Makalah ini membahas hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung antara kinerja CSR dan efisiensi investasi. Dengan menggunakan perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2013-2017, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan dianalisis dengan regresi berganda. Hasil pertama menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan dengan kinerja CSR tinggi berinvestasi dengan lebih efisien. Analisis dilanjutkan dengan membedakan dua alternatif situasi: underinvestment dan overinvestment. Berfokus pada perusahaan yang kurang berinvestasi, kami menemukan bahwa kinerja CSR meningkatkan tingkat investasi perusahaan melalui pengurangan asimetri informasi. Sebaliknya, untuk perusahaan yang berinvestasi berlebihan, kinerja CSR mengurangi kelebihan investasi melalui mitigasi masalah arus kas bebas. Secara keseluruhan, temuan ini menunjukkan peran CSR secara tidak langsung memperbaiki efisiensi investasi tingkat perusahaan dengan mengatasi masalah keagenan serta masalah asimetri informasi.Kata kunci: Tanggung Jawab Sosial Perusahaan, Efisiensi investasi, Biaya keagenan, Asimetri informasi.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89268009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike value relevance, the predictive value of other comprehensive income has not been extensively addressed in the literature. We conduct the first study examining the predictive value of other comprehensive income and its disclosure to prove that not only fair value as relevant information, but also other comprehensive income reflecting the changes of fair value. We use hand-collected data taken from the financial reports. This study employs a panel regression model to test the ability of other comprehensive income and its disclosure to predict firms’ future performance. The results confirm that as relevant information, other comprehensive income and its disclosure have predictive value. In addition, other comprehensive income which interacted with disclosure of other comprehensive income resulted predictive value only for one year ahead. Furthermore, other comprehensive income components which belongs to fair value level 1 and 2 have predictive value because it uses market-based input. Meanwhile, other comprehensive components which belong to fair value level 3 only have predictive value for one year ahead because it uses unobservable input that can lead to higher subjectivity.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88707738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study employs 97 Indonesian manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2011-2015. Multivariate Tobit and Logit are employed to estimate the model. The result confirms the bird in the hand theory that FISs need assurance of their investments in the emerging market. FIS has a monitoring role over the firms since they have the ability to detect the firm’s quality and the agency problem within. The result confirms that the presence of the FIS in the firm has a positive and significant effect on both measures of corporate payout policy, dividend to net income and dividend to total asset. The presence of the FIS increases the propensity of the firm to pay a dividend.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"51 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79531949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample used was a manufacturing company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange from 2013-2018. The results show that the three risk factors of the Fama-French model apply consistently to explain the variation in stock portfolio returns in developed markets. For the portfolio of shares in the emerging market, model Fama-French does not consistently assess stock portfolio returns. This research also provides empirical evidence that accounting information contained in book-to-market risk factors is only retained earnings, which has a contribution to the valuation of stock portfolio returns. The results of this study indicate that investors in developed markets are more rational and knowledgeable than emerging markets.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"83 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80720293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Preliminary researches have tested various ways of mitigating budgetary slack practices, which did not separate the effects of positive and negative feedback. This study hypothesized that positive feedback minimizes the potential for budgetary slack under conditions of information asymmetry—and vice versa. Additionally, high self-efficacy reinforces positive feedback in reducing budgetary slack under conditions of information asymmetry—and vice versa. By employing experimental data, this study documented the results that positive feedback significantly minimizes (the potential for budgetary slacking under conditions of information asymmetry—and vice versa. However, there is no difference in the average budget slack on managers with high or low self-efficacy, who get positive feedback.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78123659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

(2) To explain the application of the income tax laws to large trading subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. (3) To explain the differences between commercial profits and fiscal profits after a fiscal reconciliation (correction) is made to a large trading subsector company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (4) To explain the comparison of compliance rates of large trading sub-sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016 -2018 in the Income Tax ActThis research was conducted on large trading sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016 -2018. Samples used in this study were 6 companies. Samples were selected using the purposive sampling method. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive non statistic which functions as an analyzer of the collected data.The results of the study show that in the large trading sub-sector companies that have been analyzed, there are parts of deductible expenses to be used as non-deductible expenses, there is a lot of reserve fund fertilization so that it cannot reduce fiscal profit and there are companiesthat have participated in tax amnesty so that they get a profit on tax that should be owed. Related to the phenomena presented in the background of the study, the tax revenue from the wholesale trade sub-sector is not only from Income Tax Article 22 Imports, but from aspects of costs that cannot reduce fiscal profits (nondeductible expenses) included in Article 9 of the Tax Law Income so that the more costs that cannot be reduced in fiscal profit, the greater the tax burden owed. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the mediating role of ESG disclosure has a negative effect on CEO overconfidence and firm risk, especially based on investors' perspectives. Many studies on ESG disclosure were conducted in Europe and America. Most ESG disclosures are measured using manual checklist based on annual reports or firm websites. By using panel dataset of 225 manufacturing firms in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand from 2012-2016 obtained from Thomson Reuters’ ESG score, the research shows that CEO overconfidence has no negative direct effect on firm risk but the role of ESG disclosure as a mediating variable has a negative effect on CEO overconfidence and firm risk. CEO overconfidence has a positive effect on ESG disclosure and ESG disclosure has a negative effect on firm risk. CEO with overconfidence characteristics will make the best decisions to disclose ESG in order to increase firm value and reduce firm risk.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83109517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Auditing is one of the professions vulnerable to ego depletion, which is a temporary state of lack of cognitive resources to self-control caused by physical or psychological fatigue. Data were collected via online survey on 121 auditors in Indonesia who were selected by convenience sampling. The results showed that interpersonal conflict positively affected ego depletion. In line with ego depletion theory, the results supported previous research that ego depletion negatively affected JDM quality. Interestingly, this research also found that the level of industry-specific experience reduced the effect of ego depletion on JDM quality. In conclusion, psychological problems had a more significant influence on auditor cognitive resources than physical problems, which could then have an impact on his/her performance in generating judgments and decisions.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86869322","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study also seeks to investigate the role of stakeholder groups (primary, secondary and regulatory stakeholders), by analyzing the sustainability disclosures of 224 primary sector companies among the five emerging markets in Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Philippines in the year of 2016. The extensive disclosure index was also employed to assess each disclosure item under the GRI G4 Guidelines. The results revealed that the quality of sustainability disclosure is still low. In this regard, Thailand turns into the country with the highest score, followed by Malaysia and Indonesia. Labor practice aspect becomes the most expressed aspect by the companies, followed by environmental and social aspect. Based on results obtained, it is therefore argued that employees, auditors, mass media, and regulators have roles in encouraging companies to enhance the quality of sustainability disclosure. However, this study does not find a significant influence from the shareholders and international consumers. The contradictory result was found from creditors, conveying that they possess a negative influence on the quality of sustainability disclosure.","PeriodicalId":31764,"journal":{"name":"JAKI Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia","volume":"21 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81070269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
