Drawing on the social field concept, the central argument posits that the perceptions of the three groups are shaped by their respective positions and interests concerning adult learning and education (ALE). The research methodology includes an analysis of university curricula and qualitative surveys based on the model of the problem-centred interview (PCI). The results show inter-group differences and intra-group congruence. University professors support the idea of launching an independent andragogy study program but have different visions of the implementation model. Policy makers and practitioners show less awareness of the need for such a program and for different reasons. To so bili tudi začetki oblikovanja andragogike kot samostojne znanstvene discipline v Sloveniji. Razvoj izobraževanja odraslih pa se v Sloveniji ni začel šele takrat. Bil je odvisen od organizacij, združenj in institucij, delujočih na področju izobraževanja odraslih, od družbenih razmer in okoliščin, pobud in zgledov, upravnih in političnih struktur ter odločevalcev, strokovnih in drugih srečanj ter posvetov, projektov in akcij, gibanj in usmeritev, koncepcij in stališč zavzetih in dovolj razgledanih posameznikov. This paper aims to present the andragogical thought, legislative framework, and andragogy study programme in Croatia. The need for the university education of andragogues stems from research results that indicate many employers prefer highly educated staff in this field. Despite periods of crisis and societal transitions, andragogy has demonstrated remarkable resilience, remaining relevant and influential in the educational landscape. The current study program at the Department of Andragogy at the University of Belgrade is depicted at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. By analysing master’s and doctoral theses, and published scientific papers, the paper provides insights into the prevalent issues and topics in the field. The findings underscore the impact and relevance of andragogy in Serbia and suggest its future prospects. Raziskava je zgodovinska analiza. Namen kvalitativne raziskave je prikazati, kako se je razvijalo institucionalno in množično izobraževanje odraslih po posameznih obdobjih, kakšen je bil vpliv družbe na izobraževanje odraslih ter na razvoj andragoških idej in andragogike. Predstavljeni so najpomembnejše institucije, njihov namen, množično izobraževanje odraslih, nekateri posamezniki z andragoškimi idejami in prizadevanji za razvoj andragogike. Ugotovili smo, da je bil razvoj izobraževanja odraslih po obdobjih različen, odvisen od razvoja družbe, gospodarstva in politike. Andragoške ideje zasledimo konec 18. stoletja in v 19. stoletju. V začetku 20. stoletja nastanejo prvi zametki teorije izobraževanja odraslih. V drugi polovici 20. stoletja pa se iz družbenih potreb po novih znanjih, strokovnjakih ter iz raziskovanja prakse izobraževanja odraslih razvije nova znanstvena disciplina – andragogika. Uporabljena je historična metoda opazovanja skozi oči akterjev, vpletenih v snovanje in razvoj profesionalizacije izobraževanja starejših na Slovenski univerzi za tretje življenjsko obdobje. {"title":"Uvajanje in razvoj Andragogike na Filozofski fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani in v Sloveniji","authors":"Ana Krajnc","doi":"10.4312/as/13503","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4312/as/13503","url":null,"abstract":"Prvi slovenski strokovni knjigi o teoriji izobraževanja odraslih sta iz dvajsetih let prejšnjega stoletja, ko se je pedagogika vedno bolj osredotočala na šolsko pedagogiko. Takrat sta Karel Ozvald (1927) in Franjo Žgeč (1923) v svojih knjigah utemeljila potrebo po izobraževanju »širokih ljudskih mas«. Minilo je skoraj pol stoletja, ko je izobraževanje odraslih dobilo znanstveno osnovo, svojo vedo. Razvoj študija andragogike je potekal v treh fazah. Na Oddelku za pedagogiko Filozofske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani smo predavanja andragogike uvedli pred 50 leti, leta 1973. Leta 1976 so pod vodstvom predstojnika Vlada Schmidta na Oddelku za pedagogiko nastale tri študijske usmeritve: šolska pedagogika, domska pedagogika in andragogika. Končna faza razvoja študija andragogike se je oblikovala v okviru evropskega programa PHARE, ko se je v študijskem letu 1993/94 ob podpori več profesorjev andragogike z različnih evropskih univerz začel izvajati enopredmetni študij andragogike z nazivom diplomirani andragog. It applies the historic method mixed with elements of theoretical and comparative research. The paper starts by describing extended time periods in which the term andragogy was not yet in use. Then it sheds light on attempts to establish andragogy as an independent scientific discipline that seeks to cultivate adult individuals by means of (not exclusively) learning and education. The subsequent section pays attention to the recent period in which Czech andragogy lost some of its previous ambitions. Thus, the paper shows the main shifts in approaches to andragogy as well as the differences between the dominant approaches in the Czech and Western (European) contexts. Its aim is to present the constitution, development, and system of andragogy in Slovakia by means of a historical analysis and based on that analysis, the discovery, recognition, and interpretation of facts from the scientific works of the most important representatives of andragogy. The concept of andragogy as an integral part of the educational sciences began to take shape in Slovakia in the 1990s in the new social and political conditions. This process was based both on the traditions of adult education in Slovakia and on the theoretical foundations of adult pedagogy, mainly the works of foreign representatives of andragogy. The paper presents and discusses the systematisation of andragogy, the content definition of general andragogy, and the basic and applied disciplines of andragogy. The paper draws on data from 22 interviews with graduates of three master’s programmes with a focus on adult education at the Universities of Würzburg, Belgrade, and Florence. Based on this data, the reasons for participation include academic, career-related, personal, social, and language-related aspects as well as external circumstances. These reasons indicate starting points for adult education programmes to promote the engagement of their students with international, intercultural, and global perspectives.
