And multiple high coherency signals are required as inputs for its test, which are with consistent frequency, adjustable amplitude, equal magnitude, and long-time phase consistency ≤±1°. But ordinary signal sources have only one output channel, which is far from meeting the test requirements. If the traditional power division is used for the duplication, the phase difference between the channels will be larger than ±1°. If the multi-throw Radio Frequency (RF) switch is used, it will seriously affect the phase consistency of the input signal and increase the distortion of the signal. In order to solve the above problems, the method to extend the output of the microwave signal source has been proposed in the paper by using the integrated transceiver AD9361. The proposed method can realize the duplication of the number of signal channels according to user requirements. Then a signal replicator has been designed by combining AD9361 chip and Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) control module. The experimental platform has been built to test the performance of the designed device. Experimental results show that the duplicated signals are highly consistent with the source signal in the power amplitude and frequency, meanwhile the phase of the duplicated signals are all highly consistent with each other.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 2","pages":"83-87"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10530643","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140924744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be identified within the different realms like family, work, and friendship. However, as individuals age, their sense of ikigai is prone to diminish. Teachable agents (TAs) have been employed in educational settings for decades to facilitate learning by teaching students. Previous research has indicated that TAs can have a positive impact on self-esteem which is an important aspect of ikigai. TAs may hold the potential to address issues related to declining ikigai that are often associated with aging. By engaging in the act of teaching the agent, elderly individuals may experience a sense of being needed, consequently enhancing their self-esteem and potentially leading to an improvement in their ikigai levels. In this paper, we introduce a TA designed around the concept of ikigai, aiming at assisting the elderly in maintaining a high level of ikigai to support healthy aging. Based on a user study conducted using the phenomenographical approach, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed TA design.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 2","pages":"71-76"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10530640","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140924697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, anxiety and depressive disorders are detected by screening with clinical scales, potentially undermining the efficacy of detecting mental disorders, as it is heavily contingent upon the personal condition of the individual participant and the expertise of diagnosing physician. Therefore, to predict the feasibility of individual-level mental disorders, we developed a multi-bands joint graph convolution network (MBJ-GCN) framework based on electroencephalogram (EEG) brain functional connectivity (FC) networks. The functional connectivity networks are fused with orthogonal power envelopes correlation across five different frequency bands. Furthermore, the five frequency bands of brain FC networks were then integrated using locally weighted clustering coefficients (LWCC), which were then combined into feature vectors to represent the vertexes. After that, we design parallel GCN layers with different inputs via random embeddings, which can recognize intrinsic mental disorder maps from the embeddings in GCNs. Finally, we concatenate the outputs of all GCN layers in the fully connected layer for prediction. The experimental results have shown that our proposed method has low mean absolute error (MAE) and high Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) performance compared with other prediction methods. It is possible to represent both individual characteristics and clinical information of potential patients using the proposed method. In conclusion, we extend traditional scale interviews to FC-based individual predictions, thereby taking a step towards the development of applicable techniques for quantitative real-world monitoring of mental disorders.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 2","pages":"65-70"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10530639","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140924739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, models based on graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have outperformed previous linear models on predicting the new disease-gene associations, due to its strong capability to capture the relevance of disease and gene in the new semantic embedding space. However, a single embedding vector cannot informatively represent a disease or gene and cannot characterize the uncertainty of their features. We propose to learn a distribution for a disease or gene under the variational autoencoder framework, which enables disease-gene associations to be modeled by the Kullback-Leibler divergence. The experiment results show that our model outperforms the state-of-the-art models significantly in various metrics.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 2","pages":"95-99"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10530642","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140924762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As such, GDTs play a crucial role in evaluating the patient's health, shaping treatment plans, and scheduling follow-up visits. However, given the free-text nature of GDTs, which lack a formal structure, physicians often find it challenging to extract meaningful insights from them. Furthermore, while deep learning has made significant strides in the medical domain, to our knowledge, there are not any readily available text-based pre-trained models tailored for GDT classification and analysis. To address this gap, we introduce a Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) based three-branch classification network tailored for GDTs. We leverage the robust representation capabilities of the BERT pre-trained model to deeply encode the texts. A unique three-branch decoder structure is employed to pinpoint lesion sites and determine cancer stages. Experimental outcomes validate the efficacy of our approach in GDT classification, with a precision of 0.993 and a recall of 0.784 in the early cancer category. In pinpointing cancer lesion sites, the weighted F1 score achieved was 0.849.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 1","pages":"56-63"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10445423","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139987273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

How to identify and select the high-level research teams and project leaders who are capable to make breakthroughs in core technologies is the key challenge of this new type of talents selection mechanism. Recent practical experience has shown that most of the research project leaders selected by this mechanism have one or more titles of talents. This paper aims at exploring whether the title of talents can fully reflect the research ability and team leadership of the scholars and then become necessary for selecting the best candidates. Based on a sample of selected project leaders, the empirical results show that although the title of talents facilitates the scholars to win honor and awards, the title of talents has no significant effects on their research achievements in terms of the quantity of academic papers, books, and projects, and also it is not related to their research leadership. Our findings provide policy implications that the title of talents should play a limited role in the “Open Bidding for Selecting the Best Candidates” mechanism.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 1","pages":"49-55"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10445694","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139987205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These theories are regarded as crucial in motivating online workers to engage in crowdsourcing. Nevertheless, there is a dearth of research on an overarching review of these theories. We performed a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed published studies focusing on motivational theories to identify popular theories and risks associated with nascent theories presented over the last decade in crowdsourcing. Based on a review of 91 papers from the domain of the natural sciences, we identified 35 motivational theories. The long tail theory helped us to identify the contribution of major influencing theories in a crowdsourcing environment. The results justify the long tail theory based on the Pareto principle of 80/20, which underlines the 20% of the popular motivation theories, namely self-determination, expectancy-value, game, gamification, behavior change, and incentive theory, as a cause of 80%. Similarly, we discussed the risks associated with 10 theories presented over the long tail, which have a frequency equal to 2. Understanding the significant impact, approximately 80%, of widely recognized motivational theories and their role in risk identification is crucial. This understanding can assist researchers in optimizing their results by effectively integrating these theories.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 1","pages":"10-27"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10445691","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139987226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We capture a lot of practical demands and constraints of the MCEVRP-PP, such as multiple temperature zones, the hard time window, charging more than once during delivery, various power consumption per unit of refrigeration, etc. We model the MCEVRP-PP as a mixed integer program and aim to optimize the total cost including vehicle fixed cost, power cost, and cooling cost. A hybrid ant colony optimization (HACO) is developed to solve the problem. In the transfer rule, the time window is introduced to improve flexibility in route construction. According to the features of multi-compartment electric vehicles, the capacity constraint judgment algorithm is developed in route construction. Six local search strategies are designed with time windows, recharging stations, etc. Experiments based on various instances validate that HACO solves MCEVRP-PP more effectively than the ant colony optimization (ACO). Compared with fuel vehicles and single-compartment vehicles, electric vehicles and multi-compartment electric vehicles can save the total cost and mileage, and increase utilization of vehicles.","PeriodicalId":32381,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Crowd Science","volume":"8 1","pages":"38-48"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=10445695","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139987165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
