Estimation of frequency offset is becoming an important, urgent, and practical issue needed to be cared for, especially in multiple input - multiple output (MIMO) systems. The fact shows that an inaccurate frequency offset estimate will reduce the accuracy of other system parameter estimates, which diminishes the expected spectral efficiency of the MIMO antenna system. Regarding to this problem, two algorithm candidates are presented to estimate carrier frequency offset exactly in a MIMO system in this paper. While the first one focus on matrix algorithm, the second one which is more complicated is a subspace-based approach called MUSIC (MUtilple SIgnal Classification) to overcome the limit of DFT resolution.","PeriodicalId":311235,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129224604","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However as the development of networking technology, traditional manners are becoming insufficient to provide high bandwidth matching the real network, nor accurate statistics characteristic such as self-similarity. In this paper we propose the Network Traffic Simulation platform based on Network Processor (NTS-NP). The platform has achieved: 1) high bandwidth and real-time traffic generation; 2) high precision of self-similarity of the flow, which is now considered to be one of the basic characteristics of network traffic. In our platform, Cavium OCTEON CN3860 is chosen as the core in order to gain the ability of high speed packets assembling and transmitting, and direct control of the interface hardware. ON/OFF aggregation model is implemented to generate self-similarity and a discrete-event driven based algorithm is proposed to improve the traditional implementation of the model. We estimate the Hurst parameter of synthetic traffic by R/S statistics method and wavelet estimator. The validation of the platform is also empirically discussed and proved.","PeriodicalId":311235,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications","volume":"14 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122480572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This protocol, similar as 802.11i, adopts port-based access control and involves three entities in the authentication process. The three entities named in Chinese standard are ASUE (Wireless device), AE (Access Point) and ASE (Authentication Server). The WAI is composed of a mutual public key certificates authentication and a key-exchange agreement. We analyze the certificate authentication of WAI protocol using a finite-state verification tool and find that the authentication protocol can't resist the denial of service attack. Attackers can forge the messages to produce inconsistent keys in peers. Several amendments are discussed in this papers.","PeriodicalId":311235,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications","volume":"580 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116539970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Exploit the aliasing feature of sampled images, we propose a new technique to register exactly the motions between images, including rotations and shifts, by using only frequency domain phase-shift method. Based on registered parameters, the precise alignment of input images are done to create a high-resolution by using interpolation methods. It is more exactly when we compare our algorithm to other algorithms in simulation and practical experiments. The visual results of super-resolution images reconstruced by our algorithm are better than that of other algorithms. Quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) is employed and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is used as a transmission scheme. Block truncation coding (BTC) is used for the compression of the image. A comparison is made between uncoded system and BCH coding system. The performance of the system is assessed by the quality of the image for different sizes of BCH encoder, in three different environments. Simulation results showed that with BCH coding, the performance of the PLC system has improved dramatically in all three impulsive scenarios.","PeriodicalId":311235,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128153590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed filter is based on coupled Microstrip line with U-shaped defected ground structure (DGS). By introducing Embedded Open Stubs (EOS) into input and output feed lines, the UWB bandpass filter can get a band-notched characteristic at the appointed frequency band. Several compensatory lines are introduced to compensate the damage bringing by EOS. The test results show that 3 dB pass-band is from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz. The depth of the frequency notch is about −30dB at 5.8 GHz, which is deep enough to choke back interference from other wireless communication systems operating at the same frequency. The insertion loss in the pass-band is less than 1 dB (including the insertion loss of two SMA connectors).","PeriodicalId":311235,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121737146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
