Their expertise and tireless dedication sustain the high quality of the Journal. I am also grateful for the contributions of Mona Mittra and L. Elizabeth Stewart, the Journal's Managing and Associate Editors at IEEE, respectively. Their professionalism, skill, and close attention to detail allows the Journal to accurately publish over 2000 pages of technical literature each year. Peter contributed enormously to solidstate circuits community. In the 1970s he was an early pioneer in areas such as semiconductor memory, digital signal processing and computer-aided design. In 1991 he joined the SRC and subsequently played a very significant role in shaping the structure of research support for microelectronics. The more than 750 Gbytes of IEEE information — 660,000 articles, papers, and standards since 1988 — includes over three million pages of content from journals, transactions, magazines, conference proceedings, and standards.
