Qualitatively drawing on current research and theoretical perspectives, the study examines the responsibilities of learners, educators, and institutions in creating an ethical language learning environment. Through in-depth text reviews, the paper highlights the significance of ethics in language learning and emphasizes the need to prioritize inclusivity, cultural understanding, and effective communication in educational settings. It discusses the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, embracing linguistic and cultural diversity, and promoting respect and a sense of belonging. The study further explores the ethical implications of cultural understanding, emphasizing the development of cultural competence, intercultural communication skills, and the navigation of potential misunderstandings. It underscores the ethical aspects of effective communication, including empathy, active listening, clear communication, and the responsibilities of learners and educators in addressing power dynamics, biases, and promoting equitable participation. Additionally, the paper examines the ethical use of language learning resources, emphasizing the representation of diverse cultures, accuracy, and responsible technology use. It emphasizes the responsibility of learners and educators in critically selecting appropriate materials and fostering an ethical and inclusive language learning environment. Overall, this study contributes to the ongoing discussion on the ethical dimensions of language learning, calling for the prioritization of inclusivity, cultural understanding, and effective communication in order to create an ethical language learning environment that promotes respect, empathy, and intercultural competence. Sequential thought follows a linear, cause-and-effect pattern, while nonlinear thought involves a more complex, holistic approach. The discussion draws from various philosophical and scientific perspectives to analyze the nature and significance of these cognitive processes. The paper argues that nonlinear thought is essential for a comprehensive understanding of reality, particularly in the domain of metaphysics. By highlighting the limitations of sequential thought and the benefits of nonlinear thought, the paper aims to contribute to the development of a more sophisticated and nuanced framework for metaphysical inquiry. Today we are far from the original values of the sport and the ideals of Baron Coubertin, from fair play as a pure game. Perhaps the best in the sports segment is fraud, fur and doping scandals. There are some attitude tests in the international literature to measure sportsmanship, fraud, fair play, which are internationally validated questionnaires and/or scales. Our present work is intended to present the first quantitative results of a comprehensive, larger-scale research. In our study, the results of the Multidimensional Sportspersonship Orientation Scale (MSOS-25) (Vallerand, et.al, 1997) and the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) (Davis, 1983) are presented. Research questions: What significant differences can be detected between men and women on each subscale? How do young people relate to sportspersonship and empathy? Does school type and sport participation significantly influence this? What is the relationship between each scale as a function of age? Both questionnaires were completed by 1208-1208 people. 59% of the respondents studied in higher education and 41% in public education in primary or secondary schools. In terms of gender ratio, 46% were boys and 54% were girls. Only Kenyan state-funded institutions participated in the sample. Based on the results, it can be said that the adaptation of the questionnaires was successful for MSOS-25, Cronbach alpha had a value of 0.742 and for the IRI test was 0.886. Age is not a differentiator factor for either questionnaire, however, gender and school type already show significant differences. Keywords: MSOS-25, IRI, sportsmanship, fair play, empathy, cultural adaptation, Kenya.","PeriodicalId":317935,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Philosophy and Ethics","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135959049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study used a phenomenological design to articulates the ethical issues surrounding COVID-19 vaccine mandates in Tanzania. The goal was to recreate pandemic experiences and learn from it so as to best prepare ourselves for future pandemics. One important lesson about vaccine mandates is to recognize value pluralism and not to reduce all things that matter to either a single or only two values, say consequential or deontological values. This implies that not only several values have roles to play in public health decisions, but also that some values are not reducible to a common super-value when considering policy options. Then, according to whether it does exist in reality to distinguish different definition domains, all the knowledge is divided into three parts: natural science (materialism), metaphysics (idealism) and mathematics. The contents contained in the metaphysics can be called as the truths, which have existed only in order to the existence of the natural science. The characteristic of the truths is that they cannot be proved by empirical methods, and can only be gradually approached by repeated practices. The principle of seeking limits in mathematics was abstracted from the physical processes of ascertaining the truths. And mathematics runs throughout both of the natural science and metaphysics, it has helped us to break through the bondage of finite thought by the way of infinite subdivision, from the quantitative change in real space has gone deep into the qualitative change of ideal realm. It not only has achieved the unity of opposites of all the knowledge, but can also make reasoning under the premise of mutual restriction according to have the characteristic of continuity. As a result, metaphysics has been translated into that neither divorced from practices, nor just observed objective things with a one-sided, isolated and static way of thinking. This is precisely where the bright spot of the article lies. Between the truths, which can only be reasoned through the continuity of objective things in reality, and can produce logical causalities, but cannot deduce out any contradictory state, nor can there be any chronological order. For example, a rational explanation is firstly given for the disagreement of \"whether matter is the first or consciousness is the first.\" The philosophical question of \"which came the first, chicken or egg\", is explained in passing. In addition, it was also found that in Einstein's special relativity there was a paradoxes, which was to use one truth (the principle of constant light velocity in vacuum) to overthrow another truth (the absoluteness of simultaneity). After inspection, it is determined that the value c of light speed in vacuum has been replaced with the value v of real light speed. Here lay Einstein's mistake precisely. At last, his \"principle of relativity\" has been modified rationally.","PeriodicalId":317935,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Philosophy and Ethics","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122287859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
