The major targeted area was either the grid, commercial or residential consumers but the industrial sector was not widely explored; specially the spaciousness of the grid isolated industries or independent power plants (IPP’s). The paper intent to investigates the L.F methods and highlight their flaws, comprehensive review of their limitations and existing potential challenges to associated with electrical L.F. The study furthers three potential research questions and respective objectives attained after extensive quality assessment criteria for inclusion or exclusion of literature. However, in electrical load forecasting, the choice of parameters and model selection criteria leads to an optimization challenge. The methods proposed with trial and error combined with expert knowledge to optimize the input parameters have been widely used in past. Such custom-made approaches are difficult to be considered in the isolated industries or IPP’s due to their nature of operations. Also, the renewable energy integration with conventional grids has commended towards more precise and accurate L.F. This paper presents a comprehensive review of forecasting techniques for electrical load forecasting and examine the models. Additionally, the research gaps are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":309754,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131363511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we investigated shear stress when the temperature around the rotating rod was changed to 300 degree and the magnetic flux density was changed to 1.26 Tesla. As a result of the experiment, it was found that a V-Co-Fe magneto-rheological fluid was suitable for aircraft because shear stress did not increase or decrease rapidly due to temperature change even under high temperature and high magnetic field conditions.","PeriodicalId":309754,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132531683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, the brake torque of a magneto-rheological fluid was measured and also the transient characteristics were measured and evaluated when the viscosity, particle concentration, particle size and temperature of the fluid were varied. As a result, it was determined that the weight ratio of the magneto-rheological fluid and the temperature change had no effect on the time constant, while the particle material and the viscosity influenced the time constant.","PeriodicalId":309754,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132213488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, various deep learning methods were successfully applied to forecast rainfall. We survey papers that employ deep learning techniques to predict rainfall using meteorological data. The papers are examined in terms of the deep learning methods applied, location of the study area, types of metrics and software used for implementing the model and, year-wise publication of the papers. From the surveyed papers, we found that deep learning methods can be applied successfully for rainfall prediction and they are found to be superior than the traditional machine learning methods and shallow neural network models. We also provide future directions for research in the area of rainfall prediction.","PeriodicalId":309754,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115661441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The distance between the pairs of tags and the anchor is crucial for calculating the tag's position. The BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) estimated the distance from the received signal strength, while the UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) estimated the distance from the propagation delay. Although the signal strength in BLE has more easily interfered in comparison with the propagation delay in UWB, the BLE tag is smaller, cheaper, and easier to carry. In this paper, we focused on implementing positioning techniques to track visitors’ location while browsing the exhibition hall. The BLE is chosen for this paper based on economic scalability. Moreover, the installation time of anchors to the building remains a significant obstacle due to the limited time of preparing the venue. This obstacle includes the process of distributing tags to visitors and bringing them back. We have implemented our system on 6,000-20,000 square meters, with 20-25 meters high as a studied case. System installation costs and tracking results had been discussed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":309754,"journal":{"name":"2021 3rd International Conference on Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering (ICECIE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126057607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
