It discusses the realization of the metaplastic cyber media through the interdisciplinary methodologies between reality and virtual realities. The cyber media acquires form and meaning through its process of conceptual interpretation. The Metaplastic artistic machine becomes aesthetic expression of virtuality. Some examples of applications are introduced through the Open Metaplastic software and hardware modelling design framework.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116922896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also users are usually not allowed to specify the details of design. This paper presents a new technology for extracting the feature vectors capturing the details of collar design. A prototype system based on relevance feedback is also developed allowing users search for cloth images with preferred collar design. The effectiveness of the proposed technique has been validated through a subject study.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"487 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115329820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Glassless stereoscopic displays are currently used in many fields, however, accurately adjusting their physical display position is difficult, especially given their large display area. Our proposed method effects a dynamic adjustment of the positions of images on the display to match various physical conditions in 3D displays. We constructed a simple 3D viewing system using a high-resolution display and a lenticular lens. Experimental results confirmed that our method can automatically adjust the positions of images in 3D displays. In future research, we intend to implement this automatic adjustment system.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128334681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Power ramps are caused by intermittent supply of wind power generation. This is an important problem in the power system that needs to keep the load and generation at balance at all times while any unbalance leads to price volatility, grid security issues that can create power stability problems that leads to financial losses. In this study, K-means clustering and association rules of apriori algorithm are implemented to analyze and predict wind power ramp occurrences based on 10 minutes temporal SCADA data of power from records of Ayyildiz wind farm. Power ramps are computed from this data. Five wind turbines with no dissimilarity measure in space were clustered based on temporal data. The power ramp data are analyzed by the K-means algorithm for calculation of their cluster means and cluster labels. Association rules of data mining algorithm were employed to analyze temporal ramp occurrences between wind turbines. Each turbine impact on the other turbines were analyzed as different transactions at each time step. Operational rules based on these transactions are discovered by an apriori association rule algorithm for operation room decision making. Discovery of association rules from an apriori algorithm can help with decision making for power system operator.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128576273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many have attempted to reproduce these patterns in digital form, using various pattern generation techniques. Shape grammars are an effective pattern generation method, providing good aesthetic results. In this paper we present a novel approach in generating 3D IGP using an extended shape grammar: Parametrized Shape Grammar (PSG). PSG allows a user to generate both original and novel forms of Islamic geometric motifs (a repeated unit of a pattern). PSG is generalized to generate n-fold Islamic geometric motifs in a 3D environment, practically implemented as a 3D modeling tool within Autodesk Maya. The parametrization within each grammar rule is the key to generating numerous original and novel Islamic geometric motifs.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114820452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has two kinds of themes. One is that young people are used in part as criminals, but they do not notice because they have poor knowledge of the social system. The other is the Japanese-specific tuning principle. In which, for the last 100 years and still continues today, in general, national character is often controlled and influenced by others despite Japan being a democratic society. Our visual novel warns about these problems and others that may be hidden inside ourselves, through entertainment.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133955592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such information worlds are called cyber worlds. We need a more powerful mathematical background which can model the cyber worlds as they are, and a finite automaton for implementing it as a computer system. We consider the Incrementally Modular Abstraction Hierarchy (IMAH) to be most appropriate to model the cyber worlds. We have developed a data processing system called the Cellular Data System (CDS) implementing IMAH. In this paper, we introduce a position information formula, which identifies the relative position of a specified factor in a formula, and its processing map, which obtains a sub-formula using the position information formula in CDS. This function is inevitable in the development of business applications where data have a fixed form, such as parts list data. We show the effectiveness of the formula by taking up a case study of component configuration information management in car manufacturing. In the case study, it is demonstrated that design component configuration information and manufacturring component configuration information are consistently managed even when component configuration frequently changes.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133027104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A distinguishing feature of the creative sector is its make-up of practitioners from a broad spectrum of disciplines. In addition, creative processes often benefit from the collaboration of partners. Established models and challenges of creativity are assessed and contextualized against the contemporaneous creative industries, which feature multi-disciplinary teams, supported by current technology. Crowd-accelerated developments and creative collaboration via social media are having a transformative effect on the creation, distribution, and exhibition of creative works. They are also having an impact on traditional art and design processes. Multi-user interaction enables location-based art works to be transformed into new kinds of interactive and dynamic experiences for global viewers. Current opportunities, issues and challenges that arise are discussed, and a number of questions are identified for further discussion.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"2014 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114641868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For example, there is a method to display augmented information and video information on a single display using augmented reality markers. However, this method needs the users to look in the display. In order to share same information among multiple persons, everyone should look at the displays that show the same image. Projection type augmented reality solves this problem. Projection type augmented reality is the method projecting augmented information on the surfaces in the real world using projectors. A projection type augmented reality proposes augmented information to the real world. Every person can share the experience within the environment. However, the method needs many preparation works and enormous energy for freely projecting images. It can work on only limited conditions, such as indoors or at night. Our research solves these problems. We propose a method that works in a head-worn type equipment using the method of projection type augmented reality. It recognizes an object from the camera images. It projects a mark that carries a little information onto a recognized object. There is an error on the position where the mark projected when the equipment moves. We decrease this error using precise measurements of angular velocity. We propose the method, the implementation and the experiments for evaluating the performance.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129430029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This tool monitors a physical sketchbook with a camera and analyzes a picture an the sketchbook, and a user can create 3DCG objects interactively by drawing a picture with physical color pens on the sketchbook. It is also possible to interact with the created 3DCG objects by touching the picture on the sketchbook or shaking the sketchbook. Our tool does not require drafts to color in, and a user can draw arbitrary pictures on a physical sketchbook. Interaction with 3DCG objects through a sketchbook is also originality of our tool. We improved our tool to realize more various shapes creation and interaction. We developed new methods to create 3DCG objects like toy blocks from a picture on a sketchbook. Our tool decides the way of piling up toy blocks automatically according to the shapes and colors of drawn objects on the sketchbook, and creates 3D objects made by virtual toy blocks interactively. It is also possible to interact with the 3D objects made by virtual blocks. When the user shakes the sketchbook, our tool would detect the movement of the 3D objects from a video sequence of the camera, and 3D objects made by virtual toy blocks would move and break into pieces. Our tool could use for entertainment, education, digital signage, and so on.","PeriodicalId":319492,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Cyberworlds (CW)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128753985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
