It is mostly applied in developing countries and even though it brings some convenience for both sides, it also has downsides. Especially, the extra cost of the system for institutions and additional congestion created during peak hours due to the wrong optimization of the service routes are huge problems that can be fixed by proper applications. Moreover, such an optimization would create huge benefits in general because of the extensiveness of the application. Besides some of the employees have complaints about the arrangement of the services which results in private car usage in the long term. The purpose of this study is to optimize the personnel service system in a systematic way and additionally, to combine the system with public transportation to be able to obtain a new approach. Therefore, the first method optimizes the routes whereas the second method gives a new suggestion for the system. The data of the study is obtained from the current personnel services of Boğaziçi University. During the process, the Geographic Information System (GIS) is utilized to investigate all possibilities. The study showed that both of the offered methods results better than the conventional approach by improving personnel welfare, congestion during peak hours and transportation habits.","PeriodicalId":313803,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Analytics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129850276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is necessary to give priority to the issues that are more important while making improvements to this process since all improvements cause cost increase. Therefore, a new analysis is needed in which the most important ones among these criteria will be determined. The purpose of this study is to identify the most essential items for renewable energy transition. Within this context, five criteria are selected based on the literature review results. Spherical fuzzy (TOPSIS-based DEMATEL) TOP-DEMATEL methodology is taken into consideration to calculate the weights of these indicators. In the second part of the study, alternatives are ranked with Spherical fuzzy ranking technique by geometric mean of similarity ratio to optimal solution (RATGOS). In this context, BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) are selected as alternatives. The main contribution is that a new method (RATGOS) is created while considering geometric mean in proportional concepts. On the other side, a new methodology (TOP-DEMATEL) is also proposed to overcome criticisms in DEMATEL. It is concluded that technological development plays the most important role for the success of renewable energy transition. Similarly, finding effective financial source is also very important in this condition. The ranking results also demonstrate that China and Russia are the most successful countries regarding renewable energy transition. However, it is also defined that South Africa and India are less successful in renewable energy transition in comparing with other BRICS countries. It is understood that technological development plays a critical role in increasing the efficiency of the renewable energy transition process. Thanks to the use of up-to-date technology, it is possible to use energy resources more efficiently. Technological developments are also necessary for the efficiency of energy storage processes. Variations in climatic conditions cause irregularities in the energy production process. Thanks to the efficient energy storage processes, it is possible to solve this problem.","PeriodicalId":313803,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Analytics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128721064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The repercussions of a business strategy on the entire supply chain remain uncertain until it is implemented. Utilizing simulations offers the opportunity to gauge performance before implementing the strategy. The primary aim of employing supply chain simulation is to analyze the effects of different strategies on profit enhancement and cost reduction across all supply chain tiers. This research paper has formulated a discrete event simulation model using Arena software to evaluate and enhance the operational efficiency of the detergent supply chain. The problem involves multiple levels and commodities, encompassing four manufacturers, two intermediate storage warehouses, and four main distributors following an (s, S) inventory control approach. Shortages are permitted, leading to a partial loss or back-ordering of products. The overarching objective is to minimize the overall inventory costs within the system, accounting for holding costs at each tier, managing shortages, and the expense incurred due to lost sales. A range of scenarios are developed to set control parameters, with the evaluation of supply chain performance falling into two main categories: financial and operational considerations.","PeriodicalId":313803,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Analytics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114918268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study is to analyze the financial performances of energy companies traded in the Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index in Turkey comparatively using trend analysis and multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). For this purpose, the changing values of accounting-based performance indicators over the years have been compiled from financial reports. The data were first evaluated by it was analyzed by Hesitant Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (HFTOPSIS). Then, it was analyzed by trend analysis for each variable separately. Comparative results show that MCDM rankings based on fuzzy set theory are different from analyzes performed alone. In addition, there is no study in the literature examining the financial performance of energy companies in Turkey based on the sustainability index.","PeriodicalId":313803,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Analytics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123287687","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With these hostile conditions, only those organizations that demonstrate better performances in comparison to their rivals can survive. They can outperform their rivals regarding financial, procedural, and internal operations. To this aim, two variables, organizational culture, and knowledge management, play crucial roles. On the one hand, organizational performance hinges on the in-depth storage of experience, creation, and classification of knowledge. On the other hand, they are under the impression of social and cultural variables of the organization. Among these items, knowledge management is also under the influence of organizational culture and is capable of taking a mediatory role in organizational culture performance. Thus, this research is aimed at exploring the mediatory role of knowledge management in the relationship between organizational culture and performance. Simultaneously exploring these two factors can give new insight into organizational performance under the social and knowledge variables and extend the literature in this area. To this end, each of the three factors was investigated through library study and defined as factorial constructs. Afterward, their relationship was modeled, and the model was under effect in Etehad Rah Engineering Advisory Company as the research’s Statistical Society. A simple random method was used; 28 persons constitute the research’s participants. A questionnaire and PLS software were used to collect and analyze the data. The results reveal a positive and significant relationship between organizational performance and culture directly and through knowledge management. Moreover, a positive and significant correlation exists between organizational performance and knowledge management and organizational culture and knowledge management.","PeriodicalId":313803,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Soft Computing and Decision Analytics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127176261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
