The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, which relies on studying the reality or phenomenon as it exists indeed, describing it accurately, qualitatively or quantitatively.The study was applied and the data were collected through a tool (questionnaire), which consisted of 33 items. The questionnaire included three domains; the obstacles of the students themselves, the academic supervisor’s obstacles, and finally the difficulties associated with the practical training institutions. The answers to each paragraph were graded according to a Likert scale.The data were analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) 23 program, based on some statistical methods to describe the study variables as frequencies, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation. Analysis of differences tests were used, such as the (Two Way ANOVA) test, to figure out if there were significant differences between the averages of more than two groups and their relationship to the dependent variable, and Wackernbach coefficient (Alpha - Choronbach) was used to calculate the stability coefficient.","PeriodicalId":31806,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education","volume":"21 30","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138966270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teachers play a key role in contributing to the development of technologically proficient individuals in the field of IT. However, it is found that there is a lack of integration of technology in teaching and learning mainly because teachers face various challenges in implementing technology in pedagogy. Hence, this study aims to discover teachers’ challenges and issues in integrating technology in the National Type Tamil School (NNTS)’s classroom. This study adopts a quantitative research approach using a questionnaire. A total of 31 NTTS teachers from across the country participated in the study. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the demographic characteristics of the respondents and the challenges faced by the NTTS teachers. The results of the study indicate that the level of teachers' skills and knowledge in technology is very high. However, the readiness of students and support from Parent-Teacher Association and Non-Governmental Organizations were found to be unsatisfactory. This study also suggests that school administration, Parents Teacher’s Association (PTA), and the Ministry of Education should focus on the challenges faced by teachers and take various measures such as providing professional development training and facilities such as adequate access to the internet and computer facilities for both teachers and students.","PeriodicalId":31806,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education","volume":"48 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138967373","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many actors are providing education to children with disabilities in the Northwest Region of Cameroon (NWR) but little is known about their human resource capacities. Based on these premises, the necessity to fill the gap, motivated this action-based research aimed at identifying the human resource capacities available for inclusive education practice in the NWR of Cameroon. A mixed method design was adopted for data collection and analysis using a comprehensive survey and in-depth key informant interviews. The data analysis grounded on a human rights perspective focused on human resources available, including special teachers, mainstream teachers, different stakeholders and training for inclusive education. The findings show that there is disaggregated information related to human resource capacities for the implementations of inclusive education in the NWR and diversified human resources with each stakeholder implementing to the best of their individual abilities and a wide gap in collaboration amongst stakeholders. The study thus proposes strategies to enhance collaboration that is crucial for IE to succeed and concludes that there is need to build an institutional framework for collaboration that will help to harness the diversified practices. A CoP developed as a result of this research has for the past 3 years implemented 80% of the key findings. The research thus serves as an empirical baseline for projects related to inclusive education and also for researchers and stakeholders interested in the development of inclusive education in Cameroon. This study analyses desktop screens recorded by thirdyear students in a web programming course at Kindai University in Japan, categorizes the problems, and proposes content and methodological improvements for learning through online lectures. The results of the experiment revealed that (a) the students watched the lecture video at half the screen size, (b) it was difficult to rewind the video, and (c) even though students faced difficulties in completing the task, they decided not to ask questions and worked on the same problem for more than 30 minutes. While most previous studies have used questionnaire-based surveys, this study demonstrates that instructors viewing recorded desktop screens of students can identify issues that students may not be aware of on their own.","PeriodicalId":31806,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135470163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Geography is an applied science that over the centuries has shown an evolution both in terms of the objects of study and the way of studying the objects it deals with. Technological development has led its study from the statics of the classroom, the map and the globe to the study of the use of digital tools and applications. Societies have now become Geo-Information Societies gaining ground against those with mere knowledge of geography. Citizens are now required to have specific skills and qualifications. Whereas the post-pandemic era has given rise to online learning. However, despite the importance of online learning ODL adoption and challenges remain unpacked. The challenges among ESL university students are more compared to other developed countries, as Pakistan is an underdeveloped country whereas the ODL issues are more significant. This study has focused on the ESL students and the data gathered insights regarding their overall views of ODL from the semi-structured interviews with undergraduate students. Thus, the investigation focused on the real time challenges of ESL students and their experiences in the adoption of technology and the challenges of the ODL environment as well as their experiences and perceptions connected to the emerging technologies in the use of the ODL environment. The results revealed that the students faced challenges such as power shutdown, unaffordable internet packages, infrastructure, a lack of technology acceptance, a lack of innovation and traditional pedagogical methods and network issues. Most of the ESL students observed that ODL was challenging for them since they had a great deal of interruptions at home, which impacted their concentration, and comprehension of the lessons as well. Therefore, the study concluded that the ESL students are partially ready for ODL, and that more time is needed to adapt to the emerging technologies which require compassion, inspiration, and a great deal of effort.","PeriodicalId":31806,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136378581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
