Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was used to design the experiments. The various milling parameters and vegetable-based cutting fluids (VBCFs) were optimized to reduce the surface roughness and flank wear. The experimental results reveal the direct relationship between the flank wear and sound & vibration signals. The various statistical parameters were extracted from the measured signals and given as input data to train the neural network. A new On-Chip TVS (OCT) structure without extra process modification and a novel electrostatic discharge method for RS485 transceiver IC have been proposed. It is composed of a serie of Zener diodes and fabricated in 5V/18V/24V 0.5µm CDMOS technology. A 100ns pulse width of the Transmission Line Pulsing (TLP) test is performed for this proposed OCT. The driver circuit itself can work as an ESD device as well. The OCT trigger voltage is compatible with the signal level of RS485 standard. The OCT device protection level of human-body-model (HBM) is up to 16.34kV. RS485 transceiver integrated with OCT has also been tested in order to verify its reliability. The results indicate that it can pass the IEC61000-4-2 contact ±10kV stress and IEC 61000−4−4 Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) ±2.2kV without any hard damages and latch-up issues. The RS485 transceiver integrated with the OCT allows error-free data rate transfer up to 500 kbps. Kuwait depends mainly on oil revenue to finance infrastructure governmental projects. Oil price decline has a direct impact on economic and capital expenditure in the construction industry’s resources in Kuwait, specifically construction material. This research investigates the effect of changes in oil prices over range from 2007-2017 on the construction industry in Kuwait. Different types of data regarding global economic data, construction materials, and awarded contracts during the study period were gathered and analyzed. A set of statistical and correlation analysis are performed. The study revealed that many construction materials are affected by oil price in Kuwait. The GDP is highly affected by oil price drop; this implies that there is a limited result of government plans to divers governmental finance. A regression model is proposed to forecast the construction cost per square meter in Kuwaiti dinar based on study variables. Due to the intricacy of ship wave interactions and their sensitivity, predicting such a reaction is extremely challenging. Because vibration motion is an undesirable occurrence, it must be removed, decreased, or controlled. A coupled Pitchroll ship model with negative cubic velocity feedback control subjected to parametric excitations is premeditated and solved in this paper. The method of multiple time scales is applied to scrutinize the response of the two modes of the system neighbouring the simultaneous sub-harmonic, and internal resonance situation. Besides, the steady-state solution is determined through the RungKutta Method (RKM) of fourth order. Stability of the steady state solution near this resonance case is discussed and studied applying Lyapunov’s first indirect method and RouthHurwitz criterion. The influences of the different parameters on the steady state solution are reconnoitred and discussed. The controller effects on the stability are clarified. The addition of cement to soils have proved a significant effect on the geotechnical properties of treated soils. In this study, an artificial clayey sand soil samples were prepared by mixing 20% kaolin clay of fine sand. Initially, compaction tests were conducted on soil mixture to study the effect of kaolin addition on maximum dry density, optimum moisture content of mixed soil at a relative density of 55%. The mixed soils were improved by cement. Then ,a series of unconfined compression tests were performed to clarify the performance of improved soil with different cement contents at the optimum water content of each cement content ,and the samples examined after two hours from preparation, and curing period of 7 days and 14 day. Results of compaction test indicate that adding kaolin increasing maximum dry density and moisture content. It has sequential processes, including transformation, similarity metric calculation, diffusion regularization, and optimization of the transformation parameters (i.e., rotation, translation, and shear). The optimization process for determining the optimal set of the transformation vectors is considered the main stage affecting the performance of the registration process. Hence, medical image registration can be deliberated as an optimization problem for computing the geometric transformations to realize maximum similarity between the moving image and the fixed one. In this paper a mono-modal nonrigid image registration using B-spline is designed for the alignment of Computed Tomography (CT) images using Adaptive Gradient algorithm (AdaGrad) optimizer. In addition, a comparative study with other first order optimizers, such as Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), Adaptive Moment Estimation (Adam) algorithm (AdaMaX), AdamP, and RangerQH were conducted. Also, a comparison with the limited memory Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shannon (LBFGS) as a second order optimizer was also carried out. The results showed the superiority of the AdaGrad optimizer by 56.99% and 48.37% improvement in the target registration error (TRE) compared to the SGD, and the LBFGS optimizer, respectively. The tender stage is crucial in any construction project; it sets the basis of the second party selection to a contract, which is essential for the success of the project. The State of Kuwait issued The New Tender Law (No. 49 of 2016) in align with the rapid development of laws and regulations. The New Tender Law has introduced twenty modifications, which were included in a survey distributed to a number of participants with experience in the public construction industry in Kuwait. Ninety-three completed surveys were gathered and included in the research's analysis. Box plot and weighted average along with the standard deviation, were used to sort the twenty tender law modifications according to their influence on bid price and overall project duration. The variation of discharge for unit length of the crest may cause challenges on design of downstream crest curve (that affect coefficient of discharge and downstream crest negative pressure). Furthermor, formation of a horizontal voryex flow affects the spillway discharge. In this paper, in order to resolve these problems by energy dissipation and water flow aeration, variable size steps are mapped to downstream of the curved odjee crest of morning glory spillway. A finite volume base numerical flow solver is used to investigate the effects of the considered configurations on the hydraulic design parameters. In this work, having verified the pressure and aeration of the flow over an ordinary stepped spillway, the characteristics of flow over geometry of an ordinary morning glory spillway as well as stepped spillway are modelled and compared to the available measurements on laboratory hydraulic models.  Finally, an existing ordinary morning glory spillway is computationally modelled by considering an alternative design of variable sized steps at downstream crest (by mapping their edges to the ordinary profile of the morning glory spillway). Thermal analysis of a desiccant wheel, a heat exchanger, a ground source circulation system, and a solar collector for a hybrid air conditioning system is performed in this study. The effects of these parameters have been studied: Inlet air temperature, Inlet air humidity ratio, wheel speed, regeneration temperature, regeneration mass flowrate, heat exchanger effectiveness, ground source circulation effectiveness, and solar radiation on the behavior of the outlet air temperature and the outlet air humidity ratio from the desiccant wheel, the area of solar air collector, the solar collector efficiency, the cooling coil load, and the coefficient of performance. The hybrid system is more efficient than the vapor compression system. The hybrid system significantly decreases the cooling coil load, the cooling coil load of the hybrid system is approximately 48 % lower than the vapor compression system.
