The Sikumbang Kampar Springs distributor is experiencing the problem of increasing the cost of distribution because it does not have a distribution pattern. Therefore, it takes a transportation model to complain distribution problems experienced by the distributor of Springs Sikumbang Kampar. The research was conducted to obtain the minimum cost in distributing the drinking water to help distributors solve these problems. For this reason, a method is needed in compiling a mathematical model appropriate to the distribution problem. The methods used in the study are Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM), Improved Vogel's Approximation Method (IVAM), Max-Min Vogel's Approximation Method (MM-VAM), and Modified Vogel's Approximation Method (MVAM). Based on the results of the study, Vogel's Approximation Method generates total cost different initial solutions. Vogel's Approximation Method is more efficient, as it has few iterations to obtain the optimal solution using the stepping stone method. Distributors can consider the use of Vogel's Approximation Method in optimizing the distribution costs of drinking water from Sikumbang Kampar Springs. Total distribution transportation costs Sikumbang Kampar Springs per week uses transportation model is Rp 4,580,485.00. This result is more optimal for transportation costs distributor, that is Rp 5.050.000.000,00, so there is a reduction in transportation for Rp 469,515.00.","PeriodicalId":31996,"journal":{"name":"Numerical Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45781685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If the basic understanding of students' concepts is not good or weak, students cannot solve math problems. Therefore, understanding the concept is essential to help students in learning mathematics. The teacher does not optimize the methods, strategies, or learning models in the learning process. So far, the learning process is only guided by explanations or examples of questions. As a result, when students are faced with different questions, students have difficulty solving problems. It happens because of the lack of students' conceptual understanding skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability to understand the concept by using origami media through the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model. This study uses a quantitative approach, while the design used in this study is the Pre-Experiment One group pre-test and post-test design. The population in the study were all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 42 Banda Aceh, totaling 50 students, consisting of students in class VA-1 as the Experiment class, while in class VA-2 as the Control class. Based on the analysis of research data, it is stated that the significant value (2-tailed) N-Gain score is 0.000 less than 0.05, so H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the concept understanding ability and belief taught with origami media and through the TTW model with using conventional learning.","PeriodicalId":31996,"journal":{"name":"Numerical Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42462544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The government's productive investment activities that spur the nation's competitiveness in the global era prioritize Indonesia's education development. This study aims to cluster provinces in Indonesia based on educational indicators using the Agglomerative method consisting of the Average Linkage and Ward methods. Data collection is based on documentation techniques obtained from Statistics Indonesia in 2018. Data analysis used hierarchical cluster analysis consisting of data standardization, determining the size of the similarity or dissimilarity between data, the clustering process with a distance matrix, and seeing the characteristics of the cluster results formed. The second clustering method is by doing the initial grouping and determining the excellent cluster based on the average standard deviation ratio to the standard deviation between groups. Clustering results show the Ward method with the number of collections as many as 4 clusters and produces a ratio with a value of 0.01 smaller than the Average Linkage method. It shows that the cluster analysis method using the Ward method has better group accuracy quality than the Average Linkage method.","PeriodicalId":31996,"journal":{"name":"Numerical Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48488899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ability to understand mathematical concepts of each student is different. There are several influencing factors, one of which is the anxiety experienced by students when learning mathematics. Therefore, mathematics is one of the important lessons to be learned, not only students at school but also students who are studying in Islamic boarding schools. Some of the knowledge that students learn in Islamic boarding schools also requires mathematics. For example, when studying the science of zakat distribution, Faraid science, and the like. The students have applied the linkage of mathematical concepts with Islamic concepts studied by students in Islamic boarding schools. In this study, the data collection method used was a literature study. This method was used to obtain additional literature data from reference books regarding mathematics anxiety towards students. In fact, mathematics is a basic science that is important for the advancement of science and technology, and the concepts in learning mathematics are used in everyday life. The author tries to offer a solution to reduce the level of anxiety of students towards mathematics by conducting learning that integrates the Qur'an with mathematics using the QURMATICA method as a solution can be used to play and learn mathematics and to encourage students' enthusiasm in learning mathematics and students can reduce their mathematics anxiety.","PeriodicalId":31996,"journal":{"name":"Numerical Jurnal Matematika dan Pendidikan Matematika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46612050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
