During the partitioning process, the clusters of objects are produced where each object is assigned to one cluster. On the other hand, the dominantset-based clustering provides a formalisation of clusters by sequentially searching for individual clusters in the set of objects. The resultant clusters do not necessarily form a partition of the set. With the popularity of clustering ensemble, graph-based consensus approaches have been proposed with promising results achieved, many of which are based on the partition of the graph. In this paper, a dominant-set-based consensus method for fuzzy-c-means-based clustering ensemble is proposed. Different from traditional graph-based consensus techniques, the graph generated by the fuzzy clusters are grouped on the basis of the extracted dominant sets. The proposed approach employs a similarity relation to denote the links between component clusters from which the final clusters of ensemble are derived with the extracted dominant set. The proposed method is tested on benchmark data sets against several alternative ensemble methods for fuzzy c-means. The results of experiment show that the proposed dominant-set-based clustering ensemble method generally achieves higher accuracy than its competitors.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"122 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133684983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Design robust recommender system and propose attack detection methods are the main research direction to handle shilling attacks, among which unsupervised PCA is particularly effective in experiment, but if we have no information about the number of shilling attack profiles, the unsupervised PCA will be suffered. In this paper, a new unsupervised detection method which combine PCA and data complexity has been proposed to detect shilling attacks. In the proposed method, PCA is used to select suspected attack profiles, and data complexity is used to pick out the authentic profiles from suspected attack profiles. Compared with the traditional PCA, the proposed method could perform well and there is no need to determine the number of shilling attack profiles in advance.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"99 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133110203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this problem, the first requirement is to detect the vehicles on the expressway. However, vehicle detection is a challenging problem due to among other things, small size of the vehicles, low resolution videos, high speeds of vehicles, and the long distance between the camera and the vehicles. Recently, deep learning-based approaches have shown extraordinary performance in many computer vision tasks. That is, the deep learning model: SSD (Single Shot MultiBox Detector) is applied and fine-turnedto detect vehicles in expressway. From the experimental results described herein, it is demonstrated that the method presented can detect more vehicles than the pre-trained SSD model.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115197286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, relative confidence factors of each classifier was proposed to correct the classification decision made by each classifier, and the final classification result was derived by fusing all corrected decision based on the combination of Dempster-Shafer's rule. The novel fusion scheme is evaluated in the scenario of sEMG-based hand movement identification, in which five classffiers are adopted. The experimental results demonstrated that the novel scheme can obtain higher classification accuracy and stability than the other methods.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"40 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116336903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a watermarking-based image quality evaluation scheme. The Logarithmic Spread Transform Dither Modulation is proposed based on the quantization index modulation and then applied to embed and extract the watermarks. The traditional objective metrics are employed to measure quality of images. We calculate the True Detection Rates (TDR) value to represent degradation of watermark. Considering that the embedded watermark and the watermarked image are distorted simultaneously, the image quality can be evaluated by matching the TDR value with a quality value on a pre-generated curve. Experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme provides a good image quality estimation result. The accuracy of the estimation keeps stabilization under different tested attacks, including JPEG compression, Gaussian noise addition and low-pass filtering.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127149152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, we propose to use the text that are produced from the suspended accounts in the aftermath of a hateful event as subtle and reliable source for hate speech prediction. The proposal was motivated after implementing emotion analysis on three sources of data sets: suspended, active and neutral ones, i.e. the first two sources of data sets contain hateful tweets from suspended accounts and active accounts, respectively, whereas the third source of data sets contain neutral tweets only. The emotion analysis indicated that the tweets from suspended accounts show more disgust, negative, fear and sadness emotions than the ones from active accounts, although tweets from both types of accounts might be annotated as hateful ones by human annotators. We train two Random Forest classifiers based on the semantic meaning of tweets respectively from suspended and active accounts, and evaluate the prediction accuracy of the two classifiers on unseen data. The results show that the classifier trained on the tweets from suspended accounts outperformed the one trained on the tweets from active accounts by 16% of overall F-score.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130420528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Handgesture contains large amount information that can facilitate the communication among humans, and it can also be utilized to interact with external devices. As a result, this study aims to decode the different hand gestures from sEMG signal. The thumb plays the most important role in hand-based object manipulation, such as touch screen control for smart phones, for which many thumb-based hand involved. Therefore, studying the relationship between EMG signals and the thumb movement has certain value for the future human-computer interaction. In this paper, we focus on the identification of electrode position. The signal from which is not so related to the thumb movement, and thus these sEMG channels can be reduced. In the experiment, a 16-channels sleeve is utilized and a variance-based method was proposedto identify the redundant channels. It is found that there exist three common redundant channelsacross nine subjects., and all located at the inside of the forearm.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126725389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its new financial way can bring the participant both abundant rewards and high risk. Therefore, there are many risk assessing companies springing up. But common companies just forecast if a P2P online loan platform will be absconding according some characteristics and they can't explain the reason why the platform will be absconding in the future. Instead of the directly forecasting the future status of a platform, the risk of a platform absconding is more objective and the decision makers can completely consider a platform's interest, risk and other factors to make their own decision. After all, 51% risk of absconding is not the same as 91% risk of absconding, when the investors are thinking. In this model, the almost features of platforms including absconding and non-absconding will be considered and be disposed according to the type of the data. The feature candidates will be selected by different angles and methods. The forecast model will calculate risks using the input feature and there is a index in this paper to appraise how the model is good.","PeriodicalId":309312,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (ICMLC)","volume":"166 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123385979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
