The EBMT architecture use (CSTs) and unknown word translation mechanism. CSTs consist of a chunk in source-language, a string in target-language, and word alignment information. For unknown word translation, we used WordNet hypernym tree and English-Bengali dictionary. CSTs improved the wide-coverage by 57 points and quality by 48.81 points in human evaluation. Currently 64.29% of the test-set translations by the system were acceptable. The combined solutions of CSTs and unknown words generated 67.85% acceptable translations from the test-set. Unknown words mechanism improved translation quality by 3.56 points in human evaluation.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Wrong allocation decisions increase the project’s risks as tasks have dependencies that are inherited by the distributed sites. Decision support can help make the task allocation a more informed and systematic process. The challenges in allocating tasks to distributed sites exist because of three distance dimensions between sites (geographical, temporal and cultural). An informed task allocation decision needs to consider these distances. Therefore, in this paper, we propose to integrate and semi-automate the calculation of an existing Global Distance Metric (GDM) into an architecture that supports executing cloud-based software processes. We analyze the potential of integrating the GDM into this architecture and identify the needed extensions to the architecture.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Therefore, since last decade the effort has been made to design and introduce a large number of communication protocol for WSN with given concern on the performance parameter of energy efficiency and still the key requirements within WSN domain, that how to incrementally expands the energy minimization consuming techniques of sensor battery. The other parameters include latency, fairness, throughput and delivery ratio. In this work, we propose a novel joint cooperative routing, medium access control (MAC) and physical layer protocol with traffic differentiation based QoSaware for wireless sensor network (WSNs). This is referred to as a Joint Routing, MAC and Physical layer protocol (J-RMP). By blending the classical layered approach and combining routing, MAC and physical layer functions, the proposed J-RMP protocol achieves a solution for energy efficiency in WSNs. Convention ally, the problem of energy efficient protocol design is considered independently at respective layer of protocol stack. This paper has taken a holistic approach of finding solution by addressing the possible energy gain in Routing, MAC and Physical layer together. Firstly, it is seen that communication path with the large number of short hop substantially minimizes energy consumption. This phenomenon is used while instantaneous network information is collected with minimum overhead through the control packets for selecting next hop. Based on the updated network knowledge the next hop neighbor is chosen with reduced control overhead. Further, we describe how J-RMP protocol uses the approach for finding the constrained shortest path for forwarding packets [1], which results in load balancing in WSNs and provide mathematical analysis of node forwarding path determination within network. Finally, we compare our proposed method with existing protocols by ns-2 simulator and confirm that J-RMP outperform in some cases in term of sensitive traffics. The experimental results have proved that the traffic load has been balanced to a certain traffic, and energy efficiency has been achieved by properly adjusting the applied theory. The outcome supports the theory, and proves the effectiveness of our proposed scheme. This kind of protocol should have significant implications for various WSNs application where energy constraint is the main point of concerns.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. The layered strength and functionality collaboration is commonly considered as one of the most promising techniques for dealing with the given challenge to increase the duration between recharging battery and improve energy efficiency in order to prolong the sensor nodes and network lifetime. This paper presents a novel Intelligent Cross Layer QoS-aware Protocol (I-XLP) with traffic differentiation for WSNs for monitoring applications which has been done by addressing cross layered, cluster-less and application specific design. The target application is building monitoring. The novel concept behind this paper is that, by leveraging classical layered approach and blending different layer functions our proposed protocol I-XLP achieves a solution for energy efficiency and latency for the case of building monitoring applications of WSNs. This is done by combining the strong functionalities of Medium Access control (MAC), Routing and Congestion control. The proposed protocol is energy efficient and the protocol ensures lower latency for the prioritized traffic. Our proposed I-XLP is simulated by using the network simulator (ns-2). The simulation results corroborate the theoretical idea, and verify that the proposed I-XLP transmits more data with less delay and its energy consumption compared with existing protocol achieves optimum energy efficiency.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. This is due to multi-dimensional nature of the decision making process, multiple evaluation criteria, and subjective and imprecise assessments. To effectively deal with this issue, this paper presents a multicriteria decision making method for evaluating the performance of recoverable end-of-life products in the reverse supply chain. The multi-dimensional nature of the performance evaluation process is handled in the context of multicriteria analysis. Linguistic terms approximated by triangular fuzzy numbers are used to tackle the subjectiveness and imprecision of the performance evaluation process. A new algorithm is developed for producing an overall performance index for every recoverable end-of-life product alternative across all performance evaluation criteria. A recoverable end-of-life products’ performance evaluation problem is presented for demonstrating the applicability of the method.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Therefore there leaves a gap of the refinement from the strategic business planning to ubiquitous services implementation in the API (Application Program Interface) economy. Recently Gio Wiederhold attributed this gap to the knowledge difference between economists and the IT professionals and proposed that IT professionals should act to fill the gap since they have irreplaceable data, information and knowledge concerning the specific implementation. As an instance of this guidance in the practice of Value Driven Design, we proposed a systemic formalization from the value calculation to the design quality measurement which binds the modification and change on the design artifacts with the business value strategy through a framework of managed quality properties in a service design process covering data, information and knowledge assets.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. There are many problems when designing an efficient storage engine for cloud-based storage systems with strict requirements such as big-file processing, lightweight meta-data, low latency, parallel I/O, deduplication, distributed, high scalability. Keyvalue stores have many advantages and outperform traditional relational database in storing data for heavy load systems. This paper contributes a low-complicated, fixed-size meta-data design, which supports fast and highly-concurrent, distributed file I/O, several algorithms for resumable upload, download and simple data deduplication method for static data. This research applies the advantages of ZDB an in-house key-value store which was optimized with auto-increment integer keys for solving big-file storage problems efficiently. The results can be used for building scalable distributed data cloud storage that support big-files with sizes up to several terabytes.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Whereas, the problems of complex model, low stability, low flexibility, etc., existing in walking planning of biped robots, attract interests of many researchers. This paper proposes an adaptive omni-directional walking method with fuzzy interpolation (OW-FI) applied to a fast-stable omni-directional walking. A new separated omni-directional walking method consisting of straight walking, based on the improve Hermite interpolation, and rotation is designed to simplify the walking model and achieve a good key frame data selection. The mapping relationship between poses and actuators’ angular speeds is then constructed by walking transforming model based on kinematics. In order to implement a stable and adaptive walking, a fuzzy approach to walking parameters adjustment is presented, where the step length and rotational speed of omni-directional walking are controlled fuzzily. The results of simulations and experiments demonstrate that the proposed method has better properties in adaptability and stability than the competing methods.","PeriodicalId":318936,"journal":{"name":"Int.
