And, especially for poor families which starts to setup small-scale business-like fruits, vegetables etc. shops for living one's life. We human from many centuries use weighing machines for evaluating weight of required purchased product and method for calculating cost. Basically, the selling price should be always being same as cost price set by government budget for common public but the reality lies the opposite of the same. With the advancement of technology, digital world is surrounding us. Current research is a step towards moving the scaling trends from manual to digital. As per research survey, Indian Government nowadays is much oriented to UPI Payment, Aadhaar Connect Payment etc. through launched movements like Digital India. So, to keep advancement in digital weighing techniques we introduced with “Smart Market App” which helps to solve whole manual calculation and doing transaction manually to a change to Digital Automation. Plus, with Aadhaar database linked via transaction management services is more secured as compared to manual currency exchange without any authentication. This feature too helps to build an authentication platform/portal where one can, with full support of governmental services can perform transaction securely and quickly. If this kind of approach is taken across market, then the results will be very much fruitful in terms of Digital Conversion of the nation.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123818233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Though it is not very fair to compare India's novice disease surveillance programme IDSP (Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme) with America's 70-year-old programme CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), however, it is needless to say, there is a lot of scope to follow the latter. According to various global health indices, India stands as a non-performer in the field of health and needs to catch up fast. There is an urgent need for including unstructured sources of data like social media and carrying out opinion analysis while publishing national health and epidemic outbreak advisories in near future. What traditional case-based reporting may fail to accomplish in terms of efficiency and promptness of disease outbreak reporting may easily be achieved by harnessing hidden potential of health data generated online in large volumes and possessing greater dynamic. This paper experiments the amalgamation of traditional epidemiology and computational epidemiology proposing a new approach that should be tested for its mettle by Indian Epidemic Advisory bodies like IDSP and others.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123968693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Subcarrier intensity modulation systems have been designed in free space optical (FSO) communication systems to improve the bandwidth efficiency. In this work we study the comparative performance of SP/DP (single polarization/dual polarization) coherent detection 16-QAM DSP integrated FSO system for two cases. Firstly, the system performance is evaluated for slow fading channels with the index refraction structure ranging from 1e−15 to 5 e−11 m−2/3. The fading model considered over here are log normal (LN) and gamma gamma (GG) turbulence model. Secondly the system is evaluated for various channel attenuation ranging from clear weather (0.11 dB/km) to dense fog (22 dB/km) conditions. From the analysis, it has been noted that at a fixed length of 100 m and under clear weather condition, the system can attain a respective rate of 518 Gbps and 1000 Gbps for SP/DP system. For a dense fog condition, at a fixed length of 100 m a system can attain a respective rate of 498 Gbps and 996 Gbps for SP/DP system. It has been analyzed that for error free condition the optimum range for clear weather condition is 1.709 km and 2.540 km for SP/DP systems respectively. For dense fog condition the optimum range comes out to be 494 m and 558 m at zero bit error rate (BER) for SP/DP systems respectively. System performance is evaluated using bit error rate, error vectored magnitude, electrical constellation diagram and polarization analyzer. It has been noted that DP systems maintain their state of polarization (SOP) throughout the link while it gets distracted for SP systems. The spectral efficiency of SP and DP system is measured as 5.333 bits/s/Hz and 10.667 bits/s/Hz respectively. The importance of integration of DSP system at receiver is evaluated in the work and the working process of DSP system is also highlighted.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114611923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this procedure, First of all the upper levels determine their fuzzy goals and they possess their preference in the form of constraints. Then, lower level optimizes its goals by considering the preference of upper levels and hence a satisfactory solution can be achieved by modifying the satisfactory degrees of the upper level decision makers until the overall satisfactory balance between all the levels of decision makers will not be attained. This procedure can be effectively used in determining the satisfactory optimum solution of required multilevel programming problem. To check the practicability of our proposed method, we are also yielding a numerical example of quadratic fractional programming problem with three levels.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131128360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Image de-noising is needed to obtain a clearer image and make it more useful as an information source. Few of the commonly added noise include salt and pepper, Gaussian, speckle noise. An efficient technique de-noising is filtering performed either in the spatial or frequency domain. Among the non-linear filters, Adaptive Weighted Median Filter (A WMF) reduces noise, preserving few of the image details, however, they do not considerably preserve edges. Frequency domain filtering using transforms as the Discrete Fourier Transform preserves edges, but does not provide any temporal details. This paced up the wavelets to be used for de-noising purpose. The Discrete form of Wavelet Transform (DWT) help represent an image with fewer coefficients, thereby eliminating redundancy. Using the DWT provides good results with approximation and details in all dimensions. A Hybrid algorithm is presented in this paper, in which various salient features of the DWT and AWMF methods are being considered. The proposed algorithm works by primarily applying the DWT on a corrupt noisy image with predefined levels of extraction and thresholding and then the resulting image is further processed using the AWMF for better quality. The proposed method provides sufficient image details and is computationally efficient taking up less memory as compared to AWMF and DWT. The quality of images de-noised by the use of the Hybrid Algorithm is studied and presented in terms of parameters such as the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), similarity index (SSIM) and the mean squared error (MSE).","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117124381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It sounds interesting to send data through LEDs. Feasibility of sending data through LEDs has already been proved by many researchers. In 2011, Professor Harald Haas from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, suggested an idea called “Data through illumination”. It has wide scope for short range high speed data transmission in future communication techniques. One of the applications of Visible Light Communication (VLC) is in aviation. In airplanes, it is advised to put phones on airplane mode as EM waves interfere with flight system. VLC could replace RF communication in aviation which would provide media services for passengers. In this work, a prototype of VLC is designed and developed to verify data communication over visible light spectrum. By very high flickering of light which is not detectable to human eye, data can be transmitted which is received by optical receiver. LEDs may be connected in different topologies to increase the distance of communication. Existing infrastructure of LEDs may also be used for VLC which further is a vital aspect for its popularity. Data connectivity can be setup with help of VLC in which LED could be connected to optical fibers and optical fibers gets data from a dedicated block which is responsible for RF connectivity. This will help the flights to have electromagnetic interference free communication but there is need to implement and prove the feasibility of the concept.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117344332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
