In the field of process modelling, Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) is the most used standard. However, BPMN remains limited to cater for the specific characteristics and properties of CPS such as real world properties. In this paper, we propose BPMN4CPS, which provides a set of extensions for BPMN to properly and accurately model CPS processes. In order to illustrate the applicability of BPMN4CPS, we present a case study of an ambulance drone system.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"158 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128844885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the application considers real-time events (e.g., weather data or temporary unavailability of a touristic site) to adapt proposed schedules.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121515466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several approaches have been proposed that take into account users' preferences, but a comprehensive user-aware approach is still missing. In a previous work we proposed an approach that addressed the user-aware composition of services, in this paper we propose to extend the previous approach by considering also semantic techniques and simple collaboration aspects. So, we propose the definition of a middleware for composing and exploiting services that exhibits some key features: (i) it considers the profile of the users that exploit the service to choose appropriate services for them, (ii) it exploits techniques of semantic similarity between user and service descriptions to make the choice more effective, and (iii) it enables the collaboration among users. By means of a case study we present a possible scenario that can take advantage of our middleware, and we show how it can be exploited.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128010557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An increasing number of biodiversity research institutions add new specimens and their related information to their biological collections and make this information available on the Web. However, mechanisms which are currently available provide insufficient provenance of biodiversity information. In this paper, we propose a new biodiversity provenance model extending the W3C PROV Data Model. Biodiversity data is mapped to terms from relevant ontologies, such as Dublin Core and GeoSPARQL, stored in triple stores and queried using SPARQL endpoints. Additionally, we provide a use case using our provenance model to enrich collection data.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126244214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A formal basis was used for managing both QoC (Quality of Context) and QoS (Quality of Service). Our approach was assessed in an experimental setting by using biomedical and environment sensors. The experiments showed that the context semantic processing detects anomalies or inconsistencies, generating consistent alerts. We observed that the SDN (Software-Defined Network) allows the context to be transported and delivered in accordance with the QoS context requirements. Therefore, our approach provides knowledge with fine granularity to assist health caregivers in making decisions.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131826351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These kinds of simulations are usually run on super-computers or clusters, which may be expensive or difficult to access. In this work we present DENIS@Home, a simulation platform that follows the Volunteer Computing paradigm. DENIS@Home is based on BOINC, a volunteer computer environment used worldwide, and on Cell ML, an open standard for mathematical modeling. In this paper we describe the system and show its advantages over more traditional approaches, and also discuss its potential utility for the scientific community.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130102669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Infact, the nature of those artifacts has deeply changed (i.e. They are essentially models) and relationships between them are numerous (e.g. Transformation, matching, overlap and so on). We highlight that they are under-considered by the software process community and propose an approach, which takes into account all the details related to them while modeling a software process. Our approach also gives the possibility to ensure an optimized management for the artifacts at process runtime.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127137915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the literature, the existing solutions lack a consensus about their developments and their proofs. Moreover, the proofs which have been presented are done manually. In this paper, we propose a reuse based approach for specifying and proving distributed algorithms in dynamic networks. It consists in developing a formal pattern using Event-B method, based on refinement techniques. The proposed pattern allows to handle topological events in dynamic networks and to characterize the concept of time. Our solution relies on evolving graphs as a powerful model to record the evolution of a network topology. To illustrate it, we present an example of a distributed counting algorithm. The proof statistics related to the development of the pattern and the algorithm show the efficiency of our solution.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115113325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve that, we first study the position of cloud simulator entities against OCCI model. Afterward, we define an OCCI extension simulation. In order to study the usefulness of this extension, we implement in the second time a module for Eclipse IDE to define OCCI configuration graphically. This tool uses the proposed extension. From the generated OCCI configuration, cloud resources are extracted and used by Cloud Sim simulator upon OCCI metamodel. Multiple experiments with different configuration were conducted to validate the generality of the proposed simulation extension.","PeriodicalId":319817,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 25th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126146529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
