Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelayakan dan efektivitas modul biologi berdasarkan model CPBL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Model pengembangan penelitian ini menggunakan Borg dan Gall. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode desain eksperimen sejati dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretest posttest. Dua kelas dipilih oleh sampel acak sederhana. Penelitian ini melibatkan 171 siswa, 85 siswa di kelas kontrol dan 86 siswa di kelas eksperimen. Analisis data deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis kelayakan modul dan uji-t digunakan untuk menganalisis keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan pengembangan modul memiliki hasil yang baik berdasarkan penilaian para ahli dan praktisi. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen (0,001), n-gain skor kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masing-masing 0,30 (rendah) dan 0,54 (rata-rata). Berdasarkan penelitian, modul ini lebih efektif daripada buku teks dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa.AbstractCPBL (Cooperative Problem-based Learning) model has several advantages such as students are challenged to solve existing problems, so that all students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills can develop. This research aimed to determine feasibility and effectivity of biology module based on CPBL model to enhance students’ problem solving skills.  This type of research is Research and Development (R & D). The development model of this research uses Borg and Gall. The research design uses true experimental design method with pretest posttest control group design. Two classes were selected by simple random sample. The study involved 171 students, 85 students are in control class and 86 students are in experimental class. Descriptive data analysis was used to analyze the module feasibility and t-test was used to analyze the problem solving skills. The results showed that the feasibility of the module development have a good results based on assessment of the experts and practitioners. Based on the t-test results, there are significant difference between control class and experiment class (0.001), n-gain score of control and experiment class respectively 0.30 (low) and 0.54 (average). The mind map was applied in four meeting with 27 second-grade senior high school students. Students were put in groups and each groups was assigned to design a mind map of skeletal system concept. The data of learning community was obtained from: 1) The mind map results from all groups, 2) The discussion along every group to arrange the mind map, and 3) The students’ scores of skeletal system concept test.  The instruments used were rubric of mind map assessment, observation sheet, and essay test. Qualitative descriptive was used to analyse data. The results showed that 80% of the mind map achieved the assessment rubric while the activity of students was 64.4%. The last, the highest grade of students’ test was gained by group 4, that was 8.84 out of 10. AbstrakPenelitian ini mendeskripsikan potensi penggunaan peta pikiran melalui learning community (LC) sebagai upaya meningkatkan aktifitas belajar siswa pada materi system gerak. Penerapan peta pikiran dilakukan sebanyak empat kali tatap muka untuk satu kompetensi dasar pada siswa kelas XI dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 27 orang. Seluruh kegiatan dilakukan secara berkelompok dengan mendesain peta pikiran yang dikerjakan sesuai materi. Data aktifitas belajar dengan LC yang dikumpulkan didapatkan dari 1) rubrik peta pikiran kelompok siswa, 2) aktifitas diskusi, dan 3) skor tes untuk materi system gerak. Instrumen penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah lembar penilaian, lembar observasi dan tes essay. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. This research is a development research using the Borg and Gall models. Learning devices developed modules questions. The results of the feasibility test indicate that the modull of Al-Quran based learning and the hadith developed are included in the very feasible category, with the average score of the feasibility assessment of design validation, the results of the first trial and the results of the second trial of 3.91, 4 54 and 4.83. Data analysis using t test, with sig value <0.05, which means there are significant differences in learning outcomes in the experimental  and  control class. The average score of learning motivation of students at Labuhanhaji 1 Junior and West Labuhanhaji 1 Junior High School are respectively 4.56 and 4.55 which are very well categorized. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the learning module based on the Koran and hadith can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of students, especially on reproductive system material. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan perbedaan hasil dan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kontrol pada pokok bahasan sistem reproduksi menggunakan modul berazaskan Al-Quran dan hadis. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian pengembangan menggunakan model Borg dan Gall. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan modul. Hasil uji kelayakan menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran  yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, dengan skor rata-rata penilaian kelayakan validasi desain, hasil uji coba I dan hasil uji coba II berturut-turut sebesar 3,91, 4,54 dan 4,83.  Analisis data menggunakan uji t, dengan nilai sig.<0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Skor rata-rata motivasi belajar peserta didik pada SMPN 1 Labuhanhaji dan SMPN 1 Labuhanhaji Barat berturut-turut  sebesar 4,56 dan 4,55 berkategori sangat baik. Therefore a movement is needed to educate the academic community, in this case Biology Education students through lecture assignments about endangered plant literacy.  Thus the problem in this study is how the literacy of endangered plants of Biology Education students as a result of mini research in plant biology lectures. This research is a descriptive research. The research instruments included a mini research assessment sheet, which included aspects of the accuracy of determining plant species which included endangered categories, descriptions of morphology, classification and benefits of these plants. Biology Education students are assigned to survey, inventory and observe endangered plants in West Java. Overall endangered plant literacy of Biology Education students is good, but the aspect that is still lacking is in determining plant species in endangered categories. One of the plants found in Sukabumi area is Cynometra cauliflora including vulnerable plants. Need to develop assignments and assessments to assess endangered plant literacy of students to be more comprehensive. AbstrakIndonesia dikenal sebagai salah satu negara mega biodiversitas tetapi ironisnya  keanekaragaman hayati di Indonesia justeru  mengalami penurunan, sehingga  ada sekitar  240 jenis tumbuhan sudah masuk dalam daftar tumbuhan langka. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan suatu gerakan untuk mengedukasi masyarakat akademis, dalam hal ini mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi melalui tugas perkuliahan tentang literasi tumbuhan langka.  Dengan demikian masalah yang diangkat pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana literasi tumbuhan langka mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi  sebagai hasil tugas mini riset perkuliahan biologi tumbuhan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar penilaian  mini riset, yang meliputi aspek ketepatan penentuan spesies tumbuhan yang termasuk kategori langka,  deskripsi morfologi, klasifikasi dan  manfaat tumbuhan tersebut. Mahasiswa  Pendidikan Biologi  ditugaskan untuk mensurvey, menginventarisasi dan mengobservasi tumbuhan langka yang berada di daerah Jawa Barat. Secara keseluruhan literasi tumbuhan langka mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi termasuk baik, tetapi aspek yang masih kurang sekali adalah pada penentuan spesies tumbuhan dalam kategori langka. Salah satu tumbuhan yang ditemukan di daerah Sukabumi adalah  Cynometra cauliflora termasuk tumbuhan berstatus rawan. However, it is not objective yet. This descriptive research aims to describe the pattern of verbal interaction during the learning process in class XI MIA. The research was conducted in 3 High Schools of Bogor City that implemented the Curriculum 2013. The matrix of Flander’s Verbal Interaction Category System (VICS) instrument was used to analyze interaction beetween teacher and students. The result of the study is the learning process in the three student-centered schools with the students multi-direction interaction patterns about 47,19% in School A, 74,37% in School B, and 70,77% in School.AbstrakPenelitian sebelumnya telah menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum 2013 telah berhasil. Namun, itu belum objektif. Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola interaksi verbal selama proses pembelajaran di kelas XI MIA. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 3 SMA Kota Bogor yang menerapkan Kurikulum 2013. Matriks instrumen Sistem Interaksi Verbal Kategori Belgia (VICS) digunakan untuk menganalisis interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa dan guru di kota dan di desa diukur dengan mengunakan dua jenis tes instrumen yang berbeda untuk guru dan siswa yang masing-masing terdiri dari 40 soal PISA dan TIMSS yang sudah di modifikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Ex-Post Facto. Populasi penelitian tiga sekolah di desa dan tiga sekolah di kota yang diambil secara purposive sampling berdasarkan nilai UN tinggi, sedang dan rendah di dua wilayah yang berbeda di kota dan desa, dengan jumlah subjek penelitian 480 siswa dan 16 guru yang diambil secara acak. Analisis data menggunakan uji ANAVA Faktorial 2x2x3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) terdapat pengaruh letak geografis sekolah di desa dan di kota terhadap literasi sains siswa dengan p<0,00 ; 2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh nilai UN terhadap skor literasi sains siswa dengan p>0,189 ; 3) tidak terdapat pengaruh literasi sains guru terhadap literasi sains siswa dengan p>0,318 ; 4) terdapat pengaruh letak geografis di kota dan di desa dengan input UN terhadap literasi sains siswa dengan P<0,00 ; 5) tidak terdapat pengaruh letak geografis dengan literasi guru terhadap skor literasi sains siswa p>0,194 ; 6) terdapat pengaruh input skor UN dengan literasi sains guru terhadap skor literasi sains siswa dengan P<0,00 ; 7) tidak terdapat pengaruh letak geografis, nilai UN dan literasi guru terhadap skor literasi sains siswa dengan P>0,712.  AbstractThis study aims to determine the science literacy ability of students based on teacher’s literacy abilities in cities and villages. The science literacy ability of students and teachers both in cities and villages were measured using two different types of test instruments each for teachers and students consisting of 40 modified PISA and TIMSS questions. The method used in this research is Ex-Post Facto. The study population were three schools in the village and three schools in the city chosen by purposive sampling based on the high, medium and low national examination (UN) scores, with the total number of research subjects of 480 students and 16 teachers taken at randomly. Data analysis was made using ANAVA test. The research method used was research and development of Borg & Gall that has been modified. A cluster random sampling was conducted to determine 59 students. Data validation was conducted from experts, education practitioners and peers, and students. On average the score of the validation was in a good category with the value of 86.38, 92.71, and 91,80 respectively. With regards to the affective performance, there was a significant different of the score for both experimental and control group. The experimental group gained 81.75 (good) while the control group 65.76 (sufficient).  On the other hand, the average value for psychomotor performance was relatively higher with 92.53 (very good) for experimental group and 75.91 (good) for control group. The results of data analysis using the SPSS application (version 21) showed that the data in both classes were normally distributed and homogeneous so that they were continued with independent samples t-test. The results of statistical tests of affective domains show Tvalue>Ttabel (15.992> 2.002) and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.005. Psychomotor domain data show Tvalue>Ttabel (18,312> 2,002) and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.005. Based on these results it was concluded that the use of the guided inquiry-based biology modules was able to improve students’ affective and psychomotor performances. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah afektif dan psikomotorik melalui pengembangan modul biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and development Borg&Gall yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 9 tahap. Sampel penelitian diambil secara cluster random sampling sebanyak 59 orang. Hasil validasi pengembangan modul oleh para ahli diperoleh nilai rerata sebesar 86,38 dengan kategori baik, hasil validasi oleh praktisi pendidikan dan teman sejawat diperoleh nilai rerata sebesar 92,71 dengan kategori sangat baik, hasil validasi oleh 16 orang peserta didik diperoleh nilai rerata sebesar 91,80 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata nilai hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah afektif di kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,75 dengan kategori sangat baik dan di kelas kontrol sebesar 65,76 dengan kategori cukup. Rerata nilai hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah psikomotorik di kelas eksperimen sebesar 92,53 dengan kategori sangat baik dan di kelas kontrol sebesar 75,91 dengan kategori baik. Hasil analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS v.21 menunjukkan bahwa data di kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen sehingga dilanjutkan dengan uji independent sampel t-test. This study was designed with a quasi-experimental methods, to form \"the two-group pretest-posttest design\". The instrument used in this study is the science process skills test items and mastery of concepts, student worksheets, observation sheets and questionnaires of students and teachers. The subjects of this study were students at one of the high schools in Kampar regency of Riau as many as 24 peoples in experimental class and 24 peoples in control class. The results showed that the guided inquiry learning students can develop character, enhancing science process skills and mastery of concepts students colloid significantly compared to conventional learning. Keywords: Guided inquiry; character values​​; science process skills; mastery of concepts; colloid Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis mind map Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan suatu model pembelajaran yang mengembangkan nilai-nilai karakter, keterampilan proses sains, dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan metode kuasi eksperimen, dengan bentuk “the two-group pretest-postest design”. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah butir tes keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep, lembar kerja siswa, lembar observasi, dan angket siswa dan guru. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Kampar Riau sebanyak 24 orang kelas eksperimen dan 24 orang kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa, meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep koloid siswa yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. More evidence is needed to convince educators and researchers regarding the actual value and the efficiency of video game in learning science. The purpose of this study was to examine the use of video game in learning to improve the mastery of concepts about the interaction of living beings and the environment of junior high school students who played the “Selamatkan Dunia Digital!” educational gaming application that has been developed by author in previous studies. This weak experimental study collected pretest and posttest results to determine students' mastery of concepts before and after Intervention. Normalized Gain of the pretest and posttest are assumed to be the effect of the intervention. The results show a low increasing mastery of concept by students who learned by playing game, so this study stated that learning science by using instructional video game media are still not able to facilitate mastery of concept of students.Keywords: interactive media; video game; mastery of conceptsAbstrakDalam dunia pendidikan, banyak penelitian empiris telah berhasil menunjukkan bukti bahwa video game memiliki potensi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, tetapi kontroversi besar masih ada pada literatur mengenai pengaruh game yang sebenarnya. Dibutuhkan lebih banyak bukti untuk meyakinkan pendidik dan peneliti mengenai nilai aktual dan efisiensi pembelajaran menggunakan video game. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penggunaan game dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep tentang Interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan siswa SMP.  Game yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah game yang berjudul “Selamatkan Dunia Digital!” yang telah dikembangkan oleh peneliti pada penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu, dengan desain The one-Group Prettest-Posttest Design untuk memperoleh gambaran penguasaan konsep siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Peningkatan nilai pada pretest dan posttest diasumsikan merupakan efek dari perlakuan. The study aimed to find out difference of crithical thinking between students taught with Problem Based Learning (PBL) method and Society Technology Science (STM) in the concept of virus. The subject are 64 students grade X of SMAN 11 South Tangerang City. Method used was quasy experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Sample were taken by simple random technique sampling. Instruments used was free analysis essay test. The result of postest percentage in both of class shows that (PBL) is better in giving the simple explanation and constructing the basic skill aspect, while STM model is better in giving further explaination aspect. In addition, the posttetest result was analyzed by t-test. The result gained was t-count is 2,79 and t-table with the significant of 5% is 1,99. It shows that there is a difference in in chritical thinking between students taught with PBL method and STM in the concept of virus. Keywords: quasi experiment; problem based learning; society tecnology science; chritical thinking skill Abstrak Standar kelulusan SMA di Indonesia mengharapkan seorang siswa menunjukan kemampuan berpikir logis, kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat pada konsep Virus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 11 Kota Tangerang Selatan kelas X yang berjumlah 64 siswa. Tipe Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan diberikan instrumen berupa tes essay uraian bebas sebagai pengumpul data. Hasil menunjukan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning lebih baik pada aspek Memberikan Penjelasan Sederhana dan Membangun Keterampilan Dasar. Aspek kritis pada Menjelaskan Lebih Lanjut lebih baik di model pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat. Analisis hasil menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan nilai t-hitung sebesar 2,79 lebih besar dari t-tabel sebesar 1,99 pada taraf signifikasi 5%. Dengan demikian keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran PBL berbeda dengan STM pada konsep Virus.
