The research is qualitative and based on cultural anthropological research standards. The population used in this study consisted of 15 members of a community enterprise group in Nongpaen Sub-district, Kamalasai District, and Kalasin Province. A purposive sample of 185 people was selected. Research tools include interviews and group discussions, descriptive data analysis, and analysis. Collect data from a collection of relevant documents and ideas to present guidelines for the development of the University to Tambon (U2T) project’s grassroots economy. The results showed that: 1) community learning for essential economic growth starts with figuring out how to deal with problems; community leaders will work together to combine lessons and come up with joint solutions, and 2) community learning initiatives increase the foundation economy’s capacity for productive community enterprise growth. Three variables were discovered to have an impact on the operation: production variables, quality variables, and marketing variables. The public or private sectors must build and support the foundation economy to be stable and sustainable and promote product knowledge. The neighborhood can become independent in terms of marketing and product quality.","PeriodicalId":314203,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational Issues","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132761277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

About 30 million people in Turkey are interested in digital games and spend their free time in this way. Considering the Z generation, a significant portion of these users are high school and university students. There are even high school and university students who continue their professional careers as e-athletes. Determining why the Z generation prefers digital games and sports as a career or an important tool to evaluate their spare time can contribute to the e-sports literature. In this context, the aim of the research is to understand the motivations of generation Z to play digital games and to contribute to the e-sports literature. In the research, 335 digital game users were reached on the internet with the convenience sampling technique. In obtaining the data; Demir and Hazar (2018); Digital game playing motivation scale developed by the company was used. In the analysis of the data, the scale dimensions were compared according to the demographic characteristics of the sample (gender, education, age and income, daily and annual playing times) using variance analysis and significant differences were determined. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that men have a higher motivation to play digital games than women, those with a high school education level are more motivated to play digital games than those with a university education level, and there is no significant difference in the motivation of playing digital games in the age group from other age groups. As a result, the motivations of the Z generation to play digital games were examined and suggestions were made to the e-sports industry and literature as a result of the differences in demographic characteristics. However, much more can be done to help us understand the underlying psychological processes involved in the motivation of young players, particularly in terms of passion and flow experiences.","PeriodicalId":314203,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational Issues","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116413962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between pre-season body composition and physical performance parameters of collegiate American football players. 23 American football players (age: 22.3±3.1 years, height: 180.6±5.6 cm, weight: 94.2±16.9 kg) voluntarily participated in the study. The body compositions of players were determined via Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) device and countermovement jump (CMJ), 10 and 40-yard sprinting and pro-agility tests were applied to evaluate physical performance. Pearson Correlation analysis was used to determine whether there was a relationship between body composition parameters and field tests. As a result, a statistically significant negative correlation (p < 0.05) was found between body fat percentage (r = -.736; p < .001) and body fat mass (r = -.717; p < .001) with CMJ. A statistically significant relationship (p<0.05) was found between body fat percentage (r = .622; p < .002; r = -.759; p < .001) and body fat mass (r = .595; p < .003; r = -.736; p < .001) with 10 and 40-yard sprints respectively. Body fat percentage (r = .659; p < .001) and body fat mass (r = .638; p < .001) also correlated with pro-agility. Our results support earlier research by showing a direct correlation between body composition and power attributes and performance in American football. Coaches were advised to pay attention to body adiposity in terms of a decline in physical performance for this reason.","PeriodicalId":314203,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational Issues","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114992365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Material and Method: In this research, the single group pre-test post-test model which is one of the trial models was used for the purpose of determining the causal relationship. The study group is composed of 43 sedentary volunteer students (nMales = 9, nFemales = 34; age 20.86±1.04 years) pursuing their education at the Emergency Medical Technician Program in the Vocational School of Health Services at the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The heights and body weights of the study group are measured and they are asked to fill out the “Personal Identification Form”. The 10-week physical activity program was explained to the students. For the purpose of determining their levels of depression before and after the physical activity, the “Beck Depression Inventory (BDI)” was used, and to measure their psychological development, the “Psychological Well-Being Scale (PWBS)” was used. The descriptive statistics were provided. Later on, the normality assumption was checked out. In the consequence of this assumption, the researcher decided to conduct the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The data is tested at the level of significance of α = 0.05. The researcher obtained permission from both the related institution and the ethical board. Results: The BDI pre-test results of the students indicate that the male students had minimal level of depression (0-9) and the female students had slight level of depression (10-16). In terms of the study group, while the students were found to have slight level of depression in terms of their BDI pre-test scores, it was observed that the students had minimal level of depression in terms of their post-test scores. At the same time, the scores of the pre-test and post-test PWBS score increased from 49.89 to 53.33 for males, and from 41.94 to 43.94 for females. In sum, those scores increased from 43.60 to 45.91. A significant difference (p < 0.05) in both BDI and PWBS between the pre-test and post-test was observed. While the depression levels of the students decreased, their psychological well-being levels increased. Conclusion and Suggestions: The 10-week physical activity program caused an improvement both at the levels of depression and psychological well-being. Therefore, sparing some time for physical activity is suggested for our psychological health on a daily basis. Do not forget: “physical activity is going to benefit people”.","PeriodicalId":314203,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational Issues","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130747325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The participants were 58 mathematics teacher students at a university in Thailand. The instruments in this study were a test; this was called the Calculus Achievement Test (CAT), which consists of limits and continuity; a derivative of function; and its application; and a questionnaire with an interview with a student. The statistics for qualitative data were gathered from instruction; we used percentages, mean scores, standard deviations, and a one-sample t-test; while quantitative data was gathered from students’ reflections and interviews. The results showed: 1) the results of the one-sample t-test show that using GeoGebra Software in Calculus is effective in students’ performance; 2) the data, the quantitative findings show that students were more interested and excited during the intervention. Students could better show their creativity and learn about themselves because of the intervention. Teaching calculus with GeoGebra embedded is a good and effective way to do things. The finding shows a good chance of developing technology-integrated math curricula for teaching and learning calculus.","PeriodicalId":314203,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Educational Issues","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117073017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
