Lombok, an island in Indonesia, experienced a series of devastating earthquakes in 2018, resulting in heavy casualties, severe damage and economic repercussions. This research focused on the Cupek community in Sigar Penjalin Village, North Lombok Regency, who demonstrated their resilience and survival capabilities in the aftermath of the earthquakes. Despite limited external assistance during the initial hours following the earthquake, the community swiftly activated their resilience capacities, relying on their social capital and collective actions for support and recovery. This research aims to examine the most significant resilience capacities implemented by the community and explain the process of activating them. This research used the concept of social capital to analyze how the community mobilized their resources and abilities, which ultimately ensured their survival during the initial emergency response. The theoretical framework, data collection and methods of analysis were elaborated and followed by the presentation of specific findings for Cupek. The implications of the research as well as its practical applications for emergency responders and planners were also discussed. The main objective of this research is to enhance the understanding of resilience in small communities, particularly emphasizing the importance of social capital in the context of disasters. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach using studies cases. The observation technique employed participant observation by becoming a member of Ikatan Muli-Mekhanai Kebandakhan in Pekon Kedaloman (local youth association). Then, interviewing the head of the organization and village officials to find out about the actualization of Sakai Sambayan local wisdom values. This study indicates that understanding the concept of Sakai Sambayan itself influences the actualization of local wisdom values in young people. Through understanding these life principles, young people have a culture of shame if they do not participate in community activities. The actualization value of Sakai Sambayan among the youth of Kedaloman can be seen in their various efforts to actively participate in the community activities, such as community service, religious activities, and the preservation of the cultural heritage in Pekon Kedaloman.","PeriodicalId":31637,"journal":{"name":"Aristo","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42454022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pos Indonesia launched a special edition of PRISMA stamps to welcome Baliphex 2022, uniquely on PRISMA stamps there are symbols of ‘Wayang Kamasan’ painting (Balinese) and Mahabharata story (Indian) initiated by PFI. Researchers view that the special edition PRISMA series road to Baliphex 2022 is not just proof of payment and an event promotion tool, but as has meaning in each of the symbols that reflected Balinese and Indian culture. This study aims to reveal the representation of Balinese and Indian cultures in the PRISMA series Road to Baliphex 2022. We use Roland Barthes' semiotic method with units of analysis of denotation, connotation, and mythology. The results show that Balinese culture in PRISMA's Road to Baliphex 2022 series is structured through Mahabharata in Wayang Kamasan symbols, Baliphex events, and stamp elements that have denotative and connotative meanings. The mythology that appears in the PRISMA series Road to Baliphex 2022 is the myth of Hinduism, which is the belief of the majority of Balinese people. Hinduism mythology is structured through the symbolization Saput Poleng, Flags of Kober, Merdah and Tualen, Horse Carts, Big Trees, Ornaments, and Temples. The Hinduism mythology in the PRISMA series Road to Baliphex 2022 is not assembled through a single cultural representation, but with cultural hybrids from Mahabharata (Indian) and Wayang Kamasan (Balinese). This research contributes to the thesis statement that postage stamps can be used by the community as communication media to represent a certain ideology through a series of symbols with cultural hybridity.","PeriodicalId":31637,"journal":{"name":"Aristo","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47232247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BTS's first win at an international music award event made many people hate BTS. This has an impact on BTS fans, namely ARMY. ARMY felt a lot of blasphemy from BTS haters because they considered cheating in BTS' winning results. The worsening condition of the ARMY's mental health led one ARMY to form a social movement organization with a focus on improving mental health, namely the ARMY Help Center. With the same identity, a collective identity is formed to voice the importance of mental health.
