A hospital’s success is determined not only by its profitability but also by patient and provider satisfaction. Provider satisfaction affects the quality of patient services. In a hospital setting, nurses have the most hours of contact with the patient as nurses are on call 24 hours a day. For this reason, the role of nurses is particularly important in determining patient satisfaction and in making a hospital successful and competitive. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between level of nursing satisfaction and quality of nursing services using questionnaires.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"51 9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121204355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed at developing the transfer pricing aggressiveness measurement and empirically testing the effect of the corporate governance (CG) mechanism on the aggressiveness of transfer pricing. The transfer pricing aggressiveness measurement was developed using PMK No. 213/PMK.03/2016 and regulation of BAPEPAM-LK Number VIII.G.7 (2012) as references. The sample used in this research is 100 companies with the largest market capitalization listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2012–2014. The results show that the developed transfer pricing aggressiveness index can be used to measure aggressiveness of transfer pricing. However, this research could not provide support that CG can reduce the aggressiveness of transfer pricing.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115807747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study considered all cities and regencies in West Java provided their e-government website was not under repair during observation in April 2018. The study was triggered by Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information, which obliges governments to disseminate public information in a way that is easily accessible by the public. This can be accomplished using e-government. The results show that there is no significant relationship between the ratio of local regional revenue and the size of local government, and the ratio of regional spending and income per capita of a local government with the accessibility of Internet financial reporting.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124249119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the process of archive digitization, especially from paper archives to digital format, is an option for companies to store their documents more efficiently and effectively. In addition, it can make document retrieval easier. However, although digitization is supported by Regulation No. 8 of 1997 on electronic documents, according to Hadiwardoyo (2001), the archives digitization process is not necessarily supported by the readiness of other legal instruments. Hadiwardoyo¹ argues that archive digitization involves two main things: the security of the media technology digitization device and the legal considerations related to the validity of the evidence in court. This research explores how the quality of the archive digitization process, especially in government, can be improved so that it is not just an effort toward e-governance but also acceptable for auditing as part of digital forensics.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129116814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Campus restaurants offer benefits to students who live on campus, live with their parents, or live in boarding houses, and they present opportunities to other businesses in the area. However, running a business as a food-service entrepreneur can be challenging because one needs an understanding of the restaurant business and an appreciation of the value of menu innovation. Small Business Trends (2011) reported the following: “The most appealing elements of business (at least for me right now) are innovation, connection, and courtesy.” Therefore, various strategies related to service and pricing need to be determined to run a restaurant. A small business entrepreneur is defined as an individual who establishes and manages a business for the principal purpose of profit and growth (Carland et al., 1984; Yallapragada and Bhuiyan, 2011). This study describes how Padang restaurant entrepreneurs near the Universitas Indonesia campus and the area surrounding another university near Depok City implement service and price policies for a clientele of students on limited budgets.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130544136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rapid development of E-commerce has radically changed financial accounting methods and theory. In this paper, we use a descriptive analysis to show that E-commerce revenue may be tallied via gross or net methods, depending on several guidelines. The role of the supplier can also have a significant impact on determining whether the E-commerce entity is acting as an agent or a principal. The impact of reporting gross and net income remains the same, as do the current margins of profitability. For investors who value companies based on sales growth rather than profitability, data can be misleading. In May 2014, the Financial Accounting Standards Board issued an Accounting Standards Update, targeting revenue from contracts with customers. This guidance required more detailed disclosures to ensure financial statements would be understandable in terms of nature, amounts, timing, and revenue and cash flows arising from contracts. Companies have not fully adopted this guidance, however. In any case, the new standard may be applied retrospectively or as a cumulative adjustment as of the date of adoption.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"2018 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133029616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to advancements in information technology, digital books (i.e., books published in digital form) are becoming increasingly used in the field of education, especially in Indonesia. Although previous studies have focused on the advantages of using digital books in educational activities, such as influencing users to read the materials more frequently and providing the flexibility to read the materials on compatible devices, some users only read certain sections, instead of the entire text. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess an interactive digital book (based on the ePub format) at a vocational school in Indonesia, with specific focus on its media aspects, presentation materials, and benefits. Based on the results of the descriptive and statistical analyses, the digital book effectively supported the students’ vocational learning activities. Moreover, on average, 95% of the students agreed with the digital book’s media aspects, 97% agreed with its presentation materials, and 99% agreed with its benefits. The implication of the findings is that digital books can be effective tools for acquiring information and teaching vocational skills.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117076200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The primary problem faced by diabetics is increased glucose concentrations in the blood. Diabetes can be prevented by exercising regularly or by increasing daily physical activity. For example, people with diabetes can perform gymnastics regularly. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Indonesian Series 6 Diabetes Gymnastics on glucose tolerance test results. This study used a pretest and posttest design involving 35 females aged 21–60 years who all comprised one group treatment. All subjects in this study were healthy and had not been diagnosed with diabetes, as evidenced by their fasting blood glucose (GDP) levels before performing the Indonesia Series 6 Diabetes Gymnastics. Performing Indonesian Series 6 Diabetes Gymnastics can reduce GDP levels significantly (p = 0.03) but cannot significantly reduce the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose (GD2PP) levels (p = 0.364). Based on these results, one repetition of the Indonesian Series 6 Diabetes Gymnastics cannot affect glucose tolerance test results.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117327843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Clinical Authority Information System is an information system used in RS X to provide safe referral services for patients. This study aims to determine the benefits of using that system in providing patient referral services by taking a quantitative approach with a cross sectional design. Data were collected in March 2017. The sample was assembled and comprised a total of 22 doctors and nurses who worked in the nursing ward. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire survey and processed by univariate analysis. The results showed that a majority of respondents found the system to be convenient for patient transfer with no obstacles in coordinating the patient transfer process. Information on doctors‟ clinical authority was also easy to obtain. The existence of the system helped facilitate and guarantee the safe transfer of patients. The referral system is very useful in terms of patient safety.","PeriodicalId":325166,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Vocational Higher Education (ICVHE 2018)","volume":"341 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122993569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
