In the other hand, the Lisbon Strategy aims to turn Europe into the most competitive area of sustainable growth in the world and it is considered that the Territorial cohesion policy should contribute to it. This paper is structured by a descriptive language while deduction method is used. It refers to official documents, strategies, agendas and reports, as well as books, articles and assessments related to topic. This paper covers all of two Territorial Agendas as well as the background of territorial cohesion thinking and setting process of territorial cohesion policy.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"61 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76683959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The literature highlighted a lack of pertinent research into the effects company acquisitions have on consumer-based brand equity (CBBE), especially what impact and consequences there may be on a brand that is acquired by another. This report investigated the overall acquisition process and proceeding effects the process had on an organisation’s CBBE. In order to achieve an in depth understanding, a case study approach was used. Here Rapha Racing Limited (RRL), a UK based up market manufacturer of cycling clothing and accessories for road riders, was explored. RRL was cited as it had recently experienced a £200 million acquisition by two heirs of the Walmart family. Primary research within the case took the form of surveying RRL consumers, interviewing RRL employees and a senior professional, who has been involved in numerous, high value company acquisitions. This multiple perspective approach allowed an insight into how RRL managed their brand throughout the acquisition and whether RRL managed to match, misjudge or exceed consumer brand expectations. This report found how RRL steadied the ship through a clear internal communication strategy with complete transparency between leadership and staff. However, it was found that RRL failed to apply the principle of transparency in their communications with consumers. The paper concludes that careful consideration of the acquiring party, protection of current business culture and systems as well as transparency with existing customers are vital components in controlling an organisation’s brand equity with an acquisition event.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"38 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84035497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And business organizations use this interest and engage their users through donation or charity campaigns, sponsorships, or projects to support a particular cause or community in need. But there are cases when publishing the information of social responsible incorrectly creates scepticism in people, and the company loses reputation and trust among the public and stakeholders as a whole. Specifically, according to the 2017 Spanish Cultural Statistical Yearbook, cultural tourism was the motivation for 16.8% of total trips within Spain taken by domestic tourists in 2016, and more than 12% of trips by foreign tourists visiting Spain. The valuation of the cultural heritage assets that attract tourists involves using, among other techniques, direct methods that account for potential visitors’ preferences. The aim of this research is twofold: first, to identify the socioeconomic profile of the tourists who visit Jaén; and second, to quantitatively assess, by means of the contingent valuation method, visitors’ willingness to pay for the services offered by a cultural heritage interpretation centre. The results of this case study confirm the tourism potential of the site.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"91 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72495606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fact is that more and more people are getting older and older and due to the increasing multimorbidity in old age more and more healthcare services are needed. But there are fewer and fewer professionals providing these services. This phenomenon can be observed both in the medical, nursing and social fields. The shortage of doctors and skilled workers that has become apparent in recent years — especially in rural areas — has led to hospitals, medical care centers (MVZ) and medical practices searching for qualified personnel to use the usual acquisition mechanisms (advertisements in daily and professional newspapers, recruiting staff) due to the unsatisfactory results. The alternatives require a high degree of pragmatism. This article demonstrates the importance of strategic alignment in HR marketing of rural medical practices and identifies concrete ways to retain existing employees and position them as an attractive employer for potential new employees.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76785853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using data from Japanese firms from 2006 to 2015, the firm life cycle is classified according to Dickinson (2011). The results show differences in disclosure levels depending on the firm life cycle. In the maturity stage, the amount of disclosure is significantly larger while, in the growth stage, the amount of disclosure is smaller. Additionally, there are differences in disclosure levels depending on the type of CSR information. Environment-related information has a significant influence in Japan. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in terms of governance and society. In Japan, stewardship codes have been introduced and reference those of the United Kingdom. For CSR-related information, disclosure should occur in accordance with laws and regulations, and information other than disclosure based on laws and regulations should also be addressed subjectively. The situation of firms has not been considered thus far. In the future, an appropriate disclosure strategy that considers firms’ growth stage would be employed to improve firm value.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87787552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gravity models were estimated for total of the exports and for each type of exports by levels of technological intensity, using the PPML-estimator. The study indicates that there is a process of concentration of Brazilian exports in low technology and medium-low technology products, at the same period in which China's share of total Brazilian shipments abroad grew. Estimates of empirical gravity models have shown that the income and size of the consumer market of Brazil’s trading partners seem to have the greatest positive influence on the Brazilian exports. Indications of this study are that the Brazil should continue to diversify its trading partners to minimize the impacts of a possible reduction of the economic growth of large trading partners (such as China and the US) on its exports and increase its exports of products with greater technological intensity. The results also highlight the need for Brazil to make greater efforts to increase its competitiveness in the international market to reduce the negative impacts of transport costs on the final prices of products exported by the country.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83178135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The intention is to use data of the firms that have to cease their activities due to bankruptcy. The most common method for bankruptcy model construction is multivariate discriminant analyses (MDA). It allows to derive the indicators most sensitive to the future companies’ failure as a parts of the bankruptcy model. One of the assumptions for using the MDA method and reassuring the reliable results is the normal distribution and independence of the input data. The results of verification of this assumption as the third stage of the project are presented in this article. We have revealed that this assumption is met only in a few selected indicators. Better results were achieved in the indicators in the set of prosperous companies and one year prior the failure. The selected indicators intended for the bankruptcy model construction thus cannot be considered as suitable for using the MDA method.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"97 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72631757","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We examined the competitive and complementary relations between travel to Cyprus and other well-established travel destinations in the Mediterranean basin. Because many package tours include several countries in their destinations within a given journey, and because individual travelers find it more advantageous to visit more than one country in a single trip, it may be meaningful to examine international travel within the contest of groups of countries rather than a single country competing for international travelers. Specifically, we provide an analysis of the competitive and complementary relations existing between the tourism sectors of Cyprus and that of Greece, Spain and Portugal for British travelers. We provide estimates of income and relative price elasticities based of export demand equations upon annual data from 1980-2016. We tested for the stationarity of the variables and derived estimates of the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). These tests confirm a strong association between the incomes of Britons and their decision to travel to Cyprus. Furthermore, we show the relative prices between Cyprus and other competing destinations in the Mediterranean to play an important role in determining British travel to Cyprus.","PeriodicalId":31279,"journal":{"name":"Kinerja Journal of Business and Economics","volume":"37 2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78339516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
