In this paper, we present a new network interconnection structure for data centers, which leverages largely low-cost commodity Ethernet switches to support the full aggregate bandwidth of the network. Our approach requires no modifications to the end host network interface, operating system and exhibits graceful performance degradation as the switch failure rate increases. This property is of special importance for data center network. Experiments in our test bed demonstrate that our approach is fault tolerant and load balancing and it significantly accelerates representative bandwidth-intensive applications.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126515640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, as creating a wizard requires a lot of work, the automation is limited on common tasks. In this paper, we propose an automated approach to wizard generation by recording and mining user actions. We record the actions of users in background and learn the common steps of performing tasks by machine learning approach. After that, we synthesize the mined information to generate a wizard automatically. In this way we can generate wizards not only for common tasks but also user-specific tasks. We have implemented our approach as an Eclipse plugin and have evaluated its effectiveness by comparing with existing Eclipse wizards.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123100563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As telecommunication operators widely deploy wireless mobile communication networks, the public can access network services if they are within the wireless signal range of mobile base stations. Therefore, a mobile device with computing process ability can allow access to an ubiquitous network via mobile communication network. The Android platform released from Google allows users to modify source code freely, hence facilitating the development of software applications and improving user interface and performance. Such free authorization can safeguard developer’s rights, and thus, it has commercial value. Based on the Android mobile phone, this study proposed the design and implementation of LBMMPS (Location Based Mobile Multimedia Pusher System), which pushes incident multimedia content to friends online in real time. The user can share incident videos, photos, and messages with other friends online in real time. By integrating GPS coordinates of incidents into Google Map, users can indicate the location where an incident occurs via a map interface. LBMMPS records the location of a moving trajectory of a special incident, and shows the incident’s movements on the map.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"13 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116127598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And the measurement on the super-high network bandwidth is one of the most important works in the process of evaluating the completely new developed massive storage system. However, sometimes we can’t find a single node available to produce sufficient load to test such a high-speed bandwidth, with this situation of single node’s limitation, based on TCP protocol, we propose a new and simple strategy, which uses multiple nodes to produce high bandwidth load by constructing a cluster, to test the high-speed bandwidth parallelly. This paper demonstrates the feasibility of this strategy and analyzes main parameters of TCP protocol which affect the link bandwidth significantly by a series of experiments, at last we also put researches on the performance boost of bonding NICs with multiple NICs in single node. Finally, we give a solution to implement the high-speed bandwidth measurement.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124795308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among different kinds of operating costs, lowering manufacturing cost brings the most significant effect. Among different manufacturing processes, not only the correctness and efficiency during producing products, but also those losses and expenses result from critical exception of product quality should be considered. The paper proposes a PDCA-based system for handling exception management process after critical exceptional events occurred. By facilitating managers to convene Material Review Board (MRB) meeting of critical exceptions, to manage and trace actions, and to constructing exception handling knowledge base, recurrence rate can be decreased after the efficiency of exception handling process is enhanced. Moreover, with completely recorded losses and costs, managers can manage enterprise resources in a more efficient way.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"257 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132037441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Distributed XQuery queries based on a global XML view can search heterogeneous data seamlessly, being distributed in the local systems. One of the basic and simple methods to process distributed SQL queries is that generates local SQL queries for processing a distributed SQL query and constructs the result of the distributed query from the results of the local queries. Therefore, it is natural to consider how the method for distributed SQL queries can be applied to processing XQuery queries. However, the syntax of XQuery differs from SQL because the XQuery contains some special expressions like FOR clauses for querying to semi-structured data. Therefore, this paper defines some problems to generate local XQuery queries for processing distributed XQuery queries and proposes a method for generating local XQuery queries considered these problems. We also implement a distributed XQuery query processor using our method.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129888217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, based on the principle to shrink the search space by deleting these nonrelative nodes and edges to the utmost, and utilizing the ant algorithm, this algorithm generates for each destination node a directed sub-graph of the network topology, in which each node owns a bounded out-degree, and then merges all these sub-graphs into a new directed graph, which serves as the new search space. After these, the algorithm applies the simulated annealing algorithm on the new space for the optimization, and can finally obtain a multicast tree satisfying the constraints. The performance analysis and simulation results have demonstrated that this algorithm can effectively construct a multicast tree with the delay and delay variation constraints while presenting a lower time complexity than the current ones, which means a much better result would be achieved when the system scale rises greatly.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125913256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Composition of web services is a concept of integrating individual web services to conduct complex business transactions based on functionality and performance constraints. To simplify composite web service development, technologies of quality of service (QoS) based web services composition (QWSC) are widely used to build complex applications by discovering the best-fit web services. In this paper, a web service composition system is proposed based on our previous study, a Relaxable QoS-based service selection algorithm (RQSS), to demonstrate its feasibility and performance as well as to share the experiences of developing a web service composition system. The proposed system is compatible with WS-BPEL standards, which can be used for composite web application development through intuitive graphic user interfaces. The experimental results show that the proposed relaxable web composition system performs well with notably improvement for application availability and reliability.","PeriodicalId":315132,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129608189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
