Scotch pine (Pinus Silvestris L.) and beech (Fagus Sylvatica L.) wood samples were heat treated separately at three different temperatures (170 °C, 190 °C and 210 °C) using ThermoWood, oil treatment and hot air methods. Density and bending strength of the test samples were determined in accordance with the principles of TS 2472 and TS 2474, respectively. According to the results of the study, the variation in heat treatment method and processing temperature was found to be significant on the density and bending strength values of the wood samples. In terms of heat treatment method, the highest density and bending strength for both wood species were obtained in oil heat-treated samples. In addition, higher strength values were found in the samples treated with the ThermoWood method compared to the hot air method. For all methods, the density and bending strength values of the wood samples decreased depending on the increase in the heat treatment temperature. Its subspecies, Golkoy palm (Phoenix theophrasti Greuter subsp. Golkoyana Boydak) was recorded only in Turkey. These two species that are distributed in sensitive ecosystems should be protected diligently. Although Datca palm has three natural populations in Turkey, Golkoy palm has only one population. These populations are threatened further due to certain factors such as tourism activities, pollution, urbanization, use of groundwater and forest fires. Therefore, in-situ and ex-situ protection measures should be taken to ensure its continuity. To this end, certain treatments have been developed to increase the seed germination percentage and speed of Golkoy palm for seedling production. Research material was obtained from Trabzon. The stem wood was cut for the tests to be carried out and test samples were obtained and kept in the air-conditioning room until it became air-dry. The tests were carried out according to the relevant standards. When the boxwood wood was examined macroscopically, it was observed that the wood color varied between light yellow and dark yellow, there was no prominent heartwood and the annual rings were less obvious. When the obtained results are evaluated, it has been determined that Anatolian boxwood has diffuse-porous wood, the air-dry density value is 0.94 g/cm3 and it is in the “heavy woods” class, the compression strength parallel to grain is 70.64 N/mm2 and it is in the “the compression strength is great woods” class. According to the results of the surface roughness parameters, the radial surface of the boxwood is rougher than the tangential surface, and according to the results of the color parameters, it was determined that the tangential surface was lighter in color than the radial surface and both surfaces were in yellow hue. Anatolian boxwood, which has a hard wood for working, is widely used in the production of ornaments, tool handles, spoons, combs, backgammon stamps, rulers, musical instrument parts, carving, turnery and inlay. For this purpose, hand and surface disinfectants and cologne were applied to the laminate flooring surfaces obtained from the market in two different effect times (16 and 24 hours) according to TS EN 12720:2009+A. Visual inspection of laminate flooring was determined according to TS EN 12720, scratch resistance TS EN 15186, surface roughness TS 6956 EN ISO 4287/A1 and total color change ASTM D2244 principles. According to the results of the study, no visible defects such as discoloration, brightness and color change, swelling detected on the parquet surfaces. The clones were tested in four different sites. Seedlings were planted at spacing of 3.25x3.25m in a Randomized Block Design. Each clone was represented by a total of 25 seedlings. There were statistically significant differences between clones in terms of growth and survival in all of the trial sites. As a result of evaluating the volume growth and survival together; in Karabucak and Ceyhan conditions, CG96 and in Kırıkhan conditions C298 clone had the highest values. In the joint analysis of the trial sites, except for Kırıkhan which had fewer living clones, a statistically significant difference was found between the three trial sites regarding growth and survival. Concerning these variables, Karabucak-111 had higher values than the other trial sites. It was also found that there was a statistically significant difference between clones; and G96 clone had the highest values especially regarding growth and took place on the top. The results show that more productive industrial plantations can be achieved with the use of the outstanding clones identified for each region. It is a well-known fact that plants affect human psychology in addition to all their other characteristics. Aesthetic plants in living spaces also provide spiritual relaxation in people. Since the red-leaved Japanese maple (Acer palmatum Thunb. 'Atropurpureum'), a member of the Sapindaceae family, is also a cultivar frequently preferred in parks and gardens with its decorative features, it is important to determine its production methods. From this point of view, the aim of the study is to examine the effects of different greenhouse media, including Greenhouse-1 (air temperature at 20±2°C, rooting table temperature at 25±2°C and humidity level at 70±2%) and Greenhouse-2 (air temperature at 20±2°C, rooting table temperature at 20±2°C and humidity level at 70±2%), and auxins (IAA, IBA and NAA at 3000 and 5000 ppm doses) on the rooting of red-leaved Japanese maple cuttings. The first callus and first root formation dates, rooting percentage, callus percentage, root length and the number of roots were determined on softwood cuttings taken from the rootstock plant in May in the Kanuni Campus of Karadeniz Technical University and planted in perlite rooting medium. As a result of the analysis of variance on the obtained data, statistically significant differences occurred between the greenhouse media at the 99% confidence level and between the phytohormones at the 95% confidence level in terms of rooting percentage. 109 days after the cuttings were planted, the first root formation occurred in the NAA 5000 ppm treatment in the Greenhouse-1 medium, while the highest rooting percentage was determined as 63.33% in the same greenhouse medium and treatment. Production works in forested wetlands differ from other forestry areas in technical and environmental aspects. In this study, wood raw material production in forested wetlands was investigated from some technical and environmental aspects. Forested wetlands in the Süleymaniye Forestry Operations Directorate, which is affiliated to the Hendek Forestry Management Directorate, were chosen as the study area. In the study area, logging works were examined. In the results of working; It has been determined that the production time is limited due to flooding, and that there is water on the soil surface at a level that will prevent production even in a small amount of rainy period. It was determined that the water rose 1-1.5 m between January and April. In addition, it was observed that drainage was made in the area in order to perform the logging process. The harvesting process is carried out by the method of take one row and leave one row (7-8 m). Wood raw material is extracted by rubbing with 4x4 or agricultural tractors with chains on their tires. A total of 32 extractions were examined in the field. As a result of the examination, it was determined that the whole stem logging method was used as the production method due to the flat or almost flat slope of the land. The products were brought to the loading area, divided into sections, and loaded onto trucks with a loader. It has been determined that the most important problem in forested wetlands is the water accumulating and rising on the soil surface. In order to eliminate this problem, a good drainage system should be established in the area and checked regularly. Since the soil type of such areas is generally loamy, 4x4 agricultural tractors should be used for extraction from the compartment or a separate equipment (track, chain, etc.) should be attached to other tractors. The use of remote sensing techniques makes it indispensable in such cases due to the difficulties in measuring with terrestrial measurement techniques in areas where the topography is rough and difficult to reach. Real-time kinematics (RTK) technique provides the satellite-based position accuracy from the nearest base stations and gives the sensitivity of the position data obtained with cm sensitivity. However, Post Process Kinematic (PPK) measurement technique provides an alternative solution in regions whose topographic structure is not suitable for satellite-based positioning. The aim of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of the RTK and post-measurement data evaluation (PPK) solution through post-processed and corrected measurements by Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and RTK-CORS. A special quarry within the boundaries of Düzce/Tatlıdere Forestry Operations Directorate was chosen as the study area. Using the DJI Phantom-4 RTK unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which has RTK and PPK application modules, two simultaneous flights in RTK and PPK modes were carried out in the quarry. The average position accuracies determined on the orthophoto by RTK and PPK method were obtained as 2,405 cm and 0.813 cm, respectively. According to these results; PPK solution has emerged as more accurate in areas with high height difference such as the quarry area. Ülkemizde insanların doğal kaynaklar üzerine baskısının artmasıyla erozyon miktarı artmış ve yaşamsal ekosistem üzerinde olumsuz etkilere neden olmuştur. Meydana gelen bu etkiyi azaltmaya yönelik önlemler alınabilmesi için bir havzada toprak kaybı miktarının belirlenmesi gerekmektedir. Çalışma alanı, Türkiye’nin Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesinde Trabzon ili sınırları içerisinde yer alan Değirmendere Çatak alt havzası seçilmiştir. Çalışmada toprak erozyonu miktarının hesaplanmasında Evrensel Toprak Kaybı Denklemi (RUSLE) ve Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS) kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, ortalama R, K, LS ve C değişken değerleri sırasıyla 324.65 MJ ha-1 mm saat-1 yıl-1, 0.029 t ha saat ha-1 MJ-1 mm-1, 11.23 ve 0.038 olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu verilere göre, Çatak alt havzasında yıllık ortalama toprak kaybı 3,28 ton/ha/yıl, sediment iletim oranı (SİO) 0.44 ve sediment verimi 1.46 ton/ha/yıl olarak bulunmuştur.
