We have experimentally designed the cleaning system for single (Photovoltaic) PV panel. The weeper cleaning system is controlled using a microcontroller. The cleaning system operates by spraying an amount of water on the PV panel surface, and then actuating the weeper using a DC motor. Two limit switches are used to sense the weeper position at the edge of the PV panel. In the experimental test, an amount of dust is deployed on the PV panel surface to test its power performance. The experimental results have shown that the weeper can improve the efficiency of the PV panel of about 47% over the efficiency before the PV panel is cleaned. The weeper can be managed to work periodically for example five times in a day, or can be manually activated using remote control mechanism. The power performance of the weeper system is also tested. The percentage of the power consumption over total PV system power during standby condition of the weeper is about 0.79%. While during water spray and weeper operations, it consumes respectively about 8.94% and 4.49%. Mineralogical properties of the ores analyzed by means of optical microscopy and X-ray diffractometry (XRD) show that samples from Barru consist mainly of rhodochrosite (MnCO 3 ) with less cryptomelane, groutite, bixbyite, and todorokite. Goethite, calcite and small amount of quartz present as impurities. Manganese ore samples from Bone are predominantly composed of pyrolusite (MnO 2 ) with subordinate ramsdellite and hollandite. Barite, quartz, hematite and clay are present as gangue minerals. Chemical compositions determined by using XRF method revealed that Barru samples contain higher in MnO (average is 40.07 wt%) than the Bone samples (average is 34.36 wt%). Similarly, Fe 2 O 3 and CaO are also higher in Barru than those of the Bone samples. In contrast, concentrations of SiO 2 and total alkali (K 2 O + Na 2 O) are lower in the Barru samples. The average P 2 O 5 content of samples in both areas is low (<0.2 wt%). Relatively higher grade of Fe 2 O 3 in the Barru ore implies that it has potential application for ferromanganese production; whereas the elevated SiO 2 content of the Bone ore is a good indication for silicomanganese manufacture. However, both ores may not favorable to be directly used as raw materials in metallurgical uses. The vehicle is designed to make maneuvers under water and on surface of water, where its movement is guided remotely via a GHz-scale wireless communication system. The main electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle is an 8-bit microcontroller, which is used to control 6 motor actuators. Two motors are embedded in a ballast tank used for pumping and draining in and out of the ballast tank. While, the other four motors are used for vehicle movements on water surface. One wireless transceiver is embedded in a joystick and the other is separately placed in the waterproof box mounted on the vehicle. The performance tests present that, in general, the ROV can be controlled well with limited performance. The total weight of the vehicle is 10.35kg with weight density of 0.89kg/ltr. The objective of this study is that a robot equipped with a camera detects a rectangular parking frame, which is drawn on the floor, based on image processing. The desired target line to be followed by the robot is generated by using Hough transform from a captured image. The fuzzy controller is designed according to experiments of skilled driver, and the fuzzy rules are tuned and the fuzzy membership functions are optimized by experimentally for output. However, rotorcrafts have a disadvantage that it cannot have a long-distance flight, because they fly by the thrust of upward direction. Aircrafts with tilt rotors are developed in order to overcome such disadvantages. Such aircrafts can be hovering and take a VTOL and also a long-distance flight by changing the angle of the rotor. The wind energy can be converted into electrical energy using wind turbines or wind energy conversion systems. However, the exploration and utilization of wind energy potential in Indonesia is not optimal yet. Therefore, in the present study, the performance of a NACA2420 airfoil as wind turbine blade is evaluated. The main objective of the present research is to determine the optimum angle of the propeller blade that can deliver the most optimum performance. In order to achieve the objectives, the wind turbine blade model was tested using a wind tunnel at wind speeds varying from 2 to 9 m/s. From this research, it is demonstrated that the tunnel has helped to increase the wind speed. The maximum wind speed was generated from the tunnel when the fan distance was 1.1 m. In addition, the experiment was also carried out by varying the pitch angles to be 0, 5, 8, 15, and 30. The increasing of block size will reduce mine recovery and make mining operation become high cost.. To create a zoning deployment size of a block of rock, used the approach block volume and rock quality designation (RQD) method. Classification of rock block size is divided into four units: rock type 1, rock type 2, rock type 3, and unfracture. RQD value and volume block calculated from drill core in each spaced 50 meters. The research area is located on the concession. Vale West Block the hill X, Y and Z. The aim of this study to provide integrated information and details about the type of boulder based on the size and distribution so as to simplify the mining process. The method used is the measurement of the dimensions of the boulder adapted to drill point and compare RQD values which have been calculated on the drill log. Classification of rock type and the making of distribution maps using ArcGIS 9.2 software. Analysis of the results obtained at the X area, mostly including rock type 1 and large-sized as much as 35% of the sample surface and 67% of the core sample. The system used in this paper consists of an aluminum beam as a flexible link, a clamp-part, a servo motor to rotate the link and a piezoelectric actuator to control vibration. Computational codes on time history responses, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) processing and eigenvalues-eigenvectors analysis were developed to calculate dynamic behavior of the link. Furthermore, the AF control was designed to drive the piezoelectric actuator. Furthermore, the influence of oscillation condition on the electrical power generation properties of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) piezoelectric ceramics has been investigated. It is found that the power generation is directly attributed to the applied load and wave mode. The voltage rises instantly to the maximum level under square-wave mode, although the voltage increases gradually under triangular-wave mode. After this initial increase, there is a rapid fall to zero, followed by generation of increasingly negative voltage as the applied load is removed for all wave modes. Variation of the electric voltage is reflected by the cyclic loading at higher loading frequencies. On the basis of the obtained experimental results for the wave modes, the electrical power generation characteristics of PZT ceramics are proposed, and the voltages generated during loading and unloading are accurately estimated. The electric generation value is decrease with increasing the cyclic number due to the material failure, e.g., domain switching and crack. The influence of domain switching on the mechanical properties PZT piezoelectric ceramics is clarified, and 90 degree domain switching occurs after the load is applied to the PZT ceramic directly. Smart greenhouse allows for plants to grow optimally, because the temperature and humidity can be controlled so that no drastic changes. It is necessary for optimal smart greenhouse needed a system to manipulate the environment in accordance with the needs of the plant. In this case the setting temperature and humidity in the greenhouse according to the needs of the plant. So using an automated system for keeping such environmental condition is important. In this study, the authors use fuzzy logic to make the duration of watering the plants more dynamic in accordance with the input temperature and humidity so that the temperature and humidity in the green house plants maintained in accordance to the reference condition.
