The cavity in marine sediment is a habitat of decomposing organisms.  The research aimed to analyze the relationship between the fraction and porosity of tidal zone sediments in coastal of Teluk Penyu Cilacap. This survey method used sediment core samplers, sediments fractions used sieve method and the porosity used method of Reeve (1986), and analysis used software SPSS20. The results showed that tidal zone sediments in coastal of Teluk Penyu Cilacap were dominated by the fine sand with percentage when high water was higher than low water. Based on mean size diameter, sediment near Serayu river was found medium sand and far was fine sand. Based on linear regression, the relation between sediment fraction and porosity at high water and low water was obtained very weak, but when low water was found in opposite condition to the high water, that the greater of sediment diameter was smaller of porosity.  High porosity indicates a wider space between the sediments and allows more decomposing organisms. It is important to consider the results of the clearing of organic matter which affects to fish resources in coastal waters. Keywords: sediment fractions, porosity, teluk penyu","PeriodicalId":31102,"journal":{"name":"OmniAkuatika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47517559","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current velocities in both straits were studied by comparing outputs from the INDO12 physical ocean model simulation against observation results from the South China Sea-Indonesian Seas Transport Exchange (SITE) program. In general, the magnitudes of the zonal and meridional model current velocities are weaker than observations. Notably, the B1 and B4 moorings show uncertain model values most of the time. It is understandable considering that B1 and B4 moorings are located in a narrow strait (Gaspar Strait), near the coasts. Yellow eels always exhibited a strong and health when they were caught. However, mass mortalities always found during holding and culture period. Parasites was one of the obstacles of the eels aquaculture. The aims of this study were to observed the health status and parasites investation of eels along the migration pathway. Three capture stations namely Adipala, Sampang and Purwojati were appointed as a sampling sites. Thirty captured eels ranging from 25.48 cm – 28.92 cm were randomly selected at each sites during October to December 2018.Ninety eel samples demonstrated in a good health. Ectoparasites observation discovered that Trichodina was the predominant parasites. Further indentification revealed that they were belongs to T. matsu, T. domerguei and T. jandarica with prevalence rate ranged from 40% to 90%. Whilst Vorticella found at low prevalence and intensity namely; 6.7% and 0.2 respectively. The endoparasites nematodes obtained were Anguillicola and Spirocamallanus with prevalence rate and intensity 3.3%-6.7%, 0.03 – 0.06 and 13.3%, 0.13 respectively. Molecular identification of nematodes demonstrated that they were closely related to Anguillicola crassus and Spirocamallanus philppinensis with similarity 95.40% and 97.93% respectively. There were no genetically differences between two species Anguillicola crassus from Adipala and Sampang. From this study it can be seen that Eels migrated upstream were in a good heatlh. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of the RGB-LED light intensity with pulse width modulation PWM) value for gathering fish and changing patterns of schooling fish’s movement. Seven treatments with changes in PWM values were the initial conditions, 250, 195, 145, 95 20 and 5 PWM. The methods were by using Hydro-acoustic sonar 360o and ImageJ analysis used to determine the schooling fish’s area in horizontal and vertical by dividing the center zone, main zone, influence zone, and shadow zone. Results of the visualization image of schooling fish as the target fish group visualized by horizontally and vertically. It has the longest duration of 90 ' and 250 PWM has a time duration of 10' shows the difference in the area of schooling fish in four zones. 195, 145 and 95 PWM with each time duration of 10' dominant schooling fish were in the main zone and influence zone, the lowest two light intensities of PWM values were 5 and 20, there are three zones namely center zone, main zone, and shadow zone, schooling fish were increasing with movement pattern by revolving the light source at shadow zone. The approached fish were forming schooling fish because they were attracted to light, with changes in the PWM value that can model the movement patterns of schooling fish.","PeriodicalId":31102,"journal":{"name":"OmniAkuatika","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48089281","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Market demand for agar reaches 21.8% per year, but only 13.1% can be met. This is due to the low level of production of G. verrucosa in Indonesia. Utilization of G. verrucosa is still relying on aquaculture from the farm, which causes low production. Cultivation of seaweed with verticulture methods can increase the production of G. verrucosa. Karimunjawa is a potential area for seaweed cultivation. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of different density areas on the growth and production of G. Verrucosa and to determine the best density area for its production in Karimunjawa. This research used G. verrucosa wrapped in a mesh size of 0.5cm with a weight of 50g per pack. Each verticulture strap contains 4 packs and each treatment consists of 9 straps. The treatment was in the form of differences in the planting area of 25x25cm2 (A), 50x50cm2 (B) and 75x75cm2 (C). The results showed significant differences (P <0.01) between each treatment. The 75x75cm2 area has the best yield on absolute growth, relative growth rate (RGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) of 83.10 ± 4.12g; 3.96 ± 0.20% / day and 2.33 ± 0.07% / day. However, understanding of the molecular characteristics of EHP species in Indonesia is not widely known. The aims of this study were to determine the identity and characters of DNA, and their phylogeny of EHP species from several different locations in Indonesia with specific references to 18S rRNA gene. The EHPs were collected from cultured P.vannamei from Lampung, Pangandaran, Sidoarjo, Banyuwangi, Probolinggo, Blitar, Makassar, and Lombok. Thirteen (13) samples were randomly selected to explore their gene characters through 18S rRNA gene sequencing. The primers used were EHP_F and EHP_1R. Parameter observed were DNA sequencing, nucleotide sequence homology with related available genes in the Gen Bank database, multiple sequence alignment, and reconstruction of genetic relationship trees. DNA sequence homology analysis showed that all samples had 99.89-100% similarity to Indian Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (Accession Number MH259890.1 and MH260592.1). The alignment results illustrated that all EHP sequences of Indonesian isolates were 100% identical each other. The phylogenetic tree topology provided information that all sample accessions were in the same clade and spread evenly.
