Many scholars believe that a confluence of local and global forces have generated complex problems, which call for new approaches to problem solving. Previously, the top-down approach relied entirely on the knowledgeable elite. Communities were seen as passive study subjects and information flow was one way only- from knowledgeable elites to the less knowledgeable community agents or community-based organization acting on behalf of communities. The objectives of this study are to provide a review of governance as a means of organizing community action to address community problems in the Black Belt Region (BBR) of the Southeastern United States, and an assessment of community problems in the BBR from the perspectives of community-based organizations (CBOs). Data was collected from CBOs via a telephone survey in eleven Southeastern states and via listening sessions conducted with CBOs in 9 Southeastern states. The study provides valuable insight regarding the challenges faced by these organizations and strategies they employ in adapting to serve their communities.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"31 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79272688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is our main goal to analyze some of the current contents of many initial courses of Statistics as they should be changed and be updated immediately. A very important point to take into account is that this type of course is usually in some cases the first and sometimes the only course of statistics that students see during their degree training. We have the responsibility to offer the best and most up to date material, thus fulfilling the premise that universities should always be at the forefront of knowledge.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"48 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89824417","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to achieving consensus, the most important result of RM is the retention of customers. However, it has not been theorized and discussed in terms of the effect of service innovation on the quality of relationships. This study empirically identifies the important service indications in marketing, i.e., customer value, satisfaction, trust, and loyalty and the developing path among these indicators. Additionally, thestudy also shows that good customer experience, quality of interaction, and innovative services can strengthen the path to developing customer loyalty.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85805562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employee satisfaction for the internal social network is regularly determined by the Net Promoter Score (NPS). The determined NPS represents the central performance indicator for the platform, which is communicated to the management. The values determined for the NPS were not satisfactory in the past. From an economic point of view, high investments were made for the integration of the platform. In addition, six-figure costs are incurred annually for operation and software licenses. Therefore, the improvement of the NPS is in the focus of all participants. Through user experience tracking and derivation of driver factors it is possible to find out which factors have the most significant influence on employee satisfaction in order to identify appropriate measures to improve the NPS.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"129 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77892661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since 2015, the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) has already carried on in Thai-Malay border. The present study was conducted by using a 2-phased-mixed-methods, aiming to assess the level of CR and preparation and to develop community health management model prior to SEZ in Sadao district, Songkhla province. Data were collected by questionnaires in 450 local people by simple random sampling. An in-depth interview followed by a focus groups discussion was then performed in purposive selected 150 participants, during December 2017-April 2018. The data was finally analyzed by descriptive statistics and content analysis. Overall community readiness scores ranged from 5.85 to 7.01 on a 10-point scale. The mean readiness score, 6.28 (SD = 0.44) corresponds with an initiation level of readiness which referred to an action plan is established, and early steps are being taken by leadership to address the issue. Main features of the health management model for SEZ was established by community stakeholders as following: (1) community participation (2) network strengthening (3) knowledge and management (4) communication and (5) healthy public policy approach. These findings indicated that they display a slightly high of CR level. In the next step, targeted capacity building activities will be promoted to archive the health model to SEZ for sustainability.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"85 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75197193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Achieving a performance advantage while not causing destructive effects is the new challenge. Consequently, considering the UN's sustainable development goals (SDGs), this study investigated how environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) could contribute to a better financial performance for multinational companies. Due to the ecological, economic, and social consequences of business (Mebratu, 1998) it has never been more important for society to lean towards sustainable practices (Brune, 2016). As new challenges emerge, new concepts of how to deal with them evolve, including the concept of “sustainable development” as a foundation to management thinking and descision making. Private businesses are a key component in acheiveing the UN's desired sustainable view, as they can help to fill the $3tn annual investment gap expected to be needed across the next 15 years (Earley, 2016). As a generation, millennials have a critical role to play in achieving a sustainable furture. Millennials are the next group of business thinkers and decisions makers. Based on research conducted by this study, eight out of ten London based millennials acknowledged the private sector has a critical role in helping to achieve a sustainable future for all. However, fewer than three in ten millennials actually believe that private businesses will take action, instead continuing to place their short-term profitability mindset ahead of sustainability (Tuffrey, 2016). With a world population of 50% under the age of 30 (WEF, 2017), and with millennials continuing to become more conscious of trends which affect the planet and their future, the expectation of businesses to act sustainably seems to be rising. This study confirmed a multitude of ways to increase business performance sustainably, such as driving sales by targeting consumers’ increasing willingness to pay a premium for sustainable goods. A questionnaire supported this approach by confirming that 9 out of 10 millennial Londoners acknowledged that action on climate-change should be the responsibility of both individuals and private businesses. However, a smaller amount, only 4 out of 10 millennials surveyed, were willing to contribute by shifting their purchasing-behaviour, to more sustainable products, if prices were higher. Further to this, if a product was found to be unethical, the data collected showed 75% of millennials would take action by looking for a competitor or leaning towards an alternative (30% of those surveyed). Consequently the results suggest millennials expect the private sector to step up and deliver sustainable products at competitive prices in order to truely help.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"59 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89121846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, the performance of hunger elimination and poverty reduction in Vietnam has gained impressive achievements in accordance with proposed Millennium Development Goals. However, the efficiency of microfinance service for the poor is still inadequate. Together with success in the innovation of legal framework, microfinance market becomes busy but in a muddle, with the principles in which the market is still governed by subsidiary lending mechanism. In addition, Vietnam microfinance system is still at a start in comparison with the regional and international standard. In place of competition as the dominant relations of economic entities comes partnership and cooperation. Education is now viewed as an activity. The pursuit of learning is primarily the emergence of human's inner humanity, a person’s artificializing and in this sense, the whole education and the development are only applicable to that person. The resource of education is education itself. It is based on two austerities — diligence (industry) and discipline. There are several laws of activity arrangement. In return for this insurance policy, the insured pays a contribution at the beginning of the coverage period, while the insurer may have to provide a service if a certain type of damage occurs during the period in question. While the insurance market acts both on the insured by being able to induce him to terminate his insurance contract, in the case of excessive prices to those of other insurers, and on the insurer by forcing him to a certain extent to make his insurance premiums tolerable. It therefore appears that the insurance premium risk threatens the competitiveness of insurers on the insurance market and the termination of policyholders at the end of the contract term. By choosing to work on automobile insurance market, which is becoming increasingly competitive, as precise premium pricing is a major challenge for each insurer. The aim of this work is to study the sensitivity of insured persons to positives changes in automobile insurance premiums at the end of the contract.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83388877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
