There are norms that regulate and bind every activity carried out based on detailed propositions. This rule or norm is commonly referred to as jurisprudence. Fiqh is knowledge of Islamic law that is amaliah through detailed arguments. While fiqh scholars define fiqh as a collection of amaliah laws which are required by Islam. Fiqh with that meaning is the fiqh that we find in religious practices or Muslim activities every day. In the science of fiqh, of course there are also fields that must be known to carry out life activities in the world. The purpose of writing to be achieved is to find out the field of jurisprudence, fiqh of worship, and the concept of muamalah in a broad sense. Worship is submission or self-servitude and gratitude for the favor of Allah, Almighty God. The type of research used is correlational quantitative which aims to determine whether or not there is an influence between the two variables to be measured. Total population of 38 students consisted of class III to class V SD Negeri No.12 Pamalikang Island. Burhani epistemology believes that the source of knowledge is reason. While ‘Irfani is an epistemology which assumes that science is the will (iradah). The chronology of Bayani at least has begun from Prophet Muhammad era when he explained difficult verses for friends to understand. Then, the friends interpreted it. Tabi'in collected texts from Rasulullah SAW and friends. They attached their interpretation and their ability of reasoning and ijtihad with the text as the main guidance. Aristoteles was the first person to develop Burhani epistemology which more focused on epistemological values than formal logic. The sources of ‘Irfani were divided into several classifications which in author's point of view, it was not from outside Islam because it was about the life of Allah’s Messenger. Prophet's friends and Tabi'in intended to use and to practice ‘Irfani even though the naming had not yet existed. The superiority of Bayani lies in the correctness of the text (the Qur’an and the Hadith) as the main source of universal Islamic law so that it becomes a guide and benchmark. However, its limitation lead to stagnation in religious life because its inability to respond the current development. Whereas the strength of Burhani is the system of thinking for epistemological construction which is built on reasoning and logic but it is sometimes limited of asynchronous texts and reality. The strength of ‘Irfani is all the knowledge from intuitions, musyaadah and mukasyafah are closer to the truth of sciences which are extracted from rational arguments and reasons. Perennial philosophy views education as the process of guiding one's abilities (talents) to be active or real (real, manifested, and applied) as a basic human potential. In Plato's view, humans basically have three basic potentials, namely lust, will and reason (mind). These three potentials are the basis for building human personality and character. This research was conducted with the aim of: 1) knowing the nature of the concept of modernization of Islamic education according to Fazlur Rahman. 2) knowing the nature of the concept of democratization of Islamic education according to Fazlur Rahman. 3) knowing the variety of modernization of Islamic education according to Fazlur Rahman and 4) knowing the variety of democratization of Islamic education according to Fazlur Rahman. Basically this research is a literature research or library research using a philosophical analysis approach and a historical approach. Data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. The results of this study indicate that the concept of modernization of Islamic education according to Fazlur Rahman, namely: education is the starting point for reform. Any renewal model in Islam would never have happened without the involvement of education in it. Fazlur Rahman emphasized the concept of democratization in freedom for humans to develop creative attitudes and knowledge that exist in humans in order to improve their lives. Furthermore according to Fazlur Rahman that education should be held by promoting the freedom of students, because without the existence of a creative attitude students are difficult to develop. The variety of modernization of Islamic education that was initiated by Fazlur Rahman includes five aspects, namely: The Purpose of Islamic Education, the Education System, Educators, Students, and Educational Facilities.
