This study aims to investigate students’ views toward physics representations while solving physics problems by involving preservice physics teachers of two universities in Kalimantan Barat. A physics representation survey was developed to measure students’ perception about physics representations. The results show that the majority of the students (above 75%) agree that representations are beneficial for them to understand physics problems and physics concepts and also to find out the best solution of a problem. Some of the students say that they remain provide representations while solving a problem even though there is no extra credit given by instructors. The learning model compared were NHT(Numbered Head Together), snowball throwing and convensional. The type of the research was a quasi-experimental by 3×1 factorial design. The population was the eight grade student of junior high school in Cibinong district on academic year 2017/2018. The sampling tecnique was cluster random sampling. The size of the sampel was 103 students consisted of 36 students in the first experimental group, 34  students in the second experimental group and 33 students in third experimental group. The instruments used were mathematics achievement test. The data was analyzed using unbalanced one-way analysis of variance. The research method used was experimental design (quasy experiment) with comparative group of pretest-posttest group design. Data collection techniques that will be done are measurement techniques in the form of students' thinking skills tests and surveys in the form of student and lecturer responses to the lectures are held. Physics education student semester 4 academic year 2016/2017 will participate as research subject. The results showed that the increase (N-gain) of students' thinking skill in experimental class was 0,70 and control class was 0,40 (both medium category). By using Paired Sample Test obtained tcount = 8,338 at significance level P = 0,000. The population of this study is the 1st semester ICT Education students consisting of 2 classes totaling 79 students. Determination of the sample using Cluster Random Sampling technique, the sample used in this study is 1 class, namely class A Morning. The research method used is the experimental method. Learning outcomes data were taken using cognitive test instruments using multiple choice tests. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes before applied learning using simulation media amounted to 49.32 with a standard deviation of 14.45 and the average student learning outcomes after applied learning using simulation media amounted to 81.28 with a standard deviation of 14.63 . From the results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs test, Zhitung is 1,009 which is smaller than Zttable which is equal to 1,645. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after being given learning using simulation media on the material of motion kinematics. But the reality in learning, still found learning problems about the low learning activities and student learning outcomes. While as an educator, lecturers should be able to know the problems in the learning process or lectures as an effort to improve the quality of learning. Solution to overcome the problem is by giving learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach (CTL) through observation method applied in Basic Ecology subject.The purpose of this research is to improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject through learning with CTL approach and observation method. Expectations from the results of this study is as an information or input that the strategy and learning model with the method of observation can overcome the lack of activity and low student learning outcomes caused by the dominance of female students and the diversity of high school students so that the classroom climate is often noisy and reduced concentration at the time of learning. This research is experimental research, with one class of experiment of Biology student of FKIP Univet Bantara Sukoharjo second semester of class of 2016/2017 taking Basic Ecology subject. The data were collected using observation and test sheets. Technique of data analysis using T test analysis. From the analysis with T test Paired sample for two groups of dependent or pairs on pretest and postes data obtained Asymp results. Sig (2 -tailled) below 0.05 is 0.00 then Ho is rejected. This means that there are significant differences in learning outcomes before (pretest) and after CTL learning with the method of Observation (postes) in Basic Ecology subject especially on the subject matter of Population and Bird Diversity. Thus, it can be concluded that learning CTL with Observation method can improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject especially material Population or bird diversity. Hal ini merupakan hambatan dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SMAN 1 Sigli, maka perlu menerapkan IT dalam model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Metode quasi experiment dengan pretest posttest, control group design yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sigli tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pemilihan sampel dengan teknik random sampling, memilih 2 (dua) dari 5 (lima) kelas yang terdapat di SMAN 1 Sigli. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan soal tes untuk melihat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai 85% kategori tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol hanya 65%, hasil pengujian hipotesis didapat thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,61 > 1,68. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT dalam pembelajaran fisika terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Model PBL berbantuan IT dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran untuk membuat peserta didik lebih aktif, namun terdapat kelemahan pada kegiatan merumuskan masalah dan berhipotesis. Kata Kunci: PBL berbantuan IT; fluida; hasil belajar. Abstract As one of the schools implementing the 2013 curriculum, SMAN 1 Sigli is required to use IT in improving learners' learning outcomes. This is an obstacle in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in SMAN 1 Sigli, it is necessary to apply IT in the learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of IT assisted PBL model on student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. Quasi experimental method with pretest posttest, control group design implemented in SMAN 1 Sigli in academic year 2016/2017. Selection of sample by random sampling technique, choose 2 (two) from 5 (five) class which is in SMAN 1 Sigli. The data was collected using test questions to see the effect of IT assisted PBL model on students' learning outcomes on static fluid materials. The result of the research shows that the students' learning achievement reaches 85% high category in the experimental class and the control class is only 65%, the result of hypothesis testing is tcount> ttable is 2.61> 1.68. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is influence of IT assisted PBL model in physics learning toward student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. The aim of  this research was to determine the best activator of avocado seed powder as an adsorbent to reduce peroxide and free fatty acids of the used cooking oil. This research used the variation of activators, consist of  hydrochloric acid (HCl), citric acid (C6H8O7), sodium chloride (NaCl) and sodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HPO4) solutions. The result showed that the best activator of avocado seed powder by HCl which gave the highest free fatty acid reduction was 0,26%. Meanwhile, the best activator of avocado seed powder by C6H8O7 which gave the highest peroxide value reduction was 1,8 Meq/Kg . This study aims to solve the difficulty using a learning strategy of Note-Taking, Discussion, Reflective (NDR). Specifically, the purpose of this study is to implement the NDR strategy for increasing students' learning outcomes. The research design is classroom action research. Methods of data collection include observation, tests, and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of Note taking-Discussion-Reflective strategy can increase the learning outcomes through the implementation of 2 research cycles where in each cycle there are three stages, namely, planning, action, and reflection. The average scores increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 by 4.2% and a minimum score of completeness of 75 has been achieved in cycle 2. The implementation of learning was at a good and excellent level during cycles 1 and 2. This research is an R & D research that adopts the development of Borg &Gallyang has been modified by Sugiono. Subjects in this study are students class VIII SMPN 5 Bandarlampung, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung and MTS Al-Huda JatiAgung with data collection instruments used in the form of questionnaires given to material experts, media experts, educators physics junior high school to test the quality of media learning and questionnaire response learners to know the interest / response of learners to learning media developed. The type of data generated is qualitative data which is analyzed by guidance criteria of rating category to determine product quality using Likert scale. The results of this study are; 1) Produce a pop-up box product as a learning medium; the product quality that has been developed is \"very feasible\" with percentage based on expert material appraisal, 89,67% by media expert equal to 89,77% and educator of junior high school with percentage equal to 91,11%; 2) Student response conducted with small group trial and VIII class trial in 3 (three) schools with 95.47% feasibility percentage and field trials in 3 (three) schools each at SMPN 5 Bandarlampung 92,54%, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung 95,50%, and MTS Al-Huda JatiAgung 93,6%.Keywords: Research and Development, Learning Media, Pop-Up BoxAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk; 1) Mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa kotak Pop-up berbasis problem solving sebagai media pembeljaran fisika; 2) Mengetahui kemenarikan media pembelajaran berupa kotak pop-up berbasis problem solving sebagai media pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D yang mengadopsi pengembangan dari Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Sugiono. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 5 Bandarlampung, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung  dan MTS Al-Huda Jati Agung dengan instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket yang diberikan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, tenaga pendidik fisika SMP untuk menguji kualitas media pembelajaran dan angketr espon peserta didik untuk mengetahui ketertarikan/respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis data yang dihasilkan adalah data kualitatif yang dianalisis dengan pedoman kriteria kategori penilaian untuk menentukan kualitas produk menggunakan skala Likert.
