However, it is logical to assume that a single Cloud Service Provider (CSP) may not be able to satisfy the request of multiple Cloud Service User (CSU) as it may not have infinite resource in its Data Center (DC). Hence, resource bargaining or negotiation among CSUs and CSPs shall ensure optimal management of resources considering CSUs needs. In this paper, we propose negotiation based resource allocation to analyze percentage of successful job executions and resource utilization. Further, the proposed work paves the way for enhancements in performance of Cloud applications.","PeriodicalId":315265,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Innovative Practices in Technology and Management (ICIPTM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129249274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advancement of new applications in the cloud brings on an increase in load on servers. In addition to the many studies conducted in the province of Cloud computing, it still has to face some provocations, such as load balancing(LB) that require further upgrades and models for better performance and to achieve maximum user satisfaction. In this paper, we have discussed about the Machine Learning Techniques used to build VM teams according to their CPU. Deep Learning (DL) techniques are used to achieve QoS which implies improving of resource utilization and deployment; while reducing delays, response time and costs, balancing the load on all equipment, therefore, increases system reliability. This paper contains a comprehensive overview of a few machine learning as well as deep learning based algorithm on load balancing.","PeriodicalId":315265,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Innovative Practices in Technology and Management (ICIPTM)","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128819134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These phenomena can be seen in the case of a railway ticket service also. A well-drafted model is needed for the management to comprehend the circumstances better. This paper centers on a single server queuing model in which the arrival process is a Poisson process and the service times follow an exponential distribution or a constant. In this work, we have studied queue management at a railway ticket counter with a single server. For this, we have collected data for one week from an NSG-3 category railway station and analyzed the data to find the pattern of arrival and service distribution. It has been seen that performance measures and service distributions of neither of the queuing models M/M/1 and M/D/1 conform to reality. So, we propose an approach to apply the mathematical queuing model more efficiently for such systems. We have used an M/G/1 model in which service time is calibrated based on a normal distribution. Based on the data collected from an NSG-3 category railway station for a day, a normal distribution is fitted for the service rate and found that the fit is good statistically. It is found that the resulted performance measures show significant conformity with the observed field data.","PeriodicalId":315265,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Innovative Practices in Technology and Management (ICIPTM)","volume":"45 10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128388691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AI which might simulate human cognitive behaviour is likely to supplant human leadership. AI may thus redefine the role of leadership in organizations as AI progressively performs new intellectual tasks by replacing human intelligence. While, human limits of domain knowledge and experience restrict decision making, AI with its superior information processing abilities aims at overcoming cognition and complexity. Executives accept that AI will impact workforces as routine and logic based tasks become automated, leading to an increase in demand for EI skills. Even though AI is yet to replace skilled professionals, EI is what machines will remain deprived of. However forging of data, technology and emotional intelligence might be crucial to build an effective decision. HR professionals, policy and decision makers thus intend to leverage potential of AI technologies while seeking ways to offset the negative impacts of AI systems. The study proposes that in this era of technological leap, unprecedented disruption and ambiguous change; effective leadership needs to be redefined. Thus if, business functional domains seek any competitive advantage from AI, they would essentially need it to be coupled with EI.","PeriodicalId":315265,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Innovative Practices in Technology and Management (ICIPTM)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116283192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Normal people generally do not learn sign language to communicate with hearing/speech impaired people. Also, every time these differently abled people cannot keep a human translator with them. This makes a communication gap between normal and hearing/speech impaired people. So to bridge this gap, various sign language translators and recognition techniques have been developed which are discussed in this paper. Also, through various researches done in this field, a general classification of these sign language translators and recognition techniques have been made, as per the taxonomy discussed in the paper, in a tabular form along with the literature review.","PeriodicalId":315265,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Innovative Practices in Technology and Management (ICIPTM)","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122053214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
