The sample was consisted of 1581 students from ninetowns of Lahore. Sampling was done through area probability samplingstrategy. The data was collected by using translated and adaptedAcademic Efficacy Scale (Arooj & Ijaz, 2017), Academic Hope Scale(Arooj & Ijaz, 2017), and Academic Motivation Scale (Arooj & Ijaz,2017). Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis showed theexistence of positive relationship between academic efficacy, academichope and intrinsic and extrinsic academic motivation. StepwiseRegression Analysis displayed two models. In these models, academicefficacy and academic hope predicted intrinsic academic motivation andcontributed variance of 24% and 13%, respectively. Individuals try different coping strategies andapproaches to keep this stress at a manageable level. This studyexamined the stress coping strategies and approaches used by the schoolteachers in respect to their perceived level of stress. A self-developedquestionnaire based on COPE inventory was used to conduct this surveybasedexploratory study. A sample of 400 school teachers with diversebackgrounds working in both public and private sectors was randomlyselected from two district of Punjab. Mean, percentage and t-test wereapplied to analyze the data. The study found that 60% of the teachersperceived high or very high level of stress. Female teachers reportedmore stress than male teachers. ‘Turning to religion’, ‘positivereinterpretation’ and ‘planning’ to actively solve the problem are themostly used coping strategies. The majority of respondents usedproblem-oriented and emotion-oriented strategies. In Pakistan still this concept is in stageof infancy and has received little research attention. Moreover, HEIs inprivate sector are facing a lot of barriers and challenges in itsimplementation. In this backdrop, the purpose of this exploratory study isto determine the roles, barriers and challenges for development ofsustainable private sector HEIs in Punjab using semi-structuredinterviews form 11 faculty members working in private sector HEIs inPunjab, thematic analysis was carried out using NVivo 12. In general, allthe participants agreed that private sector HEIs are the knowledgecreating institutes and they can actively promote the sustainabledevelopment in Pakistan through faculty training and active involvementof all the stakeholders and action oriented research. Major barriers werefound to be lack of finance, poor research culture, faculty incompetencyand inadequate management support. Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design was used in thisexperimental study. All the school going children having OculomotorDysfunction and poor reading skills between the ages5-14 years atprimary level were population of this study. King Devick Pro Readingtest was run on the children with poor reading abilities to diagnose theChildren with Oculomotor Dysfunction. Children having percentile rankbelow 15 or below average accuracy on King Devick Pro Reading testwere diagnosed as Children with Oculomotor Dysfunction. 20 Childrenwith Oculomotor Dysfunction were selected from a pool of 50 Childrenwith Oculomotor Dysfunction using random sampling technique. Twocohorts (experimental and control) having 10 Children with OculomotorDysfunction each, were used in the study. The level of Visual FixationSkills of the children of both of the groups was analyzed sing NovaSoutheastern University College of Optometry Oculomotor Test. Thesubjects of experimental group underwent training of manual andcomputer animated visual fixation skills 50 minutes per day for 7 days aweek for 6 weeks. Developmentof understanding in Science requires the use of reasoning skills whichneeds to be inculcated among students. The aim of this study is to use thequestioning method to develop reasoning skills among seventh-gradestudents in science subject. The questioning method is a strategy whichcan encourage students to think and improve their reasoning skills. Twointact groups of seventh-grade students were selected randomly ascontrol and experimental groups. It was a three-month interventionwhich consisted of three phases. Separate pre-test/post-test was given foreach phase of the study. After the intervention, posttest scores of bothgroups for the three phases of the research were compared. Thesestandards focus on the quality of teacher preparation from this timeonwards; the present study was initiated to determine the needs of theworkforce who are already in the practical field and how they mayachieve the established standard. Therefore, in the light of the prescribedstandard “Instructional Planning and Strategies (IPS)”this articleinvestigated the levels of content knowledge of IPS possessed by theteachers in secondary schools; it further determined the difference in thecontent knowledge levels of urban & rural, male& female teachersregarding IPS. It was a survey type quantitative study with a populationspread of secondary school teachers (SSTs) working in the fourprovinces and Federal Capital. A multistage sampling procedure wasadopted to collect data from 400 SSTs belonging to the population area.The need of the in-service teachers for acquiring content knowledge ofIPS was gauged through a questionnaire based on seven indicators ofcontent knowledge given in the professional standards; the teachersfurther prioritized their training needs in these defined areas. Moreover,data triangulation was done to ensure the validity of the study. The indepthanalysis revealed that SSTs possessed different levels on eachindicator of content knowledge of IPS but a meager number wascompetent in it. This is anexperimental research conducted upon 50 eighth-grade Pashtun studentsaged around 12 and 13 years. The experimental group (n=25) was taughtan intercultural curriculum which included topics from the British culture(target culture) and Pashtun culture (source culture) in addition to theform of language. The control group (n=25) was treated traditionally inwhich the focus was on the structure and form of language. The pre- andpost-tests were administered to both groups. After comparing the meanscores of the tests, it has been found that the experimental group showedgreater improvement in their English language proficiency as comparedto the control group. It is recommended that topics from both the sourceand target cultures written in the target language be included in theEnglish curriculum. Further, training programs for language teachersshould include intercultural pragmatics in their syllabi. It wasfound from the literature that different aspects of creative writing can bedeveloped through communicative approach. The pretest posttestnonequivalent control group design, that is, Quasi Experimental designwas used. To carry out this investigation six classes from two schools,one public and one private, were selected to collect data for the purpose.206 students were conveniently selected for experimentation. There were33 girls and 173 boys in all the experimental and control groups. Fourtasks of the creative writing were carefully chosen from literature andwere pilot tested at a smaller group of students. After pilot testing, minorchanges were incorporated. The pre-test was administered to control andexperimental groups. Communicative lessons were delivered in theexperimental classrooms only. The same pre-test was used as the posttestas well. The creative compositions were evaluated in the light ofscoring rubrics. They were rechecked by relevant class instructors forinter-rater reliability. The data were analyzed using t-statistics and thesoftware SPSS. Results of the research showed that communicativeapproach had a noteworthy influence on the increase of creative writingskills among secondary level learners. The outcomes of the research areworthwhile for teachers, curriculum specialists, syllabi designers andpolicy makers. Present study was descriptive in nature. Population of the study comprised of all the 5404 teachers teaching in universities of Islamabad. 12% of teaching faculty was selected by using proportional stratified sampling technique. Questionnaire developed by Wilkes and Chapman (2015) was adapted as research tool. Findings revealed that tertiary level teachers were practicing reflection in-action and reflection on-action, using different tools of reflection, they practice reflection by examining others and own perspectives and question assumptions of others as well as their own related with their teaching. A significant difference was found among teachers by gender regarding their reflective practices. Male teachers were found better as compare to female teachers in their reflective practices. Through a multistage sampling technique, (N=213) dyads were chosen to support this empirical evidence to the theory. The paradigm of the study was positivism; quantitative method and survey design were used to collect data through two structured questionnaires Leadership level assessment questionnaire (for subordinates) and Pareto Principle questionnaire (for leaders). It was hypothesized that there was no significant relationship between the Pareto Principle and five levels of leadership proposed by Maxwell. The results of the current paper signposted that, “there was a significant relationship between the Pareto Principle and Five levels of leadership” Proposed by J.C. Maxwell. All the five stages were significantly correlated with the coefficient Pinnacle (r=.46), People Development (r=.37), Production (r=.41), Permission (r=.42), and Position (r=.46).
