혼을 시작하는 경우 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해 좀 더 일찍 자녀를 출산하는 것으로 분석되었으며, 전반적으로 거주하고 있는 신혼주택의 가액이 높을수록 자녀를 빨리 낳을 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 저출산의 원인을 짚어보기 위한 접근의 하나로 `출산시점`에 초점을 맞추어 그간 논의의 중심이 되지 않았던 `자산`에 초점을 두고 대표성 있는 통계자료를 이용해 실증적으로 살펴보았다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 출산력 제고를 위한 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.","PeriodicalId":325247,"journal":{"name":"Korean Journal of Social Welfare Studies","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125148692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
